I really loved the themes of this book, because it felt like it was talking directly to me. A book about a 30 something who has climbed the corporate ladder incredibly quickly, partially to impress her parents, and is now in a constant state of wondering whether it’s all worth it? Who has crippling anxiety, which causes imposter syndrome and self sabotage? Who falls in love with the man who spends every day focused around the thing he loves the most because he refused to conform to societal and parental expectations? It’s my story, except with rock climbing instead of trail running.
I also loved the setting. Yosemite is one of those places that will change your life if you let it. So I love seeing others appreciate its grandeur. If you loved You with a View, check out Love on the Rocks.
And I love, love, love a shy, recluse of a MMC, especially when they’re so ripped they make it in the body issue of Sports Illustrated!
Fun little romcom!
