Love all books written by Dilly Court, she had a wonderful way of telling a tale! That being said this book started out really well with lots of interesting characters and storyline, initially, was also good. Towards the last 30% the story began to be a little far fetched and felt very rushed towards the end. This is only my opinion and does not detract from the overall enjoyment and look forward to her next book
Many thanx to NetGalley, the author and the publishers for allowing me the chance to read and review this book

Yet another great story by this fantastic author Dilly Court, this book is part of a series but can also be read as a stand alone story which makes it good for anyone to read it.

Poppy works with her mum and dad at Rainbows End, which is their home and restaurant, Poppy enjoys her life but does like the idea of finding something else to do, but she doesn’t know what or where?

After a day out with her friends Adam, Lottie & Gideon, they help a mysterious girl whose story doesn’t seem quite true. When she disappears without even a thank you the mystery deepens especially when she keeps appearing when they go out??

Who is this mysterious woman and what does she want?

Great story with a story that keeps you hooked from start to finish.

When Poppy Robbins is travelling through town she is appalled by poverty people are suffering, especially children. This is brought to the fore when Poppy comes across a young lad (Davy) who she can’t get out her mind. This decides Poppy that she’d like to do something for the children. Back at her parents restaurant “Rainbow’s End” Mattie Briggs who works in the kitchen assisting her uncle Amos (who can be difficult) points Poppy in the direction of Eddie Taverner who is a slippy character and could cause problems for her! Meanwhile Poppy and Lottie & Adam Ashton appear to be stalked by a young woman Miranda Flyte, for reasons unknown!
When a blackmailer threatens Poppy she decides to take matters into her own hands, will this prove disastrous?

I think this is Dilly’s most exciting book yet! It had me on the edge of my seat, especially when Domesday House was introduced, thought the title (The Whiddon) was inspirational, made her sound evil. Loved the reference to Hansel and Gretel. All round a great read. Recommend it.
Should be able to give more than ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
