While this was a interesting read to say the least (extremely spicy), I flew through it in less than 24 hours. I really liked how the author tells you as it is, what to expect in the book with content warnings as well. Therefore also read at own risk.

I really enjoyed aspects of this book, but overall had mixed feeling about it as a whole. For example, the relationship between the FMC and the MMC was really difficult for me to decide how I felt. Sometimes the MMC was sweet and kind and loving, and then he outright seemed like he hated the FMC, and vice versa. When he was being loving I really liked it, but for large portions of the book he really grated on me.
I also liked the storyline, but felt it was not weaved through well enough. It’s strongest at the beginning and then the end. The middle is honestly just a host of spicy scenes that I ended up skipping a lot of to try and get to more story.
I haven’t decided if I’ll continue with the series at this point. If I do continue, it will be because of the cliffhanger. All in all, not a bad read, but it definitely wasn’t my cup of tea.

Wasn't expecting this to just be crappy bdsm harry potter. It's my own fault for not reading the synopsis, I suppose. But I wasn't expecting the silly werewolf private sex school. They have to wear different color socks based on if they are virgins or not. WHAT IS THAT?! The writing wasn't good and the twist at the end was so out of left field that I was appalled by it. There was one single scene that was hot as all heck though so two stars just for that one scene.

Not in love with this book, I wanted to like it but it just fell a bit short. I think this series may just not be for me.

Collared By The Vampire Prince by Darcy Fayton. Kira & Nathaniel’s Duet, book 1. This is a dark, spicy, paranormal romance.
I am a fan of werewolves, vampires, and dark romance, but I just wasn’t impressed with this book. There was too much spice and not enough plot for me. If you like a lot of spice with a little less plot this could work for you.
I was provided with a review copy of the ebook and this is my honest opinion. I gave this book 2.5 stars. (If I am unable to leave partial stars, I will always round up.) I do not plan to continue on with the duet.
Thank you NetGalley and Darcy Fayton.

There's not a lot I can say. I was intrigued by Kira's "true self" & would assume more about that would come out in the second book of the duet. I liked this book more than the other duet with Susie and Arken the headmaster (was not interested in reading their second book). Kira's & Nathaniel's story felt less forced. Thanks for the opportunity - NetGalley and the publisher.

I was really excited to get into this book, but unfortunately, it was a bit of a let down for me.
It was advertised as a super spicy read, but it felt almost like entirely spice with some plot sprinkled in. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this, but it would’ve been nice to have this advertised so expectations could have been a little clearer going in.
I liked that there was a dual POV in this book, especially because Nathaniel’s POV added some details that Kira either didn’t know or was oblivious to. This really helped the reader fill in gaps and information. At the same time, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the dual POV because there was a lot of repetition at the start of the new POV of what just happened, but with a new narrator, and it wasn’t always a consistent story. Sometimes, what had happened would change between POVs.
Something else that bothered me about this book was the shift between first and third person. It was prominently third person with the narrator knowing all the thoughts of the characters, but sometimes it would switch into first with the narrator talking with “I” and “me.” This unnerved me and took me out of the story a bit.
I liked a lot of the side characters and would’ve liked to see more of them throughout the story. I did some research and found that there are other books for some of them, but it would’ve been nice to get to know them a bit more, especially when they were important to the plot.
I don’t regret reading this book, but I don’t think I’ll be recommending it anytime soon.
Thank you so much to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for an ARC of this book.

Thank you to the Author and NetGalley for providing the book for an honest review.
The book started off with Kira already knew what was coming her way, but was thrown off course by Nathaniel’s cool demeanor. I feel like a lot of substance got lost in the midst of all the spicy scenes. Like more of the witch and just more character development for Kira overall. I feel like Kira lost sight of what her original mission was while being completely distracted by Nathaniel. Even the part with Susie, I feel like it glazed over her and went straight to the sexy scene. It was an enjoyable read though (please read the trigger warnings).

This book was a bit of a letdown. While the spice was well written, the plot was so lackluster. The school makes so little sense and Nathaniel's presence there makes even less sense. I wanted to like it so much, but it just didn't work for me. If it had been one book and not a duology, and had more explanation, it might've worked better.

In this gripping enemies-to-lovers romance, wolf shifter Kira is forced to attend Volmasque Academy, where vampires treat shifters as pets. Determined not to submit, she finds herself irresistibly drawn to Nathaniel, the vampire prince who claims her as his own, igniting a forbidden desire between them.
The academy setting and character development are fantastic, especially for Nathaniel and Kira. Their tumultuous relationship kept me hooked, and I couldn’t put the book down. If you love dark fantasy romance, this book is a must-read. Highly recommended!
Make sure to check your trigger warnings

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read in advance.
I really really enjoyed this dark, paranormal fantasy. KIra and Nat's worlds collide in this book filled with dark themes and lots of spice. I highly enjoyed it.

