I’m a big fan of this series and was so excited to read an early copy of this upcoming thriller. Once you read about Paul Strom, the pompous & misogynistic character, he will become the man you love to despise!

We met Cecelia in The Second Mrs. Strom, which was the follow up to Best Day Ever. In What the Nanny Saw, Cecelia Strom has now filed for divorce from her husband, Paul, who is currently serving a prison sentence after their trip to Paris. She’s trying to protect her baby daughter from Paul’s grip and feels like shes failing as a mother until she meets Lizzie. After meeting in a coffee shop, Cecelia hires Lizzie to help with the baby. Lizzie’s background check is clean but something isn’t right. Cecelia feels as if she’s being watched and valuables go missing. Lizzie couldn’t be happier caring for the baby and dreams of her own family life. When roles reversed and finances are at stake, things get heated!

This was an immersive read from start to finish, not really knowing who was the one spinning tales! I enjoyed meeting Lizzie and learning about her history as well as seeing more from Cecelia. Paula had a presence throughout but he had more of a secondary role and I hope to see more from all of the characters in the future!

First You must read The Second Mrs Strom first which was fantastic. In this book it picks up where the other book ended. Cecelia is mow living in California, but in a different but gorgeous home. She now has a child Peyton, a precious little girl with Evan which was not planned. They never married and she throws him out due to the fact that he is cheating and has never been there for her and the baby. Prior to her having the baby she was in a terrible accident which took her months to heal from and having the baby just made things worse. In comes this nanny Lizzie who seems like the perfect person to help her. But Lizzie has big secrets and is not whom she appears to be. Eventually the suspense keeps rising as the book progresses. Her ex husband is in jail, not ex yet because he refuses to sign divorce papers. Without giving away spoilers, Cecilia finally gets wind of Lizzie’s devious ways. Peyton gets kidnapped but no spoilers here. This was another fantastic book by Kaira Rouda. I want to thank net galley and the publisher for this ARC of the book. I gave it five stars. Just page turning. Another must read!!! The was an honest review of the book for the ARC I received. Just Awesome!! Also read Best Day Ever first, then The Second Mrs. Strom.

I had no idea this was part of a series when I requested it, and for me I think it would've benefited me to have read the other books prior to reading this one. It just didn't hold my attention like I thought it would. It was truly like reading a soap opera.

What The Nanny Saw is a propulsive, quick read. Kaira Rouda has the formula down for a page turning, scandalous thriller. The pacing was great and the plot was solid.

However, that's where the praise ends for me. This was like a soap opera, the back and forth of whether Evan is really just a misunderstood good guy or a self absorbed manchild. Lizzy, sly and sneaky, but careless and stupid. Cecilia, smart and savvy, yet too trusting and accepting. Many events were quite repetitive or unrealistic, such as the amount of money Paul asked for. Sometimes I felt like I was reading a book written in the 1980's, with phrases like "A fool and her money will soon be parted" or the names of the four children in a family are Kathie, Kimmie, Jimmie, and Johnnie. The ending was abrupt and neatly tied up in a way that would shockingly never happen in real life. Great story, but details and dialogue needed to be stronger for me.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this novel.

“Perhaps I didn’t make myself clear: don’t text, write or call me again.”

Wow now I trust no one. My head is still spinning from this twisty thriller! I couldn’t put this one down, I mean so much so that I picked reading over sleep. That’s what coffee’s for right?I kept thinking I had it figured out then I turned the page! Kaira has easily become one of my favorite authors and this series will have you wanting more!

Thank you net galley and publisher for this ARC. I really enjoyed the continuation for Cecilia's story. This book moved quickly and kept me guessing what was going to happen next. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good thriller.

