Fallon Honeywood is a workaholic entrepreneur who collapses after a difficult event. Fallon's mother is a soap opera actress and they have a strained and difficult relationship. After Fallon's collapse she begrudgingly agrees to go to Blakeney Hall for the Christmas season to relax and meet the family of her mother's soon to be fiance.
While on first glance this book seems like just a forced proximity love story, I think it is truly about the healing relationship between a parent and a child.
This was a feel good holiday novel that helped put me in the holiday spirit. I enjoyed the main character Fallon and especially enjoyed the supporting characters especially Runcible and Theo. Exactly the type of story I am looking for in a holiday read.

Was here for the Christmas/holiday vibes in Christmas with the Knights, but Fallon's mother honestly ruined the book for me lol
After the first book i read of Langdon's was Christmas with the Lords, I was so excited to get a similar one. Fallon is a party planner in London who is burnt out right before Christmas. Douglas and his son swoop in to try and help. This is such a lovely read and it is just as amazing as the first one I had read.
Fallon is a successful but exhausted event planner whose health forces her to take a break from her work life over the festive season. She has a challenging relationship with her soap star mother, Jacqueline, but agrees to accompany her to Yorkshire to meet her lover and his family. The setting for this wonderfully festive story is North Yorkshire, and whilst the manor house's appearance echoes Wuthering Heights, the story is cosy, gentle, and romantic. I like the cast of characters, the exploration of Fallon and Jacqueline's relationship, and the wintry country house setting and events. Fallon likes her mother's friend, Douglas, who seems to encourage Jacqueline's best traits. Meeting his son and grandson unexpectedly affects Fallon as she wonders if kisses under the mistletoe and motherhood are possible for her. I like the cosy style of this Christmas story, the family dynamic and the wintry festivities.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
Cozy Christmas cheer in a book.
Fallon is a London party planner who has hit her limit and burned out right before the Christmas season. An invitation from her mother to join her at the York-area estate of her boyfriend seems too good to be true, especially when she arrives to find the handsome Alexander and a delightful village.
The book is well-paced and laced throughout with delightful Christmas imagery, evoking feelings of both nostalgia and wanderlust.
The character of Fallon is realistic, battling with her own perceptions and insecurities throughout the book. I mean, who in the world has no self-doubts or misgivings? The entire cast of characters is written thoughtfully, seamlessly being involved in one another's lives. The underlying theme of family relationships is heartfelt, and will leave you wanting to know more about the future of the characters.
Do yourself a favour: grab a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle under your favourite blanket to enjoy this holiday treat.

If you love the idea of spending Christmas in the UK as much as I do, reading this wonderful story is the next best thing to being there. I really enjoyed Langdon’s 2023 Christmas offering, Christmas with the Lords, so I was excited to read this one. Although there isn’t as much humor, it’s still another heartwarming romance between the lord of the manor and a Londoner who desperately needs the escape and joy that a celebration of the holiday in the English countryside can provide.
Fallon is a highly successful, workaholic event planner who’s burned out and in need of a restful vacation. Instead, she accompanies her self-absorbed, neglectful soap opera mother to her soon-to-be stepfather’s country estate for three weeks around Christmas. There she meets his gorgeous son, Alexander and precocious grandson, Theo, who are both dealing with their own issues. Rather than taking it easy, Fallon agrees to plan her mother’s engagement party and work with Alexander to help launch his artisanal gin business at the annual village Christmas Fayre. As the days pass, Fallon begins to fall for this father and son but doesn’t see a future since she doesn’t want children, believing she’ll be as bad a mother as hers was. However, the appealing beauty of the Yorkshire moors, the warmth of the quirky extended Knight family (including eccentric Aunt Constance and effervescent sister Coco), and her mother’s apologies and efforts to heal their relationship help ease her loneliness and make her question if the frenetic pace of London is sustainable or even desirable.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story which checks all the boxes for a cozy, clean Christmas romance. The only problem I had was Fallon’s negativity and hurtful decisions she made out of fear. All’s well that ends well, though, so I definitely recommend this charming holiday offering.

