Kristen Bailey is the queen of hilarious banter and is one of my favorite romcom authors. I absolutely loved this! Funny + sweet + very little spice + some Christmas-y business = perfect!

One gripe: The "Fake dating just got real" cover tagline is incorrect and misleading. Maggie (very unconvincingly) fake-dates her coworker/friend Frank for one wedding and is pretty much immediately busted. She doesn't fake date Jasper (gay, in a serious relationship), or Leo (the love interest). People (me) feel strongly about their preferred tropes, and I think a fake dating trope should only be called out if the love interests are the fake daters who then turn into real daters. /gripe

We Three Kings is a funny workplace romcom that had me laughing throughout. While reading, it gave me vibes similar to the movie Four Christmases.

Maggie, who had planned to spend the holidays alone, ends up getting “adopted” by her three work colleagues—Jasper, Leo, and Frank. Determined not to let her spend Christmas by herself, they invite her along to join their holiday festivities.

However, just before leaving, Maggie gets some unexpected news from HR: she has to let someone from her team go. Faced with the challenge of spending the next week with her best friends who are her work colleagues, she’s unsure how to break the news.

Despite the difficult situation, Maggie makes the most of her holiday. We Three Kings had me chuckling from start to finish. It’s funny, witty, and even has a sprinkle of romance.

This was my first read by Kristen Bailey and it will definitely not be my last! I addore her writing.

This book had everything you could want from a cozy christmas story! It was cute, twists, friendships, family dynamics, humor and obviously some romance! It definitely got me into a Christmas spirit (even though i am a bit early since its only September haha)

The dialog and plot were structured nicely and it was easy to follow which I liked a lot.

Bailey, I completely adore your books. This was no exception. It made me chuckle and I loved every one of the characters. There was so much joy and love in it, and although I figured out which choice Maggie would make, it didn’t matter. Maggie was just lovely, doing everything for those around her, and getting so much back in return. Reading this made me believe in the power of kindness, and in hugs! There isn’t anything negative to say about this story, I just want to read it again.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

3.5 stars. This was an ARC from NetGalley. This was a cute quick holiday romance. Overall, it stayed fairly traditional to the typical romance plotlines and the ending was predictable, but I enjoyed it none the less. The story moved alone quickly and the characters were quirky and enjoyable. They felt like real people. I haven't read this author before, but I would explore their catalog when I am needing a light easy read. #netgalley #holidayromance #workfamily #ITnerds #wethreekings

This was cute. The plot was a very original concept, which is rare in books these days! I loved getting to know each guy’s family and get that behind-the-scenes look at where they came from and what makes them tick. Maggie was very likable. The first half could have been paced a bit better, but overall this was an enjoyable read.

Reading this book, I realized why I typically don't like holiday romances. I find them often to be forced - the focus is on the holiday aspect, with minimal development of the storyline. I'm happy to report that is NOT the case with this book. The author wrote a well developed story of a woman who manages a team of IT specialists, and the friendship they have built (plus a romance!), the tough decision she faces, and the holiday is woven into the story as they all invite her to spend part of her holiday with them (rather than being alone while her parents travel!). This was a fun and enjoyable read full of likeable characters and a sweet romance. Yes, read this during the holiday season if you want, but know this book stands up with a solid storyline any time of the year!

I loved this book, but then I have loved all of Kristen's books!
A funny love story blended with friendship and Christmas, what more could you ask for.
There is laugh out loud moments along with awww moments. I devoured this book in 1 night.
This is the perfect read for over the christmas holidays.
Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the chance to read this one in exchange for my honest review.

Awwww I wish I could give this book a great big hug and all the amazing fictional characters in it!

So cute. So cozy And perfect if you’re needing some Christmas vibes! Heck, I need Christmas vibes year round! The thing I really loved is that Kristen Bailey actuallyactually wrote Christmas into this story so well! It’s so hard to pick up and read a Christmas book that actually gives you Christmas vibes.

Her friends/co-workers who have basically become her family over the years each invite her to spend Christmas with their families…as friends, of course ;). Can one of these friends possibly become more? The adventures she goes on thanks to them are so fun and funny and just heart warming.

If you need the Christmas vibes now and want zero spice (only a few off-the-page mentions), then cozy up with this one!

I read one new Christmas rom-com a season and WE THREE KINGS was this year’s pick (albeit a bit early). This was my first Kristen Bailey book and I liked it enough. The characters were fun and the romance was cute. The story dragged a bit, but I’m a tough critic for holiday romance.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC.

What an hilarious and fantastic festive read. Maggie runs a small IT and is tasked with making one redundant. The problem? She’s great friends with all three of them. There are some fabulous moments as she spends time with all of them over Christmas after her parents go away for Christmas. This is a great Rom com but the real winner is the warm funny friendships between the four. A must read!