I'm a huge fan of Rouda's and I've read every novel she's written. And I adore this series starting with Best Day Ever! Initially, Lizzie is the nanny to four youngsters but when the dad hits on her after his nude pool party, she's sure she needs another job. Fortunately, Cecilia is a new mother as well and lives next door with a new 5-month-old, Peyton. Father Paul is in prison for throwing Cecilia off a rooftop--in the previous book--so Lizzie is able to step in immediately as Cecilia has chronic pain and back issues due to her fall. She sees Lizzie as a godsend but Lizzie has eyes on Evan, the baby-daddy. Alternating chapters reveal the machinations of the scheming woman who is desperate to have her own happy family--even if it means hurting anyone in her path!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

The third super-charged book in a series based around Ms. Cecilia Strom, What the Nanny Saw was everything I would expect out of a Kaira Rouda novel. After all, she’s made herself known for her addictive popcorn thrillers with those of us at Thriller Book Lovers: The Pulse. Each bearing a ratcheting pace and twisty, twisty plot, I’m never disappointed when I sit down with one of her books. This time around was no different, of course. Packed with unbridled suspense, all I could do was hold on for dear life as the delightfully over-the-top scenes came brilliantly to life.

Just like in every other book that I’ve read by this author, this one had plenty of thoroughly unlikeable characters. While not necessarily true-to-life in the typical sense, they nevertheless made my alliances shift back and forth as the deliciously unhinged events quickly got underway. With emotions such as jealousy and suspicion riding high, I happily got sucked into their plot charging drama. And the fact that it was all told via dual POVs made the whole thing undeniably sing. Who to trust? Who to suspect? As the puzzle pieces were laid down, I was utterly floored.

All said and done, while I definitely had to suspend all disbelief as I flew through the pages, this crazy train ride was bingeable in the extreme. So much so, in fact, that I read it in just a matter of hours. With palpable tension, an explosive climax, and teasing plot twists, I was even completely won over by the smile-inducing conclusion. Now I’m just crossing my fingers and toes that there’s going to be a fourth book in the series. Fear not, you can read them all as standalones, even though I don’t really suggest it. After all, you not going to want to miss out on a minute with the Stroms. Rating of 4.5 stars.

Thank you to Kaira Rouda, Bookouture, and NetGalley for my complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

Thank you Bookouture for the copy of What The Nanny Saw by Kaira Rouda. If you’re looking for a fast, fun, and easy read, this is it! After reading The Second Mrs. Strom, I was surprised that the book took off in a way I wasn’t expecting! (This is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.) Lizzie is a clever MC and I need to know what she does next! 4 stars.

I was so excited to read this book. The saga of Paul the narcissist continues and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. We first met Paul in The Best Day Ever and continued in The Second Mrs Strom where we meet Cecilia. Now in What the Nanny Saw the saga continues and it's downright explosive. This book was so much fun and so fast paced. So many lies and so much deceit it was the perfect recipe for a domestic thriller.

In this continuation of the saga we catch back up with Cecilia, who not only has survived her Paris ordeal, but seems to have come out even stronger. Now a mom to a baby daughter, along with her partner Evan, she has everything she thinks she ever wanted. A large home on the ocean and more money than she can spend (almost), the one thing she again is lacking is a reliable partner. When Evan proves unreliable with child care and support, and does something unforgivable, she kicks him to the curb. Because she's in so much pain from her Paris injury, she knows she needs some help and hires a nanny. Maybe it's because she is so tired and in so much pain, Cecilia let's her guard down.
As chaos ensues and her daughter goes missing, Cecilia knows it's time for some major changes to her life.

This story shows that Kaira Rouda is truly the queen of domestic suspense. There is so much more story to tell with these characters. I'm hoping there is another sequel.

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the advanced copy

Wow I loved this! I had absolutely no clue where the story was going until the very end. This is the first I've read from this author but won't be the last!

This book was an edge of your seat read with twists and turns. If you like Frieda McFadden, you will love this book. Can’t wait for the next Kiara Rouda book to come out. But this on your TBR list. Release date 11/13/2024

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review-
Cecilia has a beautiful home and a new baby she is struggling to care for after her back injury her ex caused. One day at the coffee shop she meets a nanny and hires her to help- but does she really know who she hired? She wakes up and the crib is empty. A psychological mystery that will keep you turning the pages! Kaira is such a good author!

If you haven’t read Best Day Ever and are Second Mrs Strom what are you doing? Go read them, and then come and read What the Nanny Saw.

