I am completely enchanted! This audiobook is a delightful blend of whimsy, romance, and heartfelt moments that kept me captivated from start to finish.
Ready’s storytelling is both charming and engaging, pulling you into a world where wishes come to life in the most unexpected ways. The characters are wonderfully relatable, each with their own dreams and struggles that resonate deeply. I found myself rooting for them as they navigated their journeys, filled with laughter and a few tears along the way.
The narrator did an incredible job bringing the story to life, infusing each character with personality and emotion. I loved how the pacing kept me hooked, making it hard to stop listening! The mix of humor and poignant moments made this a truly enjoyable experience.
If you’re looking for an audiobook that combines magic, love, and a touch of adventure, "Wished" is a must-listen! It’s the perfect escape for a cozy afternoon or a long drive. Grab your headphones and get ready to be swept away into this enchanting tale
As is often the case, I dove into Wished by Sarah Ready with little prior knowledge. However, knowing it was part of the Ghosted series, which can be read as a standalone, piqued my curiosity.
The story follows Anna, Max’s house cleaner, who has quietly loved him for years. Oblivious to her feelings, Max remains distant until one day Anna makes a wish that changes everything. But the big question is: what comes of it?
The book was a delightful surprise, filled with whimsical moments that genuinely made me smile out loud (yes, literally!). Initially, I expected a sweet, light hearted romance with a sprinkle of playful banter. However, I was completely caught off guard, not by an abundance of spice, but by Max’s unexpectedly dirty mouth! This added a surprising layer to his otherwise polished, proper character.
The story is well written, with a nice flow that keeps you engaged. While there are a few minor plot holes, they don’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the story. If I had to nitpick, I’d say Anna’s repeated denial of Max’s love grew a bit frustrating at times.
The audiobook narration was enjoyable overall, but I would have preferred Will to voice Max’s part. Since the story primarily focuses on Anna’s perspective, this choice makes sense. However, with two narrators available, using both consistently would have enhanced the experience. Additionally, during the prologue, there were moments where Will’s delivery felt rushed, making it difficult to catch some of the words.
Overall, Wished is a charming and enjoyable read, with likeable characters, humour, and just the right touch of spice. It’s perfect for readers looking for a sweet story with a dash of unexpected sass.

Anna cleans the beautiful mansion of jewelry mogul Max Barone and has been for the past three years. She believes in love at first sight and has fallen for Max in a BIG way. The problem is Max doesn’t even know she exists let alone her name. One day Anna stumbles upon a piece of jewelry while cleaning that supposedly grants a wish. Anna figures she might as well give it a shot even though she knows that things like that only happen in fairy tales. She wishes that she is married to Max. The next thing she knows Anna wakes up in an alternate reality where she has been married to Max for the past 7 years. It is everything that she has ever wanted, or is it?
This series is such a breath of fresh air. They are magical, romantic, a little spicy and great escape from reality. The romantic settings are a perfect backdrop to the heart breaking romances that find the characters struggling with choices and fighting their feelings. This one was no exception, Max and Anna’s story was heart warming.

This was my first Sarah Ready book and i definitely plan on reading more! I love series that have standalone books in them.
Anna was basically downbad for Max and he didn't know she existed, at least that's what she always thought... She cleaned his house, he built his Jewelry empire. I loved all the different realities and wishes made throughout their love story. The InstaLove trope was executed really well too, which can be hard to do, but given all their history it made perfect sense in Wished.
Thank you NetGalley for the ALC of Wished.
The final book in the Ghosted series is here! Although it can be enjoyed as a standalone, it does reference the previous books, so it's best to read the series in order. I love the little nods to earlier stories, which feels like a secret smile for my brain while reading this one. Max and Anna's story is my favorite in the series. Even though I'm not a fan of insta-love, the way it was portrayed here really made it work.
The romance is incredibly sweet, showcasing their intimacies, how they get to know each other, and the efforts each character makes to win the other over. The magical realism in this book is more subtle and feels almost realistic. The on-page chemistry is simply divine. Despite being opposites in many ways, both characters fully commit to everything they do—be it work, family, or love—displaying their all-in attitude.
I have such positive feelings about this story. The narrators did a fantastic job as well. Max opens and closes the book, and Will Watt could read a phone book and still sound amazing with his great voice. The rest of the story is told from Anna's perspective, and Amanda Ronconi delivers an outstanding performance, particularly with the accents and languages; everything flows beautifully. It's truly a top-notch story.
A solid 5 whimsical ⭐️s for this Magical Realism romance that I couldn’t seem to get enough of. I devoured this audiobook in one sitting! The series as a whole has far exceeded my expectations. I love Sarah Ready’s writing and the originality of the book. The characters were lovable and the book was overflowing with details that helped make the story come to life in my mind.. Such a fun read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Thank you NetGalley for offering this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I enjoyed this audio copy of Wished and can’t to buy a copy of my own.
Thank you to NetGalley for the audiobook of "Wished" by Sarah Ready. All opinions are my own.
I have been enjoying this series by Ready, and this audiobook was well done. Thank you.
I really liked this audiobook. I thought the narration was really good. I listened to it while driving to work and it kept me entertained the whole time.
I liked the plot of the story. The delivery of the story was slow. I had to speed up the audiobook. The narrators delivered the story in a dramatic tone. Explicit sex and mature language.
I enjoyed this audio book! It was a quick and easy listen that kept my attention and had me laughing along with the characters. Anna and Max were easy to like and their story was so cute! The settings sound beautiful and i could picture myself there with them. I would recommend this to my friends and family.
Thank you for the advanced copy via netgalley!
4.5 stars!
Anna Benoit works as a cleaner for Max Barone, who is a jewelry tycoon. She’s holding a Barone family necklace when she makes a wish to be married to Max. The following day, Max discovers that he has a wife of seven years and a rush of memories, but no actual recollection of falling in love and getting married.
Sarah Ready does it again and has become one of my favorite authors and this might be one of my favorite series ever! The plot was incredible and the dirty talk from Max was delicious. I loved seeing this relationship play out and the little Easter eggs that Sarah Ready threw in at the beginning (referencing Ghosted, Switched, and Fated…very clever!). I, now, plan on reading Sarah Ready’s entire backlist!

