I love this book. I imagined if I'm still young and have found this book, it will benefit a lot for my life skills and general motivation to thrive.

Thoughtful and thorough. A bit more philosophical vs practical in the opening parts and it didn't hold my 14-year-old's attention as a result. I think I'll try it with him again (or have him try it on his own) when he's a little older and I'll keep it in my Kindle reference folder to refer to as things come up.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC.

Steve Scott's "Level Up! 50 Game-Changing Life Skills for Young Adults" is an empowering guidebook tailor-made for those stepping into the complexities of adulthood. Scott masterfully curates a collection of essential skills that serve as a compass for navigating the turbulent waters of young adulthood.

The book is neatly divided into digestible chapters, each focusing on a pivotal aspect of life. From financial literacy to emotional intelligence, Scott covers a comprehensive range of topics, ensuring that readers are well-equipped to handle various life scenarios. One of the standout features is the practical approach Scott takes. Rather than overwhelming readers with theoretical jargon, he provides actionable steps and real-world examples that make the advice immediately applicable.

Scott's writing style is engaging and accessible, making complex concepts feel manageable. His voice is authoritative yet friendly, striking the perfect balance to motivate and educate without feeling preachy. The book is filled with personal anecdotes, which adds a layer of authenticity and makes the content more relatable.

One of the book's strengths lies in its inclusivity. Scott acknowledges the diverse backgrounds and experiences of his readers and offers advice that is universally applicable. Whether you're a recent graduate, someone entering the workforce, or even a young adult looking to refine your life skills, there's something in this book for you.

The layout and design of the book also deserve a mention. It’s visually appealing, with clear headings and bullet points that make it easy to navigate. Each chapter ends with a summary and a set of actionable tasks, which serve as a great recap and encourage readers to put what they've learned into practice.

"Level Up! 50 Game-Changing Life Skills for Young Adults" is a valuable resource for anyone looking to enhance their life skills and thrive in adulthood. Steve Scott’s comprehensive and practical approach makes this book a must-read for young adults seeking to level up their lives. It’s not just a book; it’s a toolkit for life.

Steve M. Scott’s "Level Up!" promises an all-encompassing guide to help young adults navigate the complexities of modern life with actionable advice on mindset, productivity, health, relationships, and financial independence. While it undoubtedly delivers some useful guidance, it feels like the book misses the mark by omitting some of the most practical and essential life skills.

*Level Up!* offers young adults a valuable playbook for improving their lives in critical areas. Its engaging, conversational tone makes it approachable for readers who may otherwise shy away from self-help. The advice on cultivating a growth mindset, optimizing productivity, and fostering meaningful relationships is sound and backed by modern psychological and productivity principles. Topics like biohacking and brainpower offer intriguing, if sometimes niche, tips for self-improvement.

For readers seeking inspiration or needing a gentle nudge to focus on long-term goals, this book could be a motivating read. It’s the kind of advice you’d want your younger self to have had, presented in digestible, easy-to-follow segments.

Where "Level Up!" falters is in its scope. While the book excels in providing strategies for personal growth, it noticeably lacks any mention of practical, hands-on skills that young adults desperately need. Learning to maintain a home—basic plumbing, electrical, or even assembling furniture—is an everyday reality for most adults. Similarly, understanding car maintenance—how to change a tire, check oil, or jumpstart a car—is vital but entirely absent.

These omissions are significant because they limit the book’s utility as a truly comprehensive guide to “game-changing life skills.” While mastering productivity and interpersonal dynamics is essential, it doesn’t help when your sink is leaking, or your car won’t start on the way to work. For now, it’s a solid starting point—but if you’re searching for advice on how to replace a leaky faucet or troubleshoot your car’s battery, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

A huge thank you to Netgalley and AR PRESS -Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) and Steve M.scott for giving me a chance to read "Level Up! 50 Game-Changing Life Skills for Young Adults+ " in exchange for my honest review.
This book found me in a complicated time in my life, just as i was feeling down about what I'm doing with my life and everything is so huge and scary and life moves past me like a current and I'm the only thing that stands still and it gave me the push I needed to get motivated and turn a new page in the book of my life and be a better version of myself.
If LIFE HACK was a book ,this book would be it ! So many great lessons to be found within it's pages for everyone -young or older adults- that need a little guidance in order to better themselves in small aspects of their lives. Steve M. Scott really said "I'm going to write a book about the little ways we can be better everyday through practise" and then delivered this masterpiece.
All the little lessons learnt thorught the pages of Level up! will sure benefit whoever picks it up as a read. Even if they are not big into the self-help type of reads ,this book will change their minds ,just like it changed mine !
I definitely recommend it to all readers in search of a good book to help them be a better version of themselves and want to grow and be the most amazing version of themselves.

This is a great resource for young adults. A lot of it is common sense but things we take for granted and often overlook. This is a book I would love to gift to both of my sons to help them focus and grow. Definitely recommend for anyone who feels stuck in the daily grind.

This book had fine lessons, but I wouldn't say there is a single thing in this book that made the book stand out as helpful or as a necessity.

This is an excellent guide that covers many facets of life. I think it's applicable to young adults as well as us seasoned veterans! It covers varied topics from mindset, goals and dreams (and plans!), nourishing your body and your mind, boosting your brainpower, conflict resolution and networking, money matters, and leadership. Well-written and comprehensive. I wish high schoolers were required to read something like this. More adults would be prepared for adulting then!

I received an advanced complimentary digital copy of this book from Netgalley. Opinions expressed are my own.

This book was a great conversation starter for my high schoolers, I would say not every tip was valuable and it could have been whittled down some. However I found enough value in the book that I will be recommending this book for summer reading for my high school parents.