This book reads like a Hallmark movie and is perfect for the Christmas season!
I loved all of the characters so much! I especially loved how the relationship between Fallon and her mind changed throughout the book. And of course I loved Alexander and Theo!
If you love Hallmark movies, the single dad trope, and Christmas vibes, then you'll love this book!
*Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the eARC!
What a beautiful love story. Surely a follow up could follow. Simply stunning writing. I loved every word and was sad when it ended...

Fallon Honeywood is an overworked events planner who gets invited to her mother's fiancé Douglas Knight's manor Blakeney Hall on the Yorkshire Moors for the Christmas period.
Mother Jacqueline is a soap actress in a soap called Mayfair Mews. Throughout Fallon's childhood she has been largely absent, making Fallon feel abandoned. She is still manipulative, used to getting what she wants, roping her daughter into organising an engagement party for her with extremely short notice. However, it looks like Douglas is softening her.
At Blakeney Hall Fallon and her small dog Runcible soon get sucked into the Knight family - Douglas' son Alexander, a widower, and his son Theo, Alexander's gay half-sister Coco and their aunt Constance, plus Douglas' ex-wife Estelle who fronts a popular baking show and unexpectedly bonds with Jacqueline.
Fallon is not one to sit idle - she packs a lot into her day, likes bracing country walks and soon helps Alexander with the marketing for his artisanal gin at the Christmas Fayre.
She is also, against her better judgment, getting involved with nine year old Theo, even though she does not want to have children or look after other people's, largely because she thinks she would be as bad a mother as her own was.
This is predictable and sweet, largely conflict-free and sufficiently Christmassy. It reads well, has a clean romance and lovable supporting characters. The mother-daughter conflict is explored well. If you don't want to engage your brain too much, this is for you.
Christmas with the Knights is a heartwarming story about healing, family and creating the life you want (with the family you make). This was a lovely story and puts you in the holiday spirit.
Thank you netgalley for an arc of Christmas with the Knights by Hannah Langdon
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read an E-Arc of Christmas with the Knights. Everything in this review is based on my opinion and my opinion alone.
I liked that there were actual Christmas vibes in a Christmas book. About the characters, I did not like Fallon's mother. She was insufferable and annoying. Now, I understand that there will be characters in each book that I do not vibe with and that's one thing that I like about books. But she was that way all through the story and then at the end she tries to make everything right and tells Fallon she wants to be a better mom - Yikes! Wanted to pull my hair out. Then there's Fallon who is just a doormat for her mother's insults and insufferability. She takes it and never stands up to her. Fallon has a very negative attitude about everything and thinks that all is wrong with the world and there's nothing good.
I would have loved more in the romance department. There wasn't really any sparks that flew between our MMC and our FMC. I love a good slow burn, but there wasn't any burn at all. They went from nothing to kissing and then it was over. I would have loved some romance, some burn, anything other than what it was.
Overall, there was a want to like this book. I loved that it was a Christmas book and the concept was fun. It just didn't do it for me unfortunately.

