Aw, and just like that, the final Kelly sister has her happy ending.
This has been a lovely series set in the stunning Irish countryside, following a family who love, laugh, cry, and show us all how a family should always come together for each other.
I loved seeing the evolution of Hannah in this from eco-warrior to role-model. It was brilliant to see her recognition of toxic behaviours and journey to a better life.
Of course, this series wouldn't be as fun without the colourful characters contained. In this one, Princess Leia played a huge part and provided many comedic moments.
This is a super easy book to race through and is light, heartwarming, and full of hope. Making this the perfect read to curl up with this christmas.
I've enjoyed this series immensely and look forward to seeing what comes next.
Saving Christmas in the Little Irish Village is a cozy and utterly delightful read that perfectly captures the magic of the holiday season.
Hannah Kelly is a relatable and determined heroine, fighting to preserve her hometown’s cherished landscapes while grappling with the unexpected complexities of her connection to Tom Flynn. Their dynamic is filled with both sparks of chemistry and heartfelt moments, making for a great will-they-won’t-they romance.
With just the right amount of drama, humor, and romance, Saving Christmas in the Little Irish Village is the perfect book to curl up with during the holiday season.
Michelle Vernal deliver another cosy, heartwarming story in a festive mood. Entertaining, the perfect read for a cold winter afternoon
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
This was a really cute, Irish Christmas story!
It had cozy Christmas vibes and a bit of a love story.
I liked that Hannah stood up for what she believed in and wanted to make a change in the world.
I did, however, find her very annoying and judgemental at times.
I loved her bond with her sisters and her family.
Princess Leis stole the show. Everyone loves a chaotic pet!
I would definitely recommend this!
Back in The Little Irish Village and this time its Hannah’s turn
Another lovely gentle read that wraps you in a warm hug with characters that feel like friends
I love Michelle Vernal’s books and this one is a Christmas cracker! We are back at the Shamrock Inn with the Kelly family and this time it is the turn of Hannah, the eco-warrior of the family. Helped by her Nan she is trying to save a local landmark from outside developers, but there are lots of twists along the way and can she perhaps find a Christmas romance? Strongly recommended.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was a cozy, heartwarming book. I really enjoyed it a lot!
A wonderful, sweet contemporary romance. This book tells about the sister Hannah. They should be read in order.
This is part of a interconnected series however it can be read as a stand alone which I always appreciate. The main character is on a mission to save this little village. This was such a heart warming feel good romance. Just in time for the winter, this is definetly a must read if you want a good fluffy romance!
I adore the books set in Emerald Bay with the Kelly family and I'm quite sad that this is the last of the series. (I think)
Michelle Vernal has a lovely writing style that keeps you thinking that you are emerged in a warm hug. The community that she creates with the cantankerous and the chilled, the nosy and the nice, the do-gooders and the dears, never fails to raise a smile while I am reading. I like the way that her characters aren't all on pedestals to be Disney princesses but they are real with flaws and stubbornness and dodgy episodes galore with their knickers.
Hannah, I must admit, wasn't the favourite sister due to her seemingly alien views about most things and her ferociousness to get her own point across. This book in her point of view wasn't bad though and it was good to get to know her from the inside out. I really enjoyed knowing more about the family history and some of Nora and Kitty's backstory.
I'm going to miss visiting Emerald Bay and hope that there is a new series to sink my teeth into soon.
My thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture and Michelle Vernal to the opportunity to read this ARC, all opinions posted are my own.
Hannah returns home to save the local historic paupers cottages from being revamped into a snazzy garden centre and Christmas tree farm. She’s secretly in love with boss Dylan a dynamic activist who gets the job done but by any means. Her parents have let a room to Tom who is working on a secret project in the bay and once Hannah realised what it is she vows to save the cottages. What she doesn’t expect is to really like him. Then the past comes back to completely uproot everything in the family and Hannah knows there will be a pride to pay.
