What a great little book! Dalí is the perfect story for kids to keep dreaming and pursuing their dreams, working on their talents, trusting their gut. Also, for us parents to help our kinds succeed in their own paths. It's written in a way that kids can understand and that can open their curiosity about art and great artists.

Another fantastic book in the series.

My four year old and nine year old love the Little People, Big Dreams series. This latest book focuses on the life of painter Salvador Dali, presenting his childhood and career with simple text and quirky illustrations. Many of the artist's paintings can be recognised in elements of the illustrations, making this a fun read for parents as well.

A recommended read for fans of Salvador Dali and fun educational reads for children.

Thank you to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing group for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is part of a series that I quite enjoy reading. It's always very informative, but I don't always enjoy the style of the illustrations, which is precisely the case for this one. I liked learning about Dali's life and journey, but the visuals weren't my cup of tea.

In this entry in the long running series, kids meet Surrealist artist Salvador Dali. He had his own way of creating art and was a unique character. What influenced and inspired him from when he was young Salvador until he was well known? Find out in this story that includes illustrations that are a bit eccentric as seems fitting. Note that there is additional information at the end of the book.

This is a solid entry in the long running series. It is always good to spend time with a child who had dreams.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for this title. All opinions are my own.

"Salvador Dali" is an educative picture child book. The book teaches the kids about one of the greatest artists in the world, Salvador Dali. His childhood was interesting, his studies were very inspiring, and his work was worth it. His wife Gala was his Muse and great support. My children love this book because they love the painting and enjoy painting of his best painting as a model . I really enjoyed reading this book from NetGalley and I am thankful for it!

A wonderful book filled with delightful illustrations! What a way to teach kids that being a little different can have a beautiful outcome. My kids got a kick out of him hanging a tooth on the ceiling!

This young reader story about Salvador’s Dali is written and drawn in a way that seems fitting to the eccentric painter. It gives a brief glimpse into the reknowned artist/creative’s life and how his talent was fostered and encouraged.

I wish it had incorporated some of his most famous pieces of art, even as an addendum at the end.

Another great read from an amazing series.
I think everyone has heard of Salvador Dali, although to be honest I didn't know a great deal about him other than him being known for his art.
I learnt about his life in an easy to understand book along with great illustrations.
What I particularly liked about this book is that it touched on him being different and people laughing at him - I think it's important younger children are shown that even if they are different, that they can still go on to do great things.

A very interesting biography about a fascinating and eccentric painter that helped define a period in art history.

Concise and easy to understand, this book is a perfect introduction to one of the greatest artists of our time! The illustrations are whimsical and fantastical, just like the art of Dali. A combo of fun facts and inspiration for budding artists!

Another enjoyable Little People, Big Dreams book. Always interesting to read one of these books when it is someone you don't know much about.

Another great addition to this series of books, with a child accessible bio of artist Salvador Dali.
It would be good if it could include some examples of his artwork alongside the information.

With thanks to the author, publishers Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books, and NetGalley for providing me with a digital ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

This is another worthy instalment in the Little People Big Dreams series, always a fun way to learn about some of history’s most interesting characters. The story’s message is once again a positive one for young readers, that great things can happen if we believe in ourselves and have the courage to be different.

Even at a young age, Salvador was a somewhat eccentric child who stood out as being different from other children. He didn’t let that stop him from expressing himself though, particularly through his art. At just 17 he was accepted to the most prestigious art college in Spain, but found himself frustrated by the restrictions imposed on him by his professors. When he was 25 he moved to Paris to join other artists who were also interested in a concept that excited him, namely surrealism, or the expression of the unconscious mind through art. He progressed from there to have great success in the United States, and to eventually become on of the world’s most highly-regarded artists.

The mini-biography of Salvador (complete with a timeline) at the end of the book is a great resource for young readers to cement the facts learned in the book, and offers advice on how to learn more about him.

Top marks as always, and I look forward to reading more of the series.

What an adorable Little People, Big Dreams book! The illustrations were the best part as an adult, but I’d bet for any child as well. They were well done and capture a touch of the essence of Dali. The storyline wasn’t as inspiring as some of the other books within this series, but it was still enjoyable to read. Any budding artist will enjoy this short read.

I love the Little People Big Dreams series and this book is no exception.
The story of Salvador Dalí is incredibly interesting and the illustrations are as amazing as ever. Perhaps even more so because this time the drawings pay homage to Dalí's unique style.
I am sure children and adults will enjoy this book immensely.

Dali was a controversial and conflicted human. His art certainly deserves exploration, and this book focuses on Dali as a child, who dreamt big and unique dreams. I have mixed thoughts on the overall content and the illustrations but have a generally favourable feel towards it.

I have read loads of books now in the little people, big dreams series! This book is another corker!
I have heard of Dali, but didn't really know too much about him so I found this book really interesting.
I love that the illustrations of this book correlated to Dali's own unique style.
Love how confident he was in his own talent too!

I’m a fan of the series and the illustration but I don’t think this book gave children enough credit. It just seemed to make the assumption that children couldn’t understand surrealism, would think Dalí’s art too weird, and that his motivations were mainly about acclaim and attention. He obviously loved attention and shock factor, but his work does “make sense”—it just does so within the logic of a dreamscape. Children are in many ways more accepting of this logic than adults. I would have loved for the message to be more about how singular his vision was, not that it made him famous. Something got lost in translation here.
