Stuck in the Country with You by Zuri Day was an enjoyable and captivating story. The plot revolves around Genesis Washington and Jaxson King.
Genesis discovers that she will be Jaxson Kind, an unforgettable one night fling 10 years ago, when she inherits her uncle's farm.
Ten years later, despite the past, Genesis finds herself still drawn to Jax, and it’s clear from his actions that the feelings are mutual. However, as she faces challenges—such as her cousins contesting her great-uncle’s will, financial instability, and her growing attraction to Jax—Genesis finds herself uncertain about who she can trust.
As Genesis adjusts to the demands of farm life, Jax offers not only his help but also his heart.
Overall, Stuck in the Country with You is a delightful and heartfelt read, showcasing themes of love, trust, and second chances. And also an easy and comfort read for times like Christmas holidays.
I enjoyed this lighthearted romance that sees Genesis learning to live a rural life after an unexpected inheritance. The characters are complex and engaging. A lot is happening, and the couple's history makes their initial interaction difficult. I like the setting, the chemistry between Gen and Jax and their gradual emotional connection.

I feel like this went from 0 to 100 at one point. It was a cute story and I think if you’re looking for a quick read it would be perfect. But the country romance I thought I was getting ain’t what I got.
Thank you to Zuri, Mills & Boon and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy.
It started out really promising... but the way the spice is written is just not for me and the time jumps mid chapter are hard to follow and the romance feels a little rushed and forced.
Interesting concept but it was a dnf at 67%
A heartfelt love story with big characters and even bigger romance. When Genesis inherits her uncles farm the last thing she expects if for her one night stand in high school to be her neighbour. How will she navigate this new situation? Throw in some jealous cousins who think the farm should be there and will do anything to get it back. Can Genesis fulfil her late uncles wishes without falling back to old habits? Or will it be different this time?
I really liked the plot and storyline of this books. The characters were simply divine and had great depth about them. I do however feel that the pace of the book sometimes pulled it back a bit. In the middle it seemed to slow down quite a bit. When the tiny homes were brought in the face picked back up again and I loved it. I really look forward to reading this author again and seeing what great new stories they have
Loved this romance with a couple of people learning from past mistakes and misunderstandings to become better people, by themselves and together. I liked how much time we got with the MCs existing separate to each other, but knowing that together they were even better.
This was a really sweet and cosy small-town read that had a great premise and charming characters, there were just a few issues that personally stuck out to me. I felt we didn't really get to experience the small-town in it's entirety and I would've loved to have actually read chapters on Genesis really getting into the nitty grittty of the farm. A lot of the story depended on the narrative for example I would've really liked to have seen chapters really get into the depth of Jaxson and his daughter, however their time was only described through brief narrative. Nevertheless it was a delightful read;
