This imaginative retelling of Alice in Wonderland is a delightful twist on a classic that I absolutely adored! Growing up, I was captivated by the whimsical world of Alice, and this new story adds an engaging layer of complexity to her adventures.

I love how it introduces fresh elements while staying true to the spirit of the original tale. It’s not just a nostalgic trip down memory lane; it’s a new experience that allows a new generation to explore Alice's world in a brand new way. As a kid, I was always drawn to the eccentric characters and fantastical landscapes, and this book beautifully captures that magic while infusing exciting new layers into the story.

This retelling invites readers of all ages to dive back into Wonderland, viewing it through the eyes of a more resourceful and adventurous Alice. I can’t wait to share it with my kids, hoping to ignite in them the same love I have for this timeless tale!

This book feels like a warm hug. I enjoy the writing style and the ease of reading this book. The pacing is nice and the chapters are a good length. Even though this is middle grade level, it's still enjoyable as an adult. I can imagine if you love the original Alice in Wonderland, you will love this too.

The tone of this book would definitely appeal to Alice in Wonderland fans and students that enjoy reading the classics. Alice as a spy, is a really fun concept and would appeal to your middle grade readers.

I couldn't help wondering who I would recommend this book to in our Junior library... The reason I pondered this is I would be interested to know how many students have read or watched Alice in Wonderland? As an adult and being old enough to have read and watched many interpretations I wonder if a student in Years 5-8 would have the same understanding. Would it still be enjoyable as a standalone and without having read/experienced versions of Lewis Carroll originals?

So, I've read my fair share of Wonderland-inspired sequels, prequels and retellings and I think this is my favorite yet.

It is a sequel to Alice in Wonderland and Alice through the Looking Glass, where Alice operates as a spy to avoid destruction of both lands.

And let me tell you, it really, really feels like a prequel. The writing style feels very similar to the originals, just a bit more modern. Not in a copy and paste way but rather in a way that works very, very well - at least for me. There were so many fun and witty passages, I had to grin all the time at the cleverness. Read this in one go and felt enchanted all the way through!

From Wonderland with Love
By Jeffery Westhoff
Published by Ringtail Publishing

A typically strange but intriguing adventure into the topsy turvy world of Wonderland and Looking glass world.
However, this time Alice is a spy! But Alice knows nothing about spying!
But someone NEEDS to rescue the T.A.R.T.S. (a very powerful secret weapon) that the mischievous Knave has stolen.

The Cheshire Cat gives instructions.
Tweedledum and Tweedledee are in competition with each other, as always.
The Knave thinks he has control.
But above all - The King and Queen rule!
So it is left to Alice, the shrinking girl, to save each world from destruction and ruin.

Think female James Bond thanks to the gadgets!
Think imagination beyond thoughts!
Think anything can happen if you let it!
What could go wrong?

Suitable for readers 11+

This was an interesting story. The plot line was interesting and i picked it up because it seemed like something i usually read. The writing wasn’t my favorite. The story had an off demeanor. But overall i might recommend

A twist on the classic Alice in Wonderland tale. Alice, now a spy, embarks on a thrilling mission to retrieve a stolen weapon. The book blends the charm of the original with an exciting spy adventure, making it a fun read for middle-grade and young adult readers. It's fast paced and whimsical.

Alice is now twelve years old, and is summoned back to Wonderland by the King and Queen of Hearts, to become a spy.
Alice fans, young and old alike, will love this book. It has a bit of a James Bond twist compared to Lewis Carroll's Alice, but is still very much Alice.
Very enjoyable.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers, and author for letting me read this book in return for my honest review

I usually don't love retellings but when I read the description I knew I needed to try this one and it really delivered. This was so fun and unique

Such a darling book! Jeff Westhoff takes on a journey back to Wonderland 5 years after Alice’s last visit. This is a fun new take on the beloved story of Alice In Wonderland. All of the same quirky characters we know and love make an appearance but we get to experience new adventures with lots of humor along the way. This book’s targeted audience is for middle school but is appropriate for all ages. I can’t wait to add it to my shelf and share this story with my children.

Being a huge fan of Alice retelling this was a great change to my usual dark retelling.

This was light hearted and fun. The target audience is middle grade/ teens / ya and whilst being a bit older than the intended audience I loved how easy it was to read but also had a great story that moved at a reasonable pace

I would love to have read the story of Alice’s first encounter and game with the knave the first time as there is few references to this (maybe a prequel could be written ?.) but this is only a minor thing and doesn’t really impact the

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite storylines to read. I was very interested to read "From Wonderland, With Love" as another adventure, though a difference lens. Interesting read and easy flow to the writing style. Lovers of Wonderland will enjoy this version.

my opinion on from wonderland, with love is that a short quick book that anyone can read without it taking too long , i enjoyed the book especially the characters, for example the knave and his personality , I also like how the ending was left on a sort of cliff hanger which makes you wonder what else Alice is going have to do? however i feel like the outcome which happened to the knave was kind of anti-climatic and that there should've been more to it, other than that its a great book.

I adored this book from start to end. The writing was phenomenal and I loved the whimsy aspect of it that was brought in from the original Alice in Wonderland. I can't wait to read the next one as well.

Alice is back in a new adventure! Full of action, thrills, adventure, with characters that will give you a large dose of nostalgia.

From wonderland with love follows Alice as she’s pulled back into the world of Wonderland and Looking Glass Land. Alice is recruited by the king and queen of hearts to act as a spy to recover T.A.R.T.S - a powerful secret weapon.

This was fun! It was nice being back in Wonderland with familiar characters from my childhood. Jeffrey Westhoff did an impeccable job at carrying on Lewis Carroll’s legacy.

Great for children, teens, and even our Alice loving adults, I highly recommend From Wonderland With Love!

An interesting enough take on the Wonderland story, but it just didn't grab me the way I wanted it too. It feels like a continuation of Lewis Carroll's work, and I mean that in a good way, but I think I was looking for something a little more modern when I picked this book up. It's just a little boring in the beginning and I didn't love it a lot. It was decently good over all though, and I enjoyed reading it.
