Thank you to NetGalley for my ARC of this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found the concept refreshing and intriguing.

The setting of Tromsø, fjords and the airship itself were described perfectly. At no point did I feel the author was excessive in his descriptions, but I felt I could picture every setting perfectly.

The storyline was intriguing and made for a great murder mystery. The introduction of all the characters as a list at the beginning felt daunting in feeling there was no way to remember who was who, but the author did a great job of naturally allowing you to get to know them all. I enjoyed the numerous different factors surrounding the death and how these could be linked to almost all of the characters at times.

Where the book lost a star for me was how other storylines didn’t feel deep enough for me. The main character’s life was described well, but she still felt quite two dimensional. I think I’d have enjoyed it more if the relationship between characters had been strengthened and changed throughout the book.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I’ll definitely be giving others by this author a go!

Not a bad read. A bit predictable and very slow going so wasn't sure I was going to stick with it. However I did and it wasn't a bad read. On holiday if you found this to read by the pool you'd be happy

First book by this author and I found it really good. Great twist at the end.

Absolutely brilliant with a fantastic location.

Chloe Campbell is a struggling travel blogger who gets given the opportunity of a life time, which she jumps to accept. The opportunity involves writing a review of a brand new luxurious airship, on a trip round the North Pole, the first of it's kind.

Once Chloe arrives at the location to board the airship she feels an unease, that something is not quite right and rightly so as after the first night on board, a body is found under suspicious circumstances.

Stuck at the top of the world miles from civilisation, this locked room mystery will keep you guessing.

Not a bad little mystery but it took a long time to get going. I was almost half way through the book before someone actually died. So very much a slow burner. Not really an edge of your seat kind of book.

A classic locked room mystery, set in the unique environment of a helium airship. We walk along with several of our characters throughout the journey, each having their own secrets, of which some may be a reason for murder.

Nicely written, however the ending was fairly expected.

I loved this book. I was entertained by Hindle’s writing style, plot, characters and trying to discover the killer. Short chapters had me whizzing through the book. I couldn’t put it down.

The story is about a luxury airship, the Osprey, on her promotional 2-day flight to the North Pole, owned by Skyline Voyages. The passengers were hand-picked for this flight to promote the future flights of The Osprey. There is a passenger & crew manifest at the beginning of the book which I found helpful.
The writing is pacy and atmospheric with red herrings and lots of banter between the passengers and the crew. Once The Osprey is in the air, the fun begins….and then a dead body is found. An accident….or not? I recommend reading the book to find out! This novel is for all ''whodunnit'' fans.

I would give a 4-star rating.

THANK YOU TO THE PUBLISHER AND NETGALLEY FOR THE OPPORTUNITY OF READING AN ADVANCED COPY OF THIS BOOK IN RETURN FOR AN HONEST REVIEW. ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

This was a step up from previous works. I was engrossed throughout but it was starting to get predictable.

This book has the unique setting of an airship above the North Pole, and what a great setting it turned out to be! I absolutely loved this book, Tom’s writing style was brilliant and kept me needing to read more and more. The plot and characters were really well developed and it made for a great read.

Another cracking piece of classic crime from Tom Hindle. I thought the setting and overall plot was fantastic, I particularly loved the use of air ships and even ended up down a rabbit hole looking into their history and potential comeback! The sense of place was great and the characters were all well developed with plenty of misdirection to keep you hooked. I did have a slight suspicion of how things would turn out but this definitely didn’t affect my overall enjoyment. If you have enjoyed Tom’s other novels then you’ll love this one too!

A very ‘Agatha Christie’ like read. Set in an airship on its maiden voyage, Enjoyable story. Likeable characters. A little too cosy a mystery for me.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review.

Having read and enjoyed all of Tom Hindle's previous books I knew what to expect in terms of writing style and genre and that I was in for a good read! This book did not disappoint. The plot revolves around the maiden voyage of an airship to the north pole, with a collection of passengers and crew who all have issues with each other and company behind the expedition. Soon things start to go wrong and then there is a death... With everyone trapped on the airship it's a classic trope of the genre that they are all required to confront the problems, with no escape.

It's a page turner and I would recommend to anyone who's read any of Tom's previous work or is a fan of the genre.

A group of people are on the maiden flight of a very high end luxury airship when one of them is found dead in their cabin. Tension builds as the flight to the north pole is abandoned and they have to return to Norway.

What I liked about this book: The premise is highly original. A luxury airship? Who would think to bring this back into play after the Hindenberg disaster? The characters are well rounded for the most part.. I especially liked the blogger, Chloe.

What I wasn't sure about: The main problem with a 'locked-room' mystery is that there is a lot of exposition needed. Someone always has to explain how it was done and this, i find, always drags a bit. I also found it a bit repetitive in places e.g. the death of one of the character's fathers is outlined twice when it should only be done once.

Overall, a mixed bag. Those who like this type of mystery will enjoy this. I liked it to begin with but I never found it to be a real page-turner and I guessed the who did it and why almost as soon as I started reading. Thanks to NegGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House for allowing me to read and review this wonderful book.

Overall I really enjoyed it, and would have rated it a 5 star if I had not been able to figure out who-dun-it about 100 pages from the end - but there were a few little twists that I did not see coming.
I really loved the descriptions of the ship and the surrounding landscapes throughout, which allowed me to really get lost in the story and not want to put the book down - even reading through to the small hours of the morning.

I would recommend this to all cosy mystery lovers as it gave me Agatha Christie feels.

Travel writer Chloe Campbell needs this commission to work out. She doesn’t have much left in the tank – careerwise or moneywise – and this, a chance to board a luxury airship flying to the North Pole – is an opportunity to get her name out there and earn more commissions. It sounds idyllic; 20 years in the making, gliding through the hemisphere with the best in food and drink and with friends of one of the co-owners. All is well until the temperature drops, a storm hits and, oh, a dead body is discovered. Clearly, no one joined the party en route, meaning the killer is on board and everyone is quick to turn on each other. It’s meant to be a trip of a lifetime, but it’ll definitely be one she won’t forget. This is neatly paced, and you’ll skip through it hoping you’ve figured out whodunnit.