Wolf shifter meets Vampire in an enemies to lovers romance. Volmasque Academy is where vampires take wolf shifters and belittle them to mere Pets. Kira is forced to the Academy against her will. She refuses to be a pet to anyone, until her places claim on her. The Vampire prince himself is drawn to this wolf for reasons he can't describe. In a forbidden lust that draws these two creatures together.
Drawn into a Fantasy world of Wolf's and Vampires I loved the Academia idea. Great story lines and character development especially on Nathaniel and Kira. Giving you just enough information to leave you wanting more. I found myself not wanting to put the books down. I loved the challenging relationship between Nathanial and Kira. If your into the Dark Fantasy Romance this is the book for you. It has everything you need to keep you reading until the end. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I have reviewed this book on: Amazon, Goodreads, and LibraryThing, Didn't find anything on Barnes and Noble for this title. The Amazon review will take a few days to be reviewed and Posted.

I have no idea what I just read, but I think I liked it?
The "plot" was great (hehe), but the rest was okay. It didn't wow me, but it also didn't suck. There were glimpses of who the characters are, but it felt like a lot of pages to STILL have a cliffhanger. I don't think I will be reading the next book right now, but I might one day!

I devoured this book. Vampire/wolf spicy novel? Sign me up!
There was enough non spicy storyline to make the book enjoyable between 'scenes'. I appreciated the list of trigger warnings and a notice that it would end on a cliffhanger!
There were a couple of times where the positions weren't possible which slowed me down a bit. I personally do not like degradation but that's just me.

Oh wow but this book was absolutely delicious, I devoured it in 1 day.
Kira is a wolf shifter hiding from the vampires of this world. However, she is discovered by humans and reported to the vampires, who come to collect her to attend Volmasque Academy, where wolf shifters are basically trained to be vampire pets. Kira, however, has no intention of being anyone's pet, but the gorgeous, broody vampire MMC Nathaniel can be very convincing...
In addition to the steamy chemistry between Kira & Nathaniel, the book's plot is gripping. There is a complicated history between the vampires, wolf shifters and witches which I was desperate to know more about.
This book has a lot of dark themes (so check the trigger warnings), but for experienced dark romance readers it's about a 3 out of 5 in terms of darkness, however, the spice is 5 out of 5.
There is a gut-wrenching cliffhanger so make sure to have book 2 close by.
I can highly recommend this book to dark fantasy romance lovers.

Darcy sure does know how to write a dark fantasy book - the story has twists and turns, and damn right dirty scenes. The cliff hanger is really brilliant and the nods to other characters from the series is great. It is a dark romance with some strong themes so make sure you are ok with them before you read it. It is an escapism book.
Thank you to Netgalley for letting me read and review.

Ooh, a bit dark and very smutty. Don't read if you don't like shame play, dubcon, or pet play. Ends on a cliffhanger and I'm definitely reading the second book of the duet! While this book is heavy on the smut, it also has strong compelling characters and a captivating plot! I really appreciated the trigger warnings and notes to set expectations at the beginning of the book!
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

This was a really good and spicy read! I really enjoyed the take on vampires, werewolves and humans. Very interested to see what else the lore has in store in the second book.
The fmc frustrated me at times, but overall I really enjoyed this story-enough so that I not only gobbled this book up in 2 days but now have the next installment on my kindle!
It ends in a cliffhanger, which left me wanting more! Whenever a book is a duology or series I need to see where the story is going and how it ends before I can give any majorly high rating. With that said, great book can’t wait to read what comes next and how the story ends for Kira and Nathaniel…
Thanks NetGalley for this ARC

I loved this book! Straight away the world-building got me. The world appeared in my head and set me up for the book. The tension was there from the beginning and throughout I kept screaming “do this!” “Don’t do that!”. I felt involved. Also the smut was HOT. I was NOT prepared for that ending however. I am going to NEED to read the second book. I would highly recommend this.

Thank you so much for the ARC.
Unfortunately, I DNF'd around 50% into the book. I wanted to put it away earlier but I hoped that there would be a bit more plot involved at some point. I caught myself wondering why there was even a school in this story as I felt like it did not add anything. It felt like the story was just smut and nothing else, which was not what I expected from this book. So it unfortunately did not appeal to me but if this does sound like your cup of tea, then go check it out :).
