Another brilliant crime read by Heather Atkinson I found the book so hard to put down once I started.
Okay, this was yet another incredible read!
Heather Atkinson has fast become an auto-buy author for me. I look forward to her next release all year long. I can’t wait to see what she brings out next!
But you can’t keep a Savage sister down for long, and Jane and her gang The Unbeatable Bitches, along with their uncle Eddie, and cousins Dean and Harry are determined to fight to keep the Savage family on top.
But Carly isn’t so sure. Perhaps her father’s death is the opportunity she’s been waiting for – to finally get away from the life of crime and violence in Glasgow’s Haghill. Exhausted by the constant jockeying for power, she pictures a quiet place where no one knows who she is. She even dares to imagine making that life with the love she can’t forget – newly-crowned crime boss Jack Alexander.
But once a Savage, always a Savage, and when she and her family are threatened, Carly knows there’s only one thing for it. And it certainly isn’t a quiet life…
Heather Atkinson’s bestselling Savage family’s enemies are circling so stand by for a page-turning action-packed read. Perfect for all fans of Kimberley Chambers and Jessie Keane.
Loved it. I could really relate to Carly. Will recommend to others.
A Savage Inheritance is Book 4 in the Savage Sisters series and it follows the others in being just as gritty, fast paced and is another cracking read.
The Savage Sisters are suffering the loss of their father at the beginning of this book and the storylines develop showing Carly making some key decisions about her love life and Rose showing that she certainly isn't the little sister that needs protecting from 'the life' anymore.
There's gun dealing and double crossing which means the sisters don't know who to trust at points but the truth comes to light and tough decisions have to be made.
I'm hoping that we haven't come to the end of this series as it seems like there may be much more to come for the sisters yet!
This is book 4 in the savage sisters book series. This continues after the death of their father. The centre of the sisters world, now gone, leaving a huge hole in the family! It’s not long before the 3 girls are pulled back into a situation …
This was a great read!

A Savage Inheritance by Heather Atkinson has been one of the best gangland series to get your teeth into. I have loved this series from the very first book about the Savage Sisters and this is the 4th book! This book is a real page turner, with full of great twists and turns.....Fantastic instalment of the Savage sisters and what happens next to them Especially with the sudden death of Carly, Jane and Rose dad they are heartbroken. But nothing keeps them down for long, before you know it they are all back on form and rearing to go. Now, Jane and her gang The Unbeatable Bitches, and along with their uncle Eddie, and cousins Dean and Harry they are determined to fight to keep the Savage family on top.
This book is so good and I highly recommend these books. You will not be disappointed!
Big Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood books for my ARC.
The Savage sisters are grieving the death of their beloved Dad Alec. It seems as soon as he’s laid to rest every thing starts to happen. Carly’s ex boyfriend Jack is now deeper into the gangland business. Does she want him back or what about her feelings for her cousin Dean. This book is so fast paced with lots going on in a rollercoaster of an emotional ride. Who can the family trust and who is lying to their faces. Will they ever get to the bottom of everything that’s happening in Haghill at the moment. This is a great series that I highly recommend a well deserved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️read.
Oh wow, such a great story!! I read this book so fast, I couldn't put it down. I was shocked at the twist here.
When Carly, Jane, and Rose's dad, Alec, succumbs to pneumonia and dies just a few months after moving to a living facility, the girls are struggling. Carly especially. With both Jane and Rose in serious relationships, she's living by herself in their old flat. She left the gang life and is happy working at the bar where she's now the manager.
With Jack Alexander, her ex, as her family's new boss she sees him around a lot. She still loves him something fierce, but she was so hurt by his betrayal. But seeing him makes her happy. Even though she once had feelings for Dean, it's nothing like she ever had for Jack. When she agrees to try their relationship again, she's the happiest she's ever been.
But someone around town is setting up Jack. Or are they? What the Savage Family never expected was that it was someone that they had trusted. Will they ever recover?
A must read!
*I received a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
A Savage Inheritance is an action packed, compulsive read that keeps you turning the pages. The fourth book in Heather’s hugely popular The Savage Sisters series. With vivid characters who know their own minds and an unexpected ending. This is easily the best book in the series and one of our favourites that Heather has written so far.
Readers are dropped headfirst into a dark, thrilling exploration of gangland life, where power, loyalty, and love collide with devastating consequences in this book. The second book in the series, it stands on its own with plenty of plot twists and complex characters. It is the first book of the series that I have read and had no problem following along.
Jack, a hardened gang leader, is driven by his ambition to maintain control while wrestling with his deep love for Carly. His ruthless nature is contrasted by his internal vulnerabilities, making him a fascinating character. Carly, on the other hand, has left the gangland world behind, trying to find her place in a life free from crime, but her loyalty to family keeps pulling her back into dangerous territory. Dean Savage adds a layer of complexity with his unsettling infatuation with Carly, struggling between his loyalties to the gang and a desire for something more meaningful.
The book focuses on the trio’s struggles as they try to balance their dangerous gangland lifestyle with personal relationships and desires. Suspenseful and gritty, I found that I enjoyed even though gangland isn’t my normal theme.
Book 4 of 4
Loved all the books and was so excited to read this, I love gang land stories and this was as good as the others. The savage sisters are great characters, plenty of drama and emotion.
If you look a book that keeps you at the edge of your seat then read this.
Carly has left the gang life and is grieving for her father and while she is torn between two men her cousin Dean and crime boss Jack, her sisters have their own lives and Carly feels alone. Omg this is my most favourite book of the series, I thought the first one was excellent but this far exceeds it! It has all the regular gang wars and more. I felt for Carly and this is the first book of this genre that has made me cry. It's a heart pounding and emotional ride. The ending well I did not at all see that coming! I still don't know how I feel about it as I am trying to process it but it is damn good! A mind blowing conclusion.
