I truly enjoyed this audiobook. It was a light, slow burn romance that kept the bumps and bruises along the way to a minimum.

Tasha is beyond excited to meet her favorite author - Amelie De Pierre. She's read all of her books and is even working up the nerve to pitch her services to Amelie - she's an audiobook narrator and would love the chance to read the series. The reclusive author is finally ready to meet the public, and Tasha wants to be one of the first to greet her. Except Amelie isn't who Tasha expects. Amelie is really Pierre Toussaint, who wrote and published under a pen name initially as a dare in college. Until the books started selling.

Pierre hopes that his fans will be forgiving of his deception and is relieved to be welcomed with open arms by his readers. Sometimes, a little too welcome. He bumps into Tasha a few times: he helps her pick up her fallen books at the signing, soon to be saved by her in return when an over zealous fan tries to corner him in the hotel lobby. Again, she's given the chance to have lunch with Pierre when her friend wins a contest, and insists Tasha be the one to share a meal with her idol. Then he agrees to go out dancing with the girls as well, not quite ready to end the night.

Pictures of Pierre with Tasha and her friends are soon leaked, around the same time Pierre realizes he has a problem. His visa is going to expire, and he'll have to cancel the rest of his tour dates. Going back to France doesn't sound so bad, but his publisher is pushing for a solution, and he's hesitant to let down the people looking forward to the events. Again, enter Tasha. They both live in the same small town, they get along, and the publisher would be willing to compensate Tasha if the two were to marry. Except they might be starting to have real feelings for each other.

A marriage of convenience, this one was even more than I could have hoped for. Sweet, gentle, with minimal heartbreak and so many swoon worthy moments. Along with taking the time to really develop a friendship between the two.

Now to the audiobook features. I've listened to several dual-narrated books, but this was the first one that used both narrators in the same chapter. Any time a male speaker was heard, Tyler Hyrchuk would voice the role, and the same for Amanda Friday. It made the dialogue flow so much better, and was really a feature that I took notice of and enjoyed. I'd definitely love to see this applied in other audiobooks in the future!

Tasha and Pierre (Amiele) were great. They had so much banter, and embarrassing moments, and private moments. They were the cutest. It’s always great watching a marriage of convenience turn into something real. Once again Savannah knocked it out of the park. The narrators were perfect and did such a great job bringing the characters to life. I loved that Pierre’s narrator was fluent in French. That really added more character to his character.

Savannah Scott’s *A Not So Fictional Fall* is an audiobook that feels like a warm embrace on a crisp autumn day—a delightful mix of humor, romance, and self-discovery that’s as cozy as your favorite sweater. It’s the kind of story that effortlessly balances charm and heart, making it a perfect companion for anyone who loves contemporary romance with a splash of wit and a dash of whimsy.

The story follows Charlotte, an aspiring author whose perfectly ordered world begins to unravel when a case of mistaken identity throws her into the orbit of Ben, a grumpy yet undeniably charismatic editor. Their worlds collide in the most unexpected ways, leading to a tale filled with banter, blossoming feelings, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. Scott’s writing is sharp and full of heart, capturing the awkward, messy, and utterly delightful nature of falling in love when you least expect it.

The narration is a standout feature, with a performance that elevates the story’s humor and emotional depth. The narrator effortlessly captures Charlotte’s quirky, endearing voice, while Ben’s gruff exterior and hidden vulnerability are brought to life with equal skill. Their chemistry crackles through the narration, making their interactions feel authentic and alive. Supporting characters, from quirky coworkers to meddling friends, are given distinct voices that add texture to the story, making the audiobook an immersive experience.

What makes *A Not So Fictional Fall* particularly engaging is its perfect blend of lighthearted romance and deeper emotional moments. Beneath the witty dialogue and romantic sparks lies a story about second chances—both in love and in life. Scott explores themes of self-acceptance, creative ambition, and the courage it takes to rewrite your own story, all without losing the breezy charm that makes the audiobook so enjoyable.

The production quality is seamless, with clean audio and pacing that complements the story’s rhythm. The narration flows effortlessly, pulling you into Charlotte and Ben’s world and keeping you hooked until the very last word. It’s the kind of audiobook you can easily get lost in, whether you’re curled up at home or out for a long walk under autumn leaves.

Scott’s writing shines in the way she balances humor and heart, creating a story that feels fresh yet familiar, like catching up with an old friend who always knows how to make you smile. The seasonal backdrop of autumn adds a layer of coziness that enhances the romantic vibe, making it a perfect listen for fall—or anytime you need a dose of comfort and joy.