A real holiday treat! We Three Kings was such a fun read, filled with humor and heart. We follow Maggie, head of the IT department at Wisemans who works with three fairly different but all slightly nerdy guys. When her parents decide to go on a cruise over Christmas, instead of being home alone for the holidays, she divides her time between the three guys, Frank, Jasper and Leo. Oh and we can’t forget that she is informed right before the holidays that she has to let one of them go due to cutbacks in the office.

So many funny moments ensue when she ends up fake dating Frank at his sister’s wedding. Saves baby foxes from a hunt with Jasper at his family estate and breaks into a barn to get a selfie with a goat with Leo. This book had me laughing and smiling the whole time. A light fun read guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit. All while giving us a great example of lasting friendships and a sweet love story.

The title and cover art led me to believe it was going to be a RH or the main character having to choose between three men, but that is not the case. It's also a PG/PG13 story, there is nothing inappropriate, just a cute love story.

The story follows Maggie as she spends her christmas holidays going to events with her three male friends/coworkers, only one of which is a love interest, while she also has to choose who to let go from her department.
Maggie and her friends are all kind and supportive, there's no drama, and it's a wonderfully cozy light hearted read perfect for the holidays. It felt like Christmas time already, snuggling in on the couch to watch Hallmark movies with a cup of hot chocolate, in book form.
Simple, straightforward, well written, and perfect for anyone who wants a break.

Frank's family had Crazy Rich Asians 2.0, and were just as funny to read about. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the character was autistic. I hope we can have a story about him and Norah! They seemed so cute together.

Jasper is who Farleigh from Saltburn could've been if he was a good guy, and I loved how sweet he was with his partner and mum.

Despite Leo being the main love interest, and obviously being a good guy, I felt like we didn't really get a good look into who he was. And some of the characterization of who he was wasn't always consistent. He seemed very shy, but then also very confident and adventurous over the phone? Idk maybe I just read into it too much.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas romcom. Maggie leads a small IT team of 3 men who have all become close work friends. When her parents go on a cruise for Christmas, the guys decide to bring Maggie to their family events so she isn’t alone. At each event, Maggie learns much more about her work friends and found family. She also starts leaning into her crush on one of the guys. The problem? She finds out right before Christmas that she has to lay off a team member. This story had it all. Funny situations, touching moments, and romance. This is closed door but when plenty of tension. Highly recommend!

Boo Basket season is upon us, yet I decided skip the orange glow of the pumpkins and jump directly into the red and green of the Christmas ho-ho-holidays (this is the best joke I could come up with, I strongly apologise for the cringe). Thank you NetGalley and Storm for this EARC of We Three Kings by Kristen Bailey. If you’re in the mood for a Christmas feel-good romance, this one’s for you!

The settings are picture-perfect: London on Christmas, and a cute cottage in the Lakes District. Nothing sets the festive mood better than a good blanket of snow in the countryside. The characters are quirky, lovable IT nerds. My only complain is that I would have liked for Maggie to spend a bit more than just a couple of days with each of them. It felt like the endings of each of their parts was a bit rushed.

We Three Kings is a funny, cute and cosy rom-com, meant to be read by the fire with a hot chocolate and never-ending servings of mince pies. It’s a story about friendship beyond work outings, and about love sneaking up on you at the worst possible time. But, most importantly, it’s a story about three little foxes, Duncan the Donkey, and Jan’s windswept trip to New York, innit?

Another brilliant festive comedy from Kristen Bailey. I absolutely loved Five Gold Rings last year and We Three Kings did not disappoint!
The characters are so loveable, I adored the cute storyline and it's just such a funny, easy read book.

What a fun read!

The characters: Maggie, Leo, Frank and Jasper were all really likeable. The story is based around the four of them, they work in IT in the basement for a firm. It’s clear that they are such great friends and I loved that the story was based around their friendship.

The story was great, there were plenty of mishaps and so many funny moments that I was literally laughing out loud at parts.

The book flowed so well, and I couldn’t put it down as I just needed to know what happened next! I loved the ending, this is the perfect Rom-com.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for an advanced egalley copy to read and review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Fake dating? Count me in, though it was taken in a completely different path than I expected, but I'm not mad about it! I adore the entire plot. I do wish there was more of a build up, it was almost immediately when Maggie started crushing on one of the guys (that she's known already for years), then we aren't reminded of them two for a while, and all of the sudden they're getting heavy, there was practically zero interaction that we saw between them, and then they are a couple. Make us wait a little bit please.
I love how everyone has their own personality and they are all showcased really well, with the exception of Leo, he is a bit boring and doesn't have much substance added to him, we do learn a tad more about him when it's his turn for Maggie to spend Christmas time with Leo, but I was starting to fall asleep during that time honestly.
I enjoyed the ending, everything wrapped up really nicely.

Simply brilliant! I loved this friends to lovers holiday romcom. What a great way to start my holiday-themed reading. The characters are delightful, and their families and the hijinks they get up to over the holiday season are hilarious. A nice sweet read to get you in the mood for the holidays!