This is book 4 in the Savage Sisters saga.
‘Once a Savage always a Savage’ is still a strong theme through the book.
You really need to read the previous books, but it won’t be a chore!
Have and will continue to read this author
Back with the Savage family in another superb instalment in this series.
Book 4 in the Savage Sisters Series.
Another brilliant read. I really can not fault this authors work. I have read almost every book and have not found one that I have not enjoyed. I find the books gripping, interesting and addictive. As soon as I see a new book by this author I know I will read it.
A great host of characters that are likeable and you want to read about them. The storylines always seem fresh and up to date.
Some great twists and anyone who has read and enjoyed other books by this author will love the Savage Sisters series.
Superb read and highly recommend.
I love this series..... They certainly are a gusty bunch of women .After the loss of their father Alec, Carly decides she no longer wants the gangland lifestyle, after her and her sisters find themselves lost. Carly is having personal problems with the 2 men in her life fighting for her attention. Decisions, decisions!!. Jack is the new boss of Haghill and wants carly back, but can they be safe and happy? As rival families plot against Jack and the savage family, can they still come out on top? And are secrets being held??? This has lots of twists and turns, I sure didn't see the end coming, it bought a tear to my eye.. what a fab book, highley recommend, I do hope there's more to come?
More tales of Carley and her sisters. Skulduggery, love and heartbreak had my emotions constantly going and my fingers constantly turning the pages.
I thought I'd got to know the characters in this book but the twist showed me I didn't.
A definite must read
Savage Sister's #4
When the patriarch of the family dies suddenly, his three daughters, Carly, Jane and Rose, are heartbroken. But you can't keep a Savage sister down for long, and Jane and her gang, The Unbeatable Bitches, along with their Uncle Eddie, and cousins Dean and Harry, are determined to fight to keep the Savage family on top. Carly, Jane and Rose are attending the funeral of their father Alec Savage. Carly wants to get away to start a new life, but it's not that easy. The women are all feisty characters. The family work for crime boss Jack Alexander, Carly's ex-boyfriend, in Glasgow's Haghill. Carly is the manager of a pub called Death Loves Company. This is a well-plotted, gritty, gangland, thrilling read.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #BoldwoodBooks and the author #HeatherAtkinson for my ARC of #ASavageInheritance in exchange for an honest review.
What another amazing and jaw-dropping book in the Savage Sisters series. If you have read the previous book then you will be aware that the three sisters are Savage by name and savage by nature. They are a force to be reckoned with, they take no prisoners and show no mercy if they are wronged.
After the death of their father, Alex, the sisters are feeling the grief, Rosie the youngest has her boyfriend, Jane her game and girlfriend and Carly, the eldest is feeling the loss. It seems that everyone has someone but her, she and Dean had started to become close but they are cousins so his father Eddie had warned him to back off.
Carly has been very wary of men since her split with Jack Alexander, he had slept with someone else to clinch a deal and it didn't go down well with Carly. Jack is a gang boss and has always wanted to get back together and has never lied to her about that.
There are rumours around Haghill in Glasgow, definitely, a place that sounds like a no-go if you are not known or welcomed there. It doesn't stop some from trying to make their own business there though and it seems that guns are being sold. No one convincingly who is exactly behind this new enterprise, but there is a lot of scheming going on.
The author has once again let the Savage sister run their lives on the pages once again, as much as they are vicious they are true and loyal to each other, family and friends. So when someone decides to threaten Carly you just know the author is not going to let it lie. She soon lets the intensity of the story and the characters show their traits, minds and ideas flow across the page. From one encounter to another, threats are ever present and the dangerous tension is palpable.
This one is just addictive from the start to the finish, what happens in between is amazing. hard-hitting, fast-paced and with violence that you would expect from gangs. From the get-go, you know there are going to be casualties and by the end, there are many twists and red herrings along the way to keep you on your toes.
Another fabulous book in the series and if you are a fan of tough, dark, gangland crime and thriller stories then this is one you want to have a look out for. It is brilliant and it is one I would definitely recommend.
If you like your gangland thrillers, then this is one for you. Set in Glasgow, featuring Carly and the Savage family, it is a bit of a rollercoaster of a read. This is the fourth book in the series and the best yet with excellent character development and twist plotting. Throw in some romance and it is the full package you would want in a thriller. The unexpected twist at the end left me wanting more. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.
Carly Savage and her sisters Jane and Rose are trying to get over their father’s and Crime Lord’s Alec savage death. With the help of her uncle, they are trying to keep the family business alive.
Carly is a manager for a pub called Death Loves company and after her father’s death decides she wants to get out of the family business and move away and start a new life. But that is easily said then done. When old habits dies hard and her ex-boyfriend from Haghill, Glasgow suddenly reappears, and her old feelings return for not only him but is smitten with her cousin Dean. But getting involved with Dean will create too much trouble. So, she gives Jack another chance, but the rest of the family are not too happy about it. When there is also rumours that a rival gang want to kidnap Carly, and her uncle thinks that Jack has something to do with it.
A savage inheritance by Heather Atkinson is book 4 in the Savage sisters’ series, which I wasn’t aware of and the first book that I have read from this author. But you can read this as a standalone. This is a fabulous gritty crime drama great for fans of Gangland crime set in Scotland. At first though it did take awhile to get use the Scottish dialect, but I enjoyed it, nevertheless. It has great characters and storyline, and an ending I didn’t see the ending. 4 stars from me.