*A Not So Fictional Fall* is a delightful escape, brimming with witty banter, heartfelt moments, and just the right amount of romantic tension. It’s a story that will leave you grinning, swooning, and maybe even feeling inspired to chase your own dreams. For fans of contemporary romance, lovable characters, and happily-ever-afters with a side of humor, this audiobook is an absolute treat. Five stars and a wholehearted recommendation to dive in and fall in love.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

As a Bookstagramer, voice actor, and assistant to several authors, Tasha’s life revolves around books. So when she agrees to attend a popular book convention it is for two simple reasons. First, to meet her virtual besties and second, to secure an autograph from her favorite female author, Amelie De Pierre. But when Tasha learns the true identity behind Amelie De Pierre she quickly finds herself in over her head.

Savannah Scott’s A Not So Fictional Fall was first released as the sixth book in the multi- author, interconnected series, Sweater Weather. While it is set in the small town of Harvest Hallow, it later spurred another series of Scotts which features He’s So Not My Valentine.

This book has been released in several formats including physical, electronic, and audio. While each of these have their own benefits, I strongly suggest it be consumed as an audiobook. Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk remind readers of their talent by not only voicing every character, but mastering a handful of accents in the process.

Trust me when I say if you are a bookstagirlie you need to listen to this book!!!

Additional reasons to listen:
-forced proximity
-hidden identity
-marriage of connivence
-dual POVs

Special thanks to Netgalley, Victoria Editing, and Savannah Scott for allowing me to listen to this book in exchange for my honest review!!!!

Who among us doesn’t dream of meeting the human responsible for our favorite books and characters? I for one would be SHOCKED if one of my favorite authors was a man, let alone if that man turned out needing to get married to stay in the country, but that is exactly what happened in this book. I loved Pierre and Tasha. Their romance was swoon-worthy, and I giggled throughout the whole story.

A Not So Fictional Fall by Savannah Scott
4.5/5⭐

Thank you to NetGalley and Savannah Scott for this audio e-book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a sweet romantic comedy that is perfect for the Fall time. An unconventional love story between a hopeless romantic and a romance author. What started as an awkward meeting to a budding friendship turns into a marriage of convenience. Could this marriage lead to more or will they keep the rules to make this strictly professional. The narrators did a great job with the voices and really helped to bring the story to life.

SYNOPSIS
I live for happily ever afters.
And I'm finally meeting my favorite romance author in person!

Only, all this time, I thought author, Amelie De Pierre, was a woman.

It turns out, Pierre Toussaint is the man behind the books that make me weak in the knees.
He could be the consummate book boyfriend with his dreamy hazel eyes, strong jawline, and those black-rimmed glasses. Not to mention that accent. Oh, that French accent. When Pierre speaks, I feel like I’m curled in his arms on a riverbank being fed chocolate-dipped strawberries.

Not Pierre’s arms, of course. We barely just met. And I’m just me. And he’s Pierre, internationally renowned romance author.

Seeing Pierre in person has me stammering and blushing—two things I don’t usually do.

Imagine my surprise when I receive a call a few weeks after meeting Pierre—from his agent—proposing marriage. Not that I’d marry his agent.

They want me to marry Pierre.

This was a really cute, closed-door romance. I typically don’t like it when books have a lot of bookish lingo like bookstagram, but for some reason it didn’t bother me in this one. This was a cute marriage of convenience storyline with small town charm.

I listened to the audiobook, and I had no idea this was duet narration, which is my favorite! Add in a sexy French accent and this was so much fun to listen to. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much if I read it physically. The narrators’ performances make this book!

I loved this story, but I didn't really love the narrators. I started reading this anthology last year and was very excited to get this audio book. Book Six of the Sweater Weather series is really just the perfect book to read in the Fall! All things cozy, A Not So Fictional Fall is a fall-themed romance set in the cozy small town of Harvest Hollow, This book rom-com follows Tasha, a book reviewer, and Pierre, a charming French romance author, who find themselves in a marriage of convenience. Think the proposal but roles are reversed. A marriage needed for citizenship. They put all these rules in place to remain plutonic, but read this one to find out what happens.

This is a part of a series yet reading this was such a amazing as it was an easy breezy quick read. Listening this in audiobook format was the best experience as the narrators were amazing and wonderful.
Coming to the book, the plotline was well paced and executed nicely. The characters were given sufficient scope to contribute and shine throughout the whole book. I absolutely loved each and every character in the plotline.

A Not So Fictional Fall follows Tasha, a Bookstagrammer, who meets her favorite author, only to discover he's the charming Frenchman Pierre Toussiant instead of Amelie De Pierre.

This charming read features a believable romance with great chemistry, humor, and bookish references. The duet narration works well, though Pierre’s animated voice feels a bit telenovela-like. You don’t need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one. It’s a cozy fall read with laugh-out-loud moments, perfect for fans of closed door, fake relationship/marriage of convenience romcoms.

Returning to Harvest Hollow in this one was like receiving a warm hug from a dear friend. I just adore this sweet town and all the characters in it. I read He's So Not My Valentine earlier this year so it was really neat to revisit Tasha, Pierre, Heather, and Rene. I also love the marriage of convenience trope and really enjoyed Savannah's take on it. I'm so glad I included this one in my fall lineup!

