I had a fairly difficult time getting in to this book. There are some pretty serious triggers involved in the book, however, there is a warning inside the book about this content. I hope there will be on the website when purchasing as well to avoid confusion in subject matter. The topics are quite heavy to put within a book, so it personally wasn't my favorite book just due to this. I will acknowledge that this isn't my typical type of book that I like to read so I was branching out with this one.

Despite not caring for the subject matter or the genre personally, it was very well written, though it did not contain the twists and turns and surprises that I would generally require from a 5 star book.

I had a very difficult time getting in to this book. The book contains issues of child abuse, suicide, sexual violence and death. This was very heavy topic matter for me to read. I did appreciate that there was a warning given at the beginning of the book stating these issues .

I struggled through, but finished. The book was well written, but just not the kind of material I prefer to read. 3 out of 5 ⭐️

A captivating thriller that follows Sera a young woman with a unique ability that she inherited from her mother that allows her to peer into the eyes of a vicious killer, forcing Sera to embrace her gift to protect those she loves. The characters in this book are phenomenally written and despite being a slow burn for me in the begging, kept me wanting more. I love a strong female lead and and this journey with a courageous character like Sera was perfect for me.
