It was great to revisit this group of characters. Although part of a series, there is enough information to make sense of the background, however, reading all the books does give context. The description of Christmas in winter was fascinating for me, as I live in Australia and made me want to go somewhere for a white Christmas, with all the trimmings. With a few misunderstandings and a bit of skullduggery thrown in, there is an entertaining story, with a heart warming atmosphere. So lovely to get back to Micklewick Bay , this time with Florrie and Ed again. They've spent the last 18 months building up the Happy Hartes bookshop into a place people want to visit regularly. But they're once again having to deal with Dodgy Dick trying to get them to sell! This time its Christmas, with all the festivities, memories to be made, laughter and joy. It was wonderful catching up with all the 'girls' and the happenings in their lives. Such a fun series.

This was such a cute read. It's the perfect book to curl up with over the festive season. The story was easy to follow and had a good cast of characters. I did find the pacing a little slow but once I got past these parts I enjoyed it more. Overall a good novel that I would recommend to other readers.

This is my fault again. I did not check if it was a part of a series. And of course it was, book number 4. . So I feel I cannot do the book justice without reading the series in the right order. I would like to tell though the book was very atmospheric , you could feel the christmas spirit. You could smell christmas if that makes sense. I was delighted to be approved for an ARC of Christmas at the little Bookshop by the Sea having read the previous book. What a treat to catch up with Florrie and Ed and all their friends and to find out what was happening, it really felt like catching up with old friends!
Eliza J Scott writes with such fantastic description that I could actually imagine everything she described, from the decorations in the shop to the sleigh ride and even her glasses fogging up ( which mine do when it’s cold)
A really lovely, easy, comforting read that made me wish its Christmas already!

The book was an interesting read but it was something different from what I expected. It was slow in certain parts but picked up in others. There was some growth to the characters. This book was very well written. I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I thought I would. It was lacking something more for me.
