This is book 5 in the series and would recommend reading the other books first to get the back story of what has happened previously.
Have loved the series and this instalment was a fitting conclusion and ending to it. How does the saying go all good things must come to an end and this was an incredible ending to the series.
This book focuses on the story of Daisy a newcomer to tuppenny bridge and one of the long standing residents Noah. It was also good to catch up with the other characters and their lives and for this instalment to tie up all of the loose ends and questions from the previous books.
The author has also brought the topic of domestic violence out into the open which is something that is not often talked about and is kept behind closed doors. This is done with sensitivity and highlights the importance of raising awareness about this topic.
This emotional finale to the Tuppenny Bridge series, is a powerful and moving conclusion that ties up various storylines from earlier books. Central to this story is the resolution of a plot involving a young man’s tragic death, with new revelations that bring shocking discoveries, particularly about relationship abuse. The novel explores deeper themes of emotional and physical abuse and its lasting impact.
The story alternates between the perspectives of two characters: Daisy Jackson, a newcomer who runs The Crafty Cook Café, and Noah Lavender, the local headmaster trapped in an unhappy marriage. Daisy, a kind and nurturing figure who has experienced her own traumas, forms a deep connection with Noah. Their friendship becomes a source of strength, especially as Noah’s secrets begin to surface, revealing the complexity of his personal struggles. Despite the emotional weight of these subjects, there are also moments of joy and romance, with Daisy’s café serving as a symbol of warmth and healing.
The novel skillfully addresses the darker aspects of relationships, while also providing a satisfying and hopeful conclusion. Fans of the series will appreciate revisiting familiar characters and seeing unresolved questions finally answered. The themes of personal growth, friendship, and healing are key to this heartwarming, yet thoughtful ending.
A well written story with plenty of warmth, humour and romance balanced with hidden conflicts, long kept secrets and strong emotions. I was quickly drawn into the story and loved the bustle of Tuppenny Bridge and the contrasting peace of the Yorkshire moors and coast. The storyline is engaging with hints of actions from the past causing conflict and divided loyalties. This book was hard to put down and I look forward to reading more in the series.
Now I need to read the full Tuppenny Bridge series! I'm not sure I had many dry eyes during this book - but that's ok! Each word tugs at your heartstrings in a different, but compelling way. Heartache, grief, joy, awe, love and laughter, and everything in between. Sharon Booth really captured what it means to be a human just trying to make it through life, one day at a time. Set in a gorgeous location of course. I felt I was walking along the meadows with Daisy, and didn't want to put the book down. Make sure to carve out time for this, because it will pull you in fast!
I thought this was another good book in this series.
It has some heartbreaking moments that deals with very real life issues. The characters are real and the romance is nice too.
I’ve not read all the books in this series but the ones I have, have all been hood
'Hope Blooms in Tuppenny Bridge' is magic. It is so engrossing I could barely put it down to sleep. This is the second book I have read by Sharon Booth and I could tell I need to read more to get even further background on the characters and backstories of Tuppenny Bridge villagers. The story is tender, and difficult and I shed many tears. I can't recommend it highly enough and would give it 10 stars if I could.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
I read Coming Home to Tuppenny Bridge and Hope Blooms in Tuppenny Bridge. It was lovely reading experience and I thoroughly enjoyed the lovely setting, the heartwarming plots and was happy to catch up with the fleshed out characters
I love the gorgeous cover!
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
Daisy has just arrived in Tuppenny Bridge to open a bakery cafe, the cakes will make you hungry. Noah is married to Isobel but the marriage is not a happy one.
This has a trigger issue, but it end very well and happy. It’s an easy romantic read that will have you turning the pages. I really enjoyed reading about Daisy, she’s a happy character that will leave a smile on your face. A great 5 star read. I haven’t read the others , but will be.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.
Good to be back with characters you know but what a difficult subject it covered. I loved Daisy’s baking and the cafe. It was hard to read at times. Gosh people are cunning .It will make you think. The walks sounded lovely and the wild flowers . Read.it .
Daisy moves to Tuppenny Bridge, she loves it . she meets someone from her past, will it have a happy ending? lovely story
Book 5 in the Tuppenny Bridge Series.
