Jess Addams is a single mother living with her teenage daughter Izzie in happiness in Hampshire.

Then Izzie meets Dylan. Dylan changes her and,after her A Levels,persuades Izzie to go travelling in Portugal.

Jess' worst nightmare occurs when Izzie goes missing and Jess must travel to Portugal to find her.

I really felt for born Jess and Kay in this book.
It’s also really timely as I’m the parent of a nineteen year old daughter and you do feel conflicting feelings snd emotions when the little girl you’ve raised is now a young woman.
Overall I found Jess a bit over bearing and she made me feel claustrophobic. But then I don’t know how Kay felt other than terror when her son was missing and asking near impossible things of her.