This was lovely and I really need to read some of the other books in the series too.
Thank you NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.
I have read a lot of the books featuring the Kelly family and this one is excellent too. A love Christmas story Which mainly features Hannah and an Architectural expert who is trying to destroy a part of their village and the drama that ensues.
Saving Christmas in the Little Irish Village was a lovely, comforting read, perfect for a Christmasy evening with a mug of hot chocolate.
My favourite characters were Kitty and Princess Leia! The book was a slow burn romance and I wanted the main characters to end up together.
I started this book thinking it was meant for a child/teenager but realised that was just the introduction! Set in an Irish village Hannah comes home early for Christmas to save the town from a garden centre being built on land with historical meaning. She returns home to find that the architect on the project is staying at her parents pub meaning she has to make small talk with him whilst she is not wanting to like him she is drawn to the fact that he is not what he seems.
Will Hannah save the village from the garden centre and find love in the process? This was a lovely story line and I have seen that this author has written other books in this series which I will now be adding to me to read list.
I've been on a major Irish kick since a recent trip to Ireland, and while I enjoyed this while reading it, I wouldn't say it was remarkably memorable. That being said, I do think it is part of a series, and it may have made it a more interesting read if I was already familiar with some of the characters and the setting. It was still charming though, and the perfect read for a cozy afternoon with some hot cocoa by the fire.

✨ small town romance
✨ Christmas spirit
✨ opposite attract
✨ oooo. I struggle to read this book I got to be honest. It was a lovely plot covering Ireland in a small village with full of life but the romance in this is quite repeated?! I mean I felt like it’s the same plot over from the author other book. Probably it’s just me, but this book is okay:)
✨ the story of opposite attract together is okay, not much love for the characters but it has an edge on each povs.
✨ Thankyou @bookouture for the opportunity to read this book for a honest review.

This book will get you in the Christmas spirit! Hannah rushes home to save her neighborhood from developers. Tom Flynn is the American developer who Hannah falls for. But as the sparks are flying, Hannah discovers that Tom is hiding secrets from her. I loved everything about this book! All of the family and the people in the town are delightful.
This is my first book by Michelle Vernal but it won’t be my last! I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Many thanks to the author, Bookouture and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of the book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Although Saving Christmas is the fifth book in the Little Irish Village series it is easily read as a standalone.
Hannah is the middle Kelly sister and the main character in the story. Hannah is an environmental activist and is trying to preserve Emerald Bay and it's heritage before the corporate bigwigs move in. She's determined, feisty and nothing or no-one is going to get in her way!
The residents of the little village of Emerald Bay and the customers of local boozer The Shamrock are such a close knit community and that's always a bonus for me.
As Christmas reads go it's the perfect heartwarming, holiday romance and throughly enjoyable.
Saving Christmas in the Litle Irish Village by Michelle Vernal is a heartwarming read that is perfect for cooling weather as we hurtle toward the end of the year.
Hannah Kelly is passionate about the environment, all creatures and her home town, where her parents own a pub, the Shamrock Inn. After a devastating breakup, Hannah returns home to her family, including her four sisters and their hilarious cat Napoleon who has a penchant for pilfering pants.
Hannah has another reason for returning home. She has heard that a local farm with a great deal of sentimental value to the community is going to be demolished to make way for a retail park. Hannah's conservationist heart is fired up to prevent this travesty,
Then there is Tom Flynn, an American who has come to stay at the inn. He claims he is the grandson of the families beloved elderly neighbour Maeve Doolin, who Hannah will protect at all costs
Despite the rocky start, Hannah and Tom become close as they spend time together, albeit because Hannah initially wants to suss him out and find out if he is really who he says he is. However, Hannah discovers that Tom has a secret, a secret that is very likely to put the kaibosh on their budding romance
A delightful story interspersed with great humour and likable characters, definitely a book to add to your fall/ winter tbr!
