This book is a closed door, marriage of convenience, sweet romcom, that is part of multi-author series called Sweater Weather. Still, it can be read as a standalone.
I listened to it as an audiobook and the duet naration and Pierre’s french accent definitely made it enjoyable.
Tasha’s favorite romance writer is Amelie de Pierre, but it seems that that is the pen name for a man named Pierre. She is instantly attracted to him but it took sime time (and a marriage of convenience) for him to realize that he has feelings for her.
I really liked that they got along great from the beginning and became friends first.
The book is funny, sweet and perfect for fall.
I also liked the quotes it the beginning of the chapters and Pierre’s love declaration.

Tasha is stunned to find out her favourite romance author is a man. And a stunning French man at that! When she gets roped into helping him out at a chance meeting at his book signing, she finds herself getting into more than she bargained for, in the form of a fake marriage!
Am I starting the Sweater Weather books by reading book 6 first? Yes I am! The audiobook narration of this one was fantastic. That French accent, wow. And the storyline was super cute and well executed. This was such a fun read. I'm looking forward to reading more of the series.
Thank you to Netgally for the ARC (Audio Version) of A Not So Fictional Fall

Tasha is meeting her online friends IRL @ author event, She is excited to meet her very favorite romance writer Amelie De Pierre, whom she expects to be a woman, turns out that is not the case. while he is now on a US tour he doesn't have a visa so it turns into a fake marriage. Fake dating troup is generally my favorite
I expected to love this book, I have read the Sweater Weather Series but I just couldn't get into it, it was fast paced but I feel like too much was left out.
I loved this book so much I devoured it in one day!!
I was so sad to see this book end. I loved these characters, the plot, and the romance. It is a closed door romance and it does take a while for the FMC and MMC to connect romantically but it is soooo worth it. Gotta love a slow burn 😉
In this novel we follow Tasha who is a huge fan of this French romance writer she believes is a woman. When she arrives at a book signing to discover the writer is none other than the hot man she spotted in the hotel lobby earlier, she drops her books and her jaw. Pierre started writing under a female penname as a dare but it stuck. When he spots the gorgeous woman from the lobby waiting in line for his autograph, he helps her pickup her books and starts a friendship. This quickly turns into a marriage of convenience between a sweet FMC and a swoon worthy, cinnamon roll MMC.
I loved every moment of this novel. Honestly, there are so many romantic moments between zip lining, a stay in a treehouse hotel, Tasha making a homemade meal for Pierre’s family as they visit from France, and crazy friends and siblings. There were no dull moments.
The only thing that was just “eh” was the narration. It took me a bit to get used to the male narrator because of the French accent. It was a surprise for sure but it did grow on me and I will miss it! The female narrator talked too slow. I ended up speeding up the speaking speed to 2X and it read better.
This is my first read from Scott and it won’t be my last!!
