Kate witnesses an accident that takes place right in front of her house.
The neighbours rush out of their houses to try and assist, and the scene is teeming with police and ambulance workers.
The next morning, there is no sign at all that there was an accident, and the neighbours deny that anything took place.
Kate is convinced that there is a cover up.
Wow, this is some book! The plot got me thinking that revenge is sweet, but not on this scale!
The consequences of revenge are deadly.
I was glued to this book, I had to see exactly what was the point of the revenge taken against "Kate".
What a fabulous tale of obsession, secrets, and revenge!
Thanks to Netgalley and Inkubator Books for the opportunity to read this book.

Kate feels like she is going crazy. All her neighbours came out of their homes on the night that the crash happened. Her neighbours fence was definitely damaged. Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident. She saw all of this with her own eyes. So, the next day, why did none of her neighbours remember anything about the crash, and why was there no damage to the fence. Was Kate just remembering a nightmare she had, how could it have been real if she was the only person to recall it.
Strange events seem to be happening to Kate, an intruder enters her home in the middle of the night, a stranger follows her around, people appear to be keeping secrets from her, and she cannot work out why.
The plot of this book kept me engrossed with its many twists and turns, and I felt almost as if I was living Kates life with her through the confusion and uncertainty she felt. I really enjoyed it right to the last page, and the ending was one that I would never have guessed. Highly recommended.

Wow! This one was different and I really enjoyed it. A dystopian psychological thriller that is hard to put down. Told from many perspectives this story is multi layered and has a really compelling storyline. One of this year's five star reads for sure.

Kate has witnesds a car accident, she saw it. The neighbours saw it and even the Emergency crew arrived to help..so why is kate the only one who says she saw it?
Weirdly no one wants to get involved so Kate starts her own investigation even though she feels like she is going mad.
I loved Kate, Jimmy, Hailey, and Helen. This is also their story so what they have to offer is important to the plot. It brings the story together in the most intriguing way and I was interested in how the tale would end.
This book is well developed and I really enjoyed it.

Thank you NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the eARC.
Unfortunately, I could not get into this book. It started with Kate, who wakes up hungover and scared by the noise of a car wreck. All the neighbors are out watching, but nobody admits to there being any accident, even her husband. She fears she's going mad.
I tried to struggle on with the story, but had a hard time following it and finally gave up. Sorry!

Oh my GOSH! I read this book in less than 5 hours!
Fascinating and scary would maybe be the two words I’d stamp on it. Fascinating because it’s about all the kids today who crave the attention and perks of being an “influencer.”
I’ve never gotten caught up with any of these people, and I’m so happy to say that I just don’t care about what they talk about. Thank goodness for being of a certain age.
I mentioned that “Fool Me Once” is scary, but I’m not going to say why! To find out, go get yourself the book, and see how long it takes you to finish it.
You’re welcome.

A great read even though at the start I found it a bit slow but in the end it picked up. The plot had many twists and turns that keeps you guessing till the very end.

More of a drama than a thriller.
Sorry i really struggled to get into this and ended up skimming through.
Sadly not for me.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

Fool Me Once tells the story of Kate who seems to have a normal life until she witneses a car accident one night. Even though the emergency services come to help the victims and the neighbours also see it, everyone pretends it never happened the day after. Kate stats to think something must be happening to her, that she is losing her mind, but then she sees something that makes her start her own investigation...
First things first, I loved this book and it was well-written. There's good character development and the ending makes sense.
The novel is written in five different parts, each from a different POV of Kate, Jimmy, Hailey, and Helen. The final part is the conclusion of all POVs and how they intertwine, with an additional POV. The big reveal (or hints of it) happens at the end of Part I and the novel revolves around discovering the ins and outs of it. There's an additional mystery around the different POVs and why they happen in that order. I think that's as much as I can say without spoiling it for everyone.
In my opinion, this is not a Mystery & Thriller in the strict sense of the word, or the 'domestic thriller' genre that is so prevalent these days. As someone who read a lot of sci-fi / distopyan / etc novels growing up, I could tell where the book was going straight away, but again, I like that genre so it's all good with me.

This suspenseful novel follows Kate, who witnesses a car crash into a neighbor’s fence—only to be told it never happened, and the fence is unscathed. As Kate questions her reality, the story delivers a unique twist on a psychological thriller. Her first-person chapters are gripping, but the book falters later, with too much profanity and a loss of momentum. While intriguing and original, it may not satisfy all readers. Still, it’s worth exploring for its strong start and mysterious premise.

Kate thought she knew her neighbors. But they’ve been keeping secrets… Well this book was definitely very different?! It was a bit weird once I knew what was going on! But it was an interesting read! It had suspense, intriguing, mysterious, murder, very focused on social networking! I would recommend reading this book, but it’s definitely a bit different! Thank you NetGalley, the author and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