I liked Anna and Max’s story but this was my least favorite of the Ghost series books.
Wished empowered the strength of family heirlooms.
I did like Anna and Max together. Their connection was believable but could have been written better or stronger. I wish there had been more scenes before Anna made her wish. We didn’t really get to see how they interacted prior to the alternate timeline beginning.
I still love Sarah Ready’s writing style and I have absolutely loved this series. Wished just fall a little short of my expectations.
The audiobook was well narrated and really brought this story to life. Amanda Ronconi and Will Watt is an amazing job.
I read this before knowing it was a series - I may have enjoyed it more if I read the other books first! Turns out this is book 4!
with that said, I still did enjoy the book. This was a opposites attract, rich privilege romance. Fantasy element with a wish being granted.
This was such an interesting take on what happens when your wish comes true. Is it what you wanted, or does it turn into a nightmare? I enjoy these narrators, they really do bring the story to life.
I DNF this one . I couldn’t get into it at all. I did try a few times but it wasn’t for me. I wasn’t a big fan of the narrator either.
I can’t recommend this one
Hey there, fellow book lovers! I finished “Wished,” the fourth installment in Sarah Ready’s Ghosted series, and I have to say, I’m feeling pretty good about it—definitely a solid 4-star read!
Right off the bat, I loved how Ready continues to weave together humor and heart in this one. The characters are relatable, and the storyline has that perfect blend of whimsy and depth. I mean, who doesn’t love a little ghostly romance with a side of hilarious misadventures? It’s like she’s mastered the art of mixing laugh-out-loud moments with some tear-jerking scenes. I found myself chuckling one minute and then reaching for the tissues the next. Seriously, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions!
Now, let’s talk about the audiobook narration. I listened to it while commuting, and wow, it really brought the story to life! The narrator did an amazing job capturing the characters’ quirks and personalities. It felt like I was right there in the middle of the action, sharing in the laughs and gasps as the plot unfolded. The pacing was spot on, and the narrator’s voice was just the right blend of warm and engaging—it really drew me in. If you’re considering the audiobook, I’d totally recommend it!
As for the plot, Ready keeps it fresh and exciting. I loved how she introduced new characters while still keeping the familiar faces we’ve come to adore. Each chapter was a delightful surprise, and I found myself eagerly flipping (or tapping, in my case) to see what would happen next. There’s a nice balance of tension and resolution that kept me hooked until the last page.
Overall, Wished is a fantastic addition to the series and definitely worth your time. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just diving into the Ghosted world, you’ll find something to love here. So grab a cozy blanket, a cup of your favorite drink, and settle in for a delightful read (or listen)! Happy reading! 📚✨
Loved the story!! Some parts are super spicy, (I knew going in it would be) definitely shouldn't be listened to around littles or on speaker 😂 other than that, I really enjoyed this book!! Thanks NetGalley, the publisher, and Sarah Ready for an ARC of this book!!

Review:
If you're a fan of magical realism, swoon-worthy romance, and a dash of comedic chaos, Wished by Sarah Ready is a perfect pick!
This fourth installment of the Ghosted series (which, yes, can totally be read as a stand-alone) introduces us to Anna Benoit, a hopeless romantic who’s been quietly crushing on Max Barone, the oblivious owner of the massive chateau she’s been cleaning for years.
Anna knows Max's favorite late-night snacks, TV shows, and even his taste in books, but there’s one tiny problem… he barely knows she exists. One day, while tidying up his home, she stumbles upon a necklace with a "wishing" message. Naturally, she makes a cheeky little wish to marry Max. No harm, right? Except, the next morning, she wakes up as Mrs. Barone, living her dream life... or so she thinks.
But here's the catch: Neither Anna nor Max remembers the last seven years of their supposed "marriage." This sets the stage for a hilarious and heartwarming journey as they try to piece together their unexpected life and Mr. & Mrs. The story is filled with confusion, laughter, and sweet moments as they both question what's real and what's simply a fantasy.
I shuffled between the ebook and audio. Narrator Amanda Ronconi brings Anna’s story to life with her impeccable voice work, capturing the emotional highs and lows with just the right amount of flair. Her narration keeps you hooked as Anna and Max navigate their topsy-turvy world. With only the prologue and epilogue narrated by Will Watt, Ronconi shines throughout the rest of the audiobook.
Packed with humor, heart, and just the right sprinkle of spice, Wished is an absolute delight for fans of magical realism and feel-good romance. If you’re looking for a charming, lighthearted story with a touch of whimsy, this audiobook will not disappoint!
Wished provides some fairy tale based romantic escapism in a cute audiobook that was thoroughly enjoyable.
I hadn't read/listened to anything by Sarah Ready before Wished and wasn't aware that it was book 4 in the Ghosted series but I'll be going back to read the others and will keep an eye out for new releases by her too.
I chose to DNF this; the writing just wasn’t my style! The narrator was not my favorite! Thank you for the opportunity!
