Thanks to netgalley and publisher for this arc! Wow I expected like some of the recipes but I honestly liked almost every single one which is very rare for me as I'm a pickier eater and with super taste it's hard for me to eat a lot of things but I have more than half of this cookbook now to try out!! Yum yum yum also the pictures were very pretty and added a lot to this cookbook.
The Christmas Baking Cookbook is an absolute delight for anyone who loves Christmas and baking! This collection offers recipes that are easy to follow and use regular, accessible ingredients—perfect for both seasoned bakers and beginners. The instructions are clear, with each step broken down to make even more advanced recipes approachable.
One of my favorite parts is the focus on baking everything from scratch, like icing or pie crusts, with dedicated recipes within the book. I especially enjoyed the variety of international treats. I’m from Germany so I was thrilled to see Lebkuchen, Pfeffernüsse, and Stollen included! This cookbook is a fantastic way to explore festive traditions from around the world.
The photos are beautiful and inspiring (my favorite was the snowman cookies!) Each one makes you want to get baking immediately, and the whole book is visually appealing and well-organized. There’s even a conversion table at the end, which is incredibly useful for those who work with different measurement units.
Overall, The Christmas Baking Cookbook has everything you could need for holiday baking. It's filled with delicious, inspiring, and festive recipes that will bring the Christmas spirit to your kitchen. Highly recommend for anyone looking to expand their seasonal baking repertoire!
Every holiday season, I look forward to the sweet treats everyone makes. Sometimes things can get repetitive and I’m always looking for something new. This book has so many wonderful recipes! I love there are a selection of gluten free options which can be hard to come by. Some of the recipes I have never heard of before but sound delicious.
I really enjoyed how ma y pictures there were of the final product. Some cookbooks have only a couple of pictures throughout the book. As a visual learner, seeing how the recipes are supposed to look like at the end is so helpful.
This Christmas Baking Cookbook offers a well-edited selection of recipes with clear, easy-to-follow instructions that make holiday baking approachable. However, the digital version occasionally lacks images aligned with the recipes, which detracts a bit from the visual appeal, especially for a holiday-themed book.
The collection includes some classic Christmas treats, but a few recipes, like macarons and brownies, don’t fit the holiday theme, while items like challah and babka feel out of place in a Christmas cookbook since they’re traditionally Jewish. For a book with such a focused theme, it would be great if the content reflected that more closely.
Overall, it’s a good cookbook, but it could benefit from more consistent holiday-specific choices.
What a fantastic cookbook! There are so many different kinds of recipes, I'm excited to make some of these closer to the holidays. I really enjoyed how, although not many, they did have gluten free options!
This book has a little bit of everything for Christmas & Holiday desserts!!
I will be trying some of these cookies for my work cookie exchange
Most Christmas baking books seem to be just cookies and Yule logs so I have finally found a book with some great different ideas for bakes over Christmas which is perfect.
Thank you to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a solidly good Holiday Baking cookbook if you want a ton of recipes all in one place.
There are a huge variety of tasty goodies to bake, and the photos for each one are beautiful. The recipes are all simple, and mostly use simple and easy to find ingredients.
This would be a great books for beginners, but I feel that a more experienced baker would find this a little too simple. I do think this would be a great one to use for experimenting, with it having so many good base recipes.
Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
With some fun, simple to bake recipes, this book is for everyone who wants to up their baking game this Christmas.
Just looking at the Cover of this Baking Cookbook makes me Hungry. There are so many Recipes and Each has a Beautiful Full Size Picture. I always want my cookbooks to show a picture and this one comes through perfectly. There are also so many sections of Recipes to make. Cookies, Cakes, Cupcakes, Pies, Tarts, Breads and Custards. It definitely gets you in the Mood for the Holidays although many of the Recipes can be made year round, All The Better. I gave this book 5 Stars because I love the e-book, but also saw on the 1st Page that you can send Postage and the Company will send you the Actual Hardback Book. This is Exciting! Usually, a problem I have is getting the Cookbook, loving it, and then it Expires after 56 Days, leaving me without the lovely book. Now, I am sending in for this Baking Book and can start making the Recipes and then keep making more Forever. That is the Best Part for Sure!
Thank You NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for sending me a copy of this Beautiful Baking Book. I always leave reviews for books I read.
Great cookbook. There is a good variety of recipes with something for everyone. The recipes are easy to follow my 13 year old son has even attempted one (was lovely). Good photos that are very appealing and appetising. I would definitely recommend this to anyone regardless of your cooking abilities. It will make your Christmas. 🎄

An elegant collection of tasty holiday recipes, including cookies, cakes, breads, pastries, pies and more! There is a picture of every recipe, which I absolutely love! In the back there is an extensive index, making finding the perfect recipe for what you are craving very easy to find. If you buy the digital version of this cookbook, clicking on the item in the index will jump your right to the page with your recipe. I have marked several recipes that I am eager to try.
This cookbook would make a lovely gift for the holiday baker on your gift list, or even as a host/hostess gift for a holiday gathering.
Thank you NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I loved that there were so many traditional recipes for me to try. The pictures made everything look so yummy! My only issue is the cookbook didn't feel very personal. I would have enjoyed some background information on the recipes or some personal stories.
I totally enjoyed reading through all the recipes. A great mix of some oldies and new(er) to me recipes. Clear concise baking ingredients and instructions, lovely colour pictures. Altogether both a feast for the eyes and hopefully some new treats for the Christmas table. I have earmarked a number of th3 recipes that I will try out over the next few weeks. The recipes are organised into sections, cookies, cakes, breads and breakfast treats, pastries, pies and tarts, custards and other decadent treats. Finished off with an appendix of useful recipes for some components parts, I.e. royal icing etc. A great cookbook that will become part of my Christmas baking traditions.
The photography in this cookbook is beautiful, appetizing, festive and makes me want to start baking holiday treats immediately. I love the wide variety of recipes and flavors, and the inclusion of desserts across different cultures. There truly is something for everyone inside of these pages...vanilla match Christmas tree cookies and apricot kolaches? Yes please!
The only criticisms I have, are that I prefer dry ingredients be listed in grams as opposed to ounces. I feel that it's overall more universal but also much more precise.
There's also no background or information pieces in the cookbook. Many times recipe books tell a story, give information, tips, etc. However I won't count off stars for that because I want a cookbook for the recipes and not necessarily the stories.
I will definitely be trying out many of the recipes very soon for my family. Holiday baking is my absolute favorite and this would be a great coffee table book to have out or a gift for your baker friends this Christmas. Thank you to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Competent but meh. This book is the kind of book you might find on a supermarket shelf decades ago. Absolutely full of appealing recipes for all kinds of holiday cookies and breads presented without any character at all. Give it to your niece in college the first year she moves out of the dorm.
Overall, the book was well written, captured my attention and I did really enjoy it. Thank you for this advance copy!
This is a lovely festive holiday cook book. Good choice of recipes with some classics thrown in. The instructions are easy to follow and I haveade a list of the ones I want to try in December already. Would highly recommend this cook book. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for this arc.
A truly beautiful book gat I downloaded in time to try out a few bakes before Christnas. Fabulous photos and the layout in the Netgalley app is great for reading and referring to recipes.
If the recipes result in my bakes looking as good as the photos it would be worth buying a hardback version of this book for my cookbook library!