It is 5 years since the events in Paris and Paul is now in prison and Cecilia has a newborn baby with Evan. But things are working out with him and she is still suffering from her injuries.. so insert a nanny,a Lizzie. Only Lizzie is not all she seems and life starts to spiral out of control for Cecilia.

Another book full of unlikeable characters that just keeps you turning pages. It is fast read, waiting to see who would do what to who. I thought there would be a bigger twist with Lizzie, ai was waiting for it but it never came. But a throughly enjoyable book all the same.

Thanks so much to Bookouture and NetGalley for my early copy of this book to read. Publishes on November 13th.

When I requested this ARC from Netgalley, I had no idea it was a sequel to Best Day Ever and The Next Mrs. Strom. It can be a stand alone, but it's good to read the other books first. This has been a good series for me, not great, but good. So, Cecilia who we all know and love is tired with both men in her life and decides to ditch them both and raise her new daughter, Peyton, alone. However, she soon sees how utterly exhausting new motherhood is. After she has a breakdown she decides to hire a nanny and lo and behold, Lizzie appears and happens to live right next door.

Well Lizzie moves in and at first they all love each other, with Cecilia giving Lizzie lavish gifts. The fact that this is Cecilia, we know something good is going to happen. She has to be the most versatile character ever. I just love her. Lizzie happens to have ulterior motives and is raging with jealousy and revenge. This book gets so twisty and compelling, it is impossible to put down.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC. I highly recommend this book.

All I can say is "WOW"! I couldn't put it down. Back is our friend, Paul Strom, who is in jail for trying to kill his wife, Cecelia. She has had a tough time recovering from injuries. Evan has taken care of her and their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. They have a child but since then, Evan has become distant, not helping with the baby and started having an affair. Cecelia kicks him to the curb but damn, this motherhood thing is tough. By chance, she meets Lizzie, a nanny, in a coffee shop. Lizzie finds herself with a new job as Cecelia's nanny but that's not all Lizzie wants. Lizzie wants Cecelia's life and will do what she needs to get it. Evan decides he wants to be a part of his baby's life and the means to get close to her is Lizzie. Paul gets released from prison and soon after, Cecelia starts getting texts from an unknown sender saying she's unfit. Who is sending them? It could be anyone.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this advanced copy. I loved it and can't wait for the next installment.

Different than the many other nanny books, Kaira Roudu does a fantastic job of providing characters that we love and those we hate. I'll let you decide which is which for yourself! Cecilia's character is strong, and at the same time she allows her trauma to determine her decisions. By the way, why are these men so dumb (not all men)! Kaira's writing style makes this a a quick, easy read, leaving you guessing. I'll be looking for more of her books!!

Thanks NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really struggled with this book. I usually love Rouda’s novels, but I found the characters in here annoying and hard to care about. I tried to keep reading, but eventually did not finish the book.

What the nanny saw by Kaira Rouda

I can’t say enough about this book! I basically devoured it and now I have such a book hangover that I can’t even function without thinking about it! It’s connected to the book The Second Mrs Strom, and I loved the way this one played out. My head was spinning at the suspense and right when you think you know. You have no idea!

Cecelia is part of the top tier, beautiful home on the beach, perfect physique, fancy cars, nice clothes. Beautiful little girl! Who wouldn’t want to be her.

The nanny Lizzie who works next door has been caught up in the glamour, watching her neighbor with all the things that one desires, she is dying to be a necessity in her life! Coming to her aide and putting herself in demand to watch her child. Lizzie has put herself in the perfect spot to be a carbon copy of Cecelia.

With Cecelia’s past coming for her and other life changes making it difficult to function, Cecelia checks out of life and misses the tell tale signs of someone snooping in your life!

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this fantastic ARC!

What The Nanny. Saw is SOOO good! If you haven't already, read Best Day Ever and The Second Mrs. Strom by Kaira Rouda as this is the third. It is also a great standalone novel.

Every time I think Kaira Rouda can't surprise me with twists and turns, she does in a big way!

Rush to read this one! And be careful who you hire to work in your house!

Thanks for the review copy