This was enjoyable but I think I prefer Christmas with the lords.
When Fallon’s mother takes her along to spend the holidays with boyfriend and his family in the countryside, Christmas seems more magical. There’s plenty of family drama and past grievances to sort out while building new relationships and improving others. The book is heartwarming and joyful!
Such a gorgeous festive story, I read Christmas with the Lords last year and I'll be honest it was one of my most favourite stories ever, so much i have read it twice since! So I was really hoping Christmas with the Knights would live up to the hype for me. It did! it's such a wonderful festive and uplifting story.
It does deal with a Fallons relationship with her mother which really added to the story and made me really understand Fallon and her fears.
Also lets not forget Alexander and Theo! I just really loved the cosiness of the story!
Highly recommend
‘Christmas With The Knights’ by Hannah Langdon is a heartwarming and charming Christmassy read following workaholic Londoner Fallon Honeywood as she embarks on a festive trip to the countryside to meet her mother’s new partner Douglas. The stay gets interesting when Fallon forms a bond with Alexander, Douglas’s handsome son, and finds herself volunteering to help launch his gin business.
I really warmed to Fallon as a character and found her relationship with her soap star mother intriguing and realistic. Her ugly-but-cute dog Runcible brought so much joy to the tale, and I adored Alexander’s son Theo. There was relatively little drama in the book, but the wintertime cheer and relatability kept me reading - I really, deeply cared about the characters and their wellbeing.
Giving this four stars and recommending as a lighthearted Christmas read to indulge in with a mug of hot chocolate and your favourite blanket. If you liked Langdon’s previous novel - ‘Christmas With The Lords’, you’ll love this one (and the Penny/Llando cameo), but this book is a standalone and would also suit fans of Sarah Morgan.
I received an advance Digital Review Copy of this book from the publisher Storm Books via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.
This was an emotionally festive read. It had all of the feels that I like in a Christmas book, but it also had a little drama.
Fallon needed a break, which is how she ends up with her mom going to Blakeney Hall to spend Christmas. I really did not like Fallon's diva mom with her sharp tongue, but there was a little more to her story as you will learn.
There was a little Christmas magic at work here as Fallon learns she needs balance in her life with work, family and free time. A rescue donkey named Heathcliff and Fallon's dog named Runcie round out this wild cast. This was a light read with a little deeper message, but it was still fun and full of Christmas spirit.
Thank you to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Hannah Langdon for providing me with a complimentary digital ARC for Christmas with the Knights coming out October 24, 2024. The honest opinions expressed in this review are my own.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I was excited for the Christmastime vibes. I thought it would be a little more cozy. I think there was a lot going on in the book and it was a little confusing. I enjoy the Yorkshire setting. It felt very Christmas-like. But overall, I couldn’t relate to the characters as much as I wanted. Others might enjoy this.
3⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for an advanced copy of Christmas With The Knights.
Fallon owns a very successful event planning business but she has worn herself out to the point of passing out. She decides to take a break and spend the holidays with her mother Jacqueline who is a famous actress who Fallon has a very difficult relationship with. They travel to spend the holidays with Jacqueline’s boyfriend Douglas and his family. Fallon meets Alexander who is Douglas’ son and Alexander’s son Theo. The more time Fallon and Alex spend together the more they fall for one another but Fallon never wanted to open her heart up again let alone be a mother after how horrible her mother was when she was younger. But is she keeping herself from the best thing that could happen to her?
This book was good but a little predictable. Some parts drug out a little bit but overall it was a good read.
This is the second book in a row that I've read where the main character is an Events Planner suffering from burnout - I'm glad that I never tried that as a career - although apart from that the two stories are different in their own ways. Here we have Fallon, who is suffering from stress, agreeing to travel to Yorkshire with her soap-opera star mother for the Christmas holidays. They will be spending these at the stately home of her mother's aristocratic boyfriend (are you still classified as a boyfriend when you are a grandfather?) , but also meet his widowed son and grandson.
This is a lovely seasonal romance set in a glorious (but cold) location with a wonderful cast of characters,, plus a scruffy little dog, a donkey and a wildlife rescue centre. The story concentrates on Fallon and her mother trying to repair their relationship, which has always been strained, plus a potential romance with Alexander, the son, complicated with Fallon's worry about her lack of mothering instincts. Read it, settle into a Christmas mood and remember, don't become an Event Planner.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.
I loved this book, I'm such a fan of this author and her writing style, she never disappoints. A good mix of quirky, likeable alternative characters brought to life with Hannah's fabulous writing style. An absolute perfect festive read full of joy, fun and family antics. I heartily recommend this book.