Daisy has quickly been accepted as one of Tuppenny Bridges own after starting her bakery cafe - and she's become a bit famous for some of her cakes! Though she's always greeting her neighbors and customers with a quick smile and warmth, she's quite lonely and wishes for someone to share her world.
Meeting up on a hike by pure chance, daisy and the local headmaster, Noah Lavender spend the day hiking and chatting. And there seems to be some other undercurrent. But Noah is married, and Daisy isn't that kind of girl. Even so, Daisy senses Noah is lonely and needs a friend. And it turns out he's got a doozy of a secret!
How can she help him without causing problems - because we all know the chatter that happens in small close-knit towns.
Thanks to NetGalley, Storm Publishing and Sharon Booth for the eARC.
I love this series and am always glad to go back and read about all the happenings there. The characters are all so lovely and it seems such a lovely place to live. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
This is the last book of the Tuppenny Bridge series and nicely wraps up all the loose ends around Leon Callaghan. This is the story of Noah Lavender and his wife Isabel. There were hints of their story in other books and the series ends with a bang.
The writing was so compelling. The subject matter was awful but you have to keep reading to find out everyone is ok. The story is sensitively done and obviously well-researched.
This can be read as a stand alone but it would be nice to have the background on the other characters. Daisy is a character from another series of Sharon Booth books that I haven't read, but isn't necessary for this story.
I'd quite like the white chocolate and caramel cake recipe though!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced ebook copy in exchange for an honest review.
Tuppenny Bridge is a lovely old village where all the couch has bring their history and past and try and live their lies in the best way. This book follows Noah and Daisy and their growing friendship from sharing cake and walking in the dales to considering a future together. The book takes a sensitive look at abuse in a marriage and how this is viewed both inside and outside. The guilt of those that knew and the pain that this causes all of those close to the couple is explored gently and with care. There is a strand of romance woven through the book although it is the minutiae of daily life that makes this such a good read.
Another wonderful visit to Tuppenny Bridge. A totally engrossing story so much so I read it in a day! A heartwarming story but I shed some tears along the way.
Another lovely book in the series. It does touch on the subject of abuse so be aware of this, but it is handled in a sensitive way. Great characters as always and a story that will have you gripped.
Book five and the conclusion book.in the series.
Tuppenny Bridge Yorkshire Dales, proud cafe owner Daisy Jackson runs the crafty cook cafe it's her pride and joy. This is a lovely book that will throw all emotions all over the place, because Daisy cannot forget the past.
Can she shine through and have a happy ending?
A beautiful read loved it.
I don’t think there is enough words to express how unexpected and page turner this book is. So far, all the books I’ve read in the Tuppenny Bridge series have been amazing. Only criticism is the missing bonus epilogues, I just didn’t want it to end.
Hope Blooms in Tuppenny Bridge is the story of Daisy, the newcomer and owner of The Crafty Cook Café. She is reserved, positive and a sweet outdoorsy girl with a difficult past she can’t wait to forget.
Noah is the reserved, serious headmaster of the primary school. He is married to Isobel, who everyone tries to avoid for being a bully and hurtful person. Nobody understands how these two people have been married for so long. Apparently, Daisy is not the only one with a secret of her own.
This story makes you realize that there are victims everywhere and sometimes you don’t even suspect who the villain is until is almost too late. I guess you only see what you know right? It’s good to read stories that alert us otherwise.
I can’t wait to complete the series.
This is one of the ARC I’m most grateful to be able to provide with an honest and voluntary review. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher.
Hope Blooms in Tuppenny Bridge by Sharon Booth
An enjoyable continuation of the story . I couldn't stop reading the ups and inevitable downs of Daisys life.
Wonderfully written and a great read.
Having read all the other Tuppeney Bridge books I was delighted to receive an arc of Hope Blooms in Tuppeney Bridge.
The focus was on Daisy and Noah and their blossoming friendship despite him being married.
The reasons soon become clear as to why he isn’t happy in his marriage and there is vivid descriptions of domestic violence. Such an important topic to raise and it is done in a very sensitive but honest way.
I’m sad that the Tuppeney Bridge saga has ended but the characters stories have all been tied up neatly and I look forward to more books from the same author.
