If you’re in the mood for a cozy, heartwarming Christmas rom-com sprinkled with Irish charm, this book is your festive ticket! It’s got all the feels of a classic small-town story, where the whole village knows everyone’s name and pitches in to help—it’s the kind of community spirit that makes your heart swell. Cassie, the big-hearted heroine, is everything you want in a Christmas novel lead, while her two love interests—British, royal-blooded Charles and charming Irish flirt Ryan—are pure swoon material. Despite the open love triangle, the vibe stays low on angst and high on feel-good moments. This story is a joy to read as they navigate love, life, and the holiday magic. Perfect for a cozy night by the fire!

Christmas in book from. I loved reading this. Cassie is heartbroken and looking for change so she books herself a Christmas getaway to try to get back to her Irish roots. By chance she ends up in a village in England known as Little Ireland and has the pick of two very attractive men. Which she follow Nanna Nora's advice and trust her heart?

This is a great Christmas read with everything you could ask for in a book. I adored all the Characters and the little side plots. A really great Christmas story.

Okay full disclosure, I went into this book expecting the typical cookie cutter Christmas romance. I was so pleasantly surprised! Debbie Johnson delivered such a beautiful story of heritage, healing, and friendship. While it is categorized as a Romance, the romantic relationships are not the focus of the book.
The characters of A Very Irish Christmas are so easy to fall in love with and are all in healing journeys of their own. The lush descriptions of Ireland and England make me want to explore my own Irish heritage. I would highly recommend you add this book to your holiday reading list! This is the PERFECT book to curl up with on a snowy day with a fire and some cocoa.

Is this a cute, cozy Christmas romance novel? Yes, absolutely and the charming settings in England & Ireland adds to the warmth and coziness.
But it is so much more than that! It feels like a reflection on different type of grief, on life, on what makes a family. It is a book full of various type of love shown in different ways. It’s actually what I loved most about it. How it gracefully balances heartwarming moments with deeper, emotional truths. It’s not just a feel-good holiday read; it’s a celebration of the many ways we come together.
Even though I really enjoyed it, I struggled a bit in the beginning. I am very happy that I kept going, I would definitely read Debbie Johnson’s previous and next works!

This was a fab read, funny, sweet & unpredictable I loved the characters, the charm and the subtle Christmas vibes.
An eye-catching cover design pulls you in, and the "American in England" theme was very fitting with The Holiday which is one of my favourite films.
Perfect for cosying up with.

Reading A Very Irish Christmas felt like sitting with a cozy, delicious mug of hot chocolate during the holiday season, with snow falling outside—or at least, what I imagine that would feel like, since I live in a country where it’s 40 degrees Celsius in December! This book is the very definition of comforting, cozy, and heartwarming.

I loved how it felt like I was discovering the village and taking the leap with Cassie. Every new character felt like someone I was meeting myself. Honestly, who hasn’t dreamed of visiting a picturesque village in Ireland, England, or Scotland and finding a place that feels like home? Just me? Well, this book made me feel like I kind of did, and it was an amazing experience.

The characters were great, and even though I didn’t agree with Cassie’s final choice, the story left me feeling warm and ready for Christmas. I do wish there had been a bit more romance, though. I mean, it was there, but I just expected more. In all fairness, this story was more about Cassie’s journey to finding herself than the romance, so I can’t be too hard on it.

As someone who’s lost both of my grandmas, who were such important and loving figures in my life, I really appreciated how the author used Nora’s passing—Cassie’s grandma—to gently guide her growth. It didn’t feel forced or heavy—it was natural, like Nora’s memory was always there, quietly helping Cassie find her way.

If, like me, you love re-watching cozy, heartwarming movies during the holiday season, this book is definitely for you.

3.5 ⭐️

Super easy and cute Christmas read. I really adore that it was set in England and Ireland. It just makes everything feels so much more charming and cozy. The characters are warm and lovable with flaws of their own adding some complexity to this rom-com. This was also a closed door romance which I love with only one very briefly described make out session. I only have two minor complaints with this book. One is the use of exclamation points (just a few too many for my preference). Two is that some of the dialogue could be better developed. Some dialogues felt very written— they didn’t feel natural if you were to take it and speak it aloud.

Cassie O'Hara is wallowing in sorrow, watching her wedding video and feeling sad. Her best friend, June persuades her to go on a trip of a lifetime to put all her misery behind and let adventure bring her self-confidence back to life. Cassie finds the perfect cottage in the Cotswolds which she books for a month and then leaves all her woes behind her. After a bumpy start, Cassie starts to make an impression on the village and really thinks things are going to be ok. I really enjoyed reading this book, it could have been twee but Debbie Johnson got it just right. Highly recommended.

What to expect:
🎄Love Triangle
🎄Self Discovery Journey
🎄Hallmark Movie Vibes
🎄Clean and Wholesome

This was the cutest, most wholesome little holiday read! It was essentially a cozy Hallmark Christmas movie as a book. I loved all the Irish cultural details. The FMC was endearing and it was so heartwarming to see her regain her confidence. All of the side characters in the village were so fun. The two MMC’s were fairytale material!

This was better than a Hallmark Christmas movie!

Set in a nearly all-Irish town in the English Countryside with characters you'll fall in love with and a story that leaves you with hope!

After a rough year, Cassie uses the money her Irish grandmother left her to plan a holiday trip. There was an error with the booking accommodations; the place she reserved is renovating. Cassie is invited to stay at the large manor home until the renovations are complete.

Cassie is invited into the small town like a long-lost family member. Naturally, she starts helping out the people in the community. From assisting with a busy day at the bakery to helping with renovations, and sharing a business plan for the struggling manor. While she loses herself in serving the community's people, she finds herself along the way.

Cassie has an opportunity to go to Ireland during the holidays and meet with a distant relative to get more information about her grandmother.

The story has a love triangle which is normally not a trope I love, but this one was written well and it just worked in the story. I liked both male characters in the story so it made it easy to leave it open for my preference of who she should end up being with.

There's a 17 year old girl and a stray dog that I adore!

I only wish I could visit this small town this holiday season!

Romance Content: Closed-door - just kissing!

Thank you Debbie Johnson, Netgalley, and Storm Publishing for my #gifted ARC.
