Hair tucked behind ears by every character.
Chapter 4 had me totally confused. I thought the writer had mixed names up, then I thought I'd mixed names up. Then I decided just to keep reading. Two chapters later I realised I just hadn't been smart enough to keep up with the writer.
45% in and I'm gripped. The little plot stones are building up to a road I cannot wait to go down.
Well, so many possibilities, and none were right. Great job of keeping me interested and guessing.
A crime romance in beautiful Italy and Greece!
With beautiful people and hot law enforcement officers, very good wine and good food!
Really exciting and the action builds up extremely slowly and only at the very end do you find out what, who, why, etc.
You have an idea, of course, but there are definitely surprising twists that you don't expect.
It really cost me a few of my fingernails.
Then there are these strong women and extremely hot scenes.
I love how Patricia Evans slowly builds up the intensity and eroticism.
I was particularly pleased to meet Trobaugh and Hooper again. Absolute favorites!
Parker is simply irresistible, that's what you hear on the base and no woman can resist her.
She, however, cannot resist the only suspect in her latest case that she has been assigned and it develops much more than she thought.
More than she ever felt!
Thank you to Patricia Evans and Bold Stroke Books for this ARC I received via NetGalley!
would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book

an interesting read... now i need to find a hot spa....
never a dull moment when you read one of this authors books
This book contains a lot of things I like in a book., detailed descriptions of excellent wine and food, a hot woman in a uniform, a steamy romance and on top of that a lot of suspense and a murder mystery to solve. The womanizer Parker and the Italian wine expert Alessia make sense as a couple and Alessia has a lot of interesting extra layers that are fascinating to discover.
Thus, this was a book I enjoyed reading and can recommend to everyone that want to read a sapphic suspense story with a lot of plot twists that could not be predicted.
An excellent read. This is the fourth book I’ve read by this author. The mystery aspect was excellent, as well as the character development. The author certainly knows how to write a hot sex scene. I look forward to reading more of her books. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley, and I’m writing this review voluntarily.
There's romance, intrigue, vigilante heroics, and lots of spice.
Parker is an American Army Captain stationed at the NATO camp in Italy. She discovers an adorable café, and it's here that she first meets sommelier Alessia.
They keep bumping into each other, even more so when Parker is asked to use her Military Police detective skills to work with the local police force and help solve the murder of an American citizen.
But is Alessia all that she seems? Just how did she know details about the murdered man that hadn't been made public? How did she know about the second murder before even Parker knew?
There's a lot packed into this story, and the HEA ending is pleasing.
The spice is quite hot, and there are outdoor moments shared, hot springs, waterfalls, and a trapeze bed in an old converted winery...
