A really interesting idea - and one which I fully expected to grab me from the outset - but sadly it didn't work out like that.
Sabine was a character that I found it hard to really understand. If something like this was happening you'd have questions, and you might start to consider the implications of how you managed your time/what you did. I found myself flitting from life to life but not really being unduly concerned what happened - which is a shame as I can imagine that some readers will love this.