Tasha...I love that this girl is an audiobook actress. That is such a dream job, but one that I don't think I've seen a MC actually have before. Since I had already read Heather's book, I had already had glimpses of Tasha, but I enjoyed getting to really know her. I loved her personality and willingness to help others and the super close relationship that she and Heather share. And the way that she fell so completely for Pierre...❤️

Pierre...French men honestly don't hold a ton of allure for me, but Pierre is just the cutest. He's just so very genuine and considerate. He was always more concerned about Tasha and her feelings before his own. It was really neat seeing him fall so completely for her when that clearly wasn't a part of his plan and he really wasn't open to love at all. Kudos to the voice actor for Pierre in the audiobook version. I think he did a great job and his French accent helped to really immerse me in the story.

Things I loved:

❤️"hot French professor"
❤️Tasha dropping all her books
❤️Lobby escape
❤️Going dancing
❤️Harvest Hollow (I wish I could visit this sweet little town in real life)

Book 📖: A Not So Fictional Fall
Author ✍️: Savannah Scott
Rating out of 5: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Blurb: Tasha is a lover of romance books, so she is thrilled when she gets to meet her favorite romance author! Much to her surprise, the author’s name is just a pseudonym for the attractive, French man she saw in the hotel, Pierre Toussaint.

Review: This was a sweet book with some cute parts, some funny bits, and a lot of romance book talk. The attraction was pretty immediate between the two characters, so when a marriage of convenience trope was introduced, I was on board! I love a good fake dating plot- let alone fake marriage 😂

My main issue with this book was that it felt really fast, and I didn’t feel like the characters connected as much as I would have liked. Also I could have done with so much more fall-themed things! 🍎 I wanted to experience the apple everything more than I did. It sounded so lovely!!

I did love Pierre’s family! They were all so sweet and I enjoyed having them around the house! 🥰 I also appreciated that Pierre wrote books and Tasha recorded audiobooks because the book talk between them was fun!

Overall, this was a cute, light book that was easy to read and had some fallish vibes. 🍁

Oh my gosh, I got such a kick out of Savannah Scott's A Not So Fictional Fall! Such a cute trope. and Scott does is beautifully. I espescially enjoyed the quotations at the beginning of each sentence.

The dual narration is perfectly done, and thank goodness they went with this style of narration for the audiobook! Pierre's French accent is so romantic, and the way Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk alternated through the dialogue is just fantastic.

Just wonderful!

I think I would of enjoyed this book so much more if I had read the book instead of listening on audio. I just didn't care for the narrators. I have never had a time that I had disliked both narrators. The story is good, I just would recommend to read it instead of the audio.

Thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing for an advance copy of the audio in exchange for an honest review.

I gave my rating based on the book, not the audio.

I enjoyed this autumn audiobook! I had never heard of the sweater weather series but thankfully this definitely feels like a standalone novel. This sweet, marriage of convenience story is such a lovely listen for this time of year. The main couple, Tasha and Pierre, felt like real people and I was rooting for them the whole time! I enjoyed the pace and the equal time spent with Pierre and Tasha. I found myself chuckling at Tasha's inner monolouge. The descriptions of fall were a perfect complement to the story, especially the fall wedding and festival.
The audio narration was quite well done. Having a male and female narrator was definitely helpful in my enjoyment of the story.
I do wish we could of had more time with side characters because they were just as interesting as the main characters (especially the bookstagram friends and Pierre's sisters and friend). I also found some of the scenes a bit spicier in description than I was expecting. But overall I enjoyed this listen immensely! 4.5/5

A Not So Fictional Fall is a delightful and heartwarming romance that beautifully blends the marriage of convenience trope with a unique twist. Pierre, a charming French romance author, finds himself unexpectedly tied to Tasha, his super fan, in a plot that’s both sweet and endearing. Their journey from strangers to something more is filled with tender moments and lighthearted humor, all while keeping the romance clean and wholesome.

Though part of a larger series, this book can easily be enjoyed as a standalone, with a satisfying happily ever after that leaves readers smiling. Savannah Scott’s engaging writing and lovable characters make this a perfect pick for fans of feel-good romances.

The audiobook was read by Tyler Hyrchuk who read the part of Pierre and excelled at his French accent. Then Amanda Friday read the part of Tasha and she is just always an excellent narrator and a good choice for any audiobook.

Thank you to the author Savannah Scott and NetGalley for the audiobook.

I think i would have enjoyed this more if not for the female narrators voice. Every line she said made her sound confused, unsure, or embarrassed. I also found their relationship a little too perfect, too amiable.

I might give this author another try in the future, but not in audio book form.

It was a delightful read!! I loved the beautiful narration and could feel the ancipitation, romance, laughter and all the emotions while listening. The most memorable part for me is the love confession and their entire wedding ceremony carried out 😁 The protagonists were adorable and the distinct diversion between the two cultures was memorable ❤️
