The Time Traveller's Wife is one of my favourite books and I'm so pleased this pushed me to give it another read after first picking it up probably 15 years ago! Its a gripping read that is so well written. The plot is cleverly thought out and the time jumps executed brilliantly with great character development. Despite jumping around in time and dealing with different time lines for the characters the book flows naturally and keeps the reader engaged and immersed in this beautiful love story. Highly recommend if you haven't already picked it up!

Clare looks forward to visits from Henry who appears naked in her secret dell near her home. She becomes accustomed to keeping spare clothes for him and his conversation. He won’t give any details about their future but provides a list of dates when he will appear. I found this story to be intense and gripping. We follow Claire and Henry through the years and time jumps piecing together a moving narrative of their lives. Totally deserves it’s reputation.

Wow, I'm still reeling from reading this book. There was love, sci-fi, a bit of everything in this book. It made me laugh and cry, I really have no words.

This should be on everyone's Read list!

Parts I didn't like:
- Henry's feet
- The ending (it could have been a bit longer, a bit more touching.)
- I wanted more info on Alba, what happened with her? Maybe a sequel??

If you are going to read this book though, don't try to work out the dates. I did flick back a couple of times. If you think about how and why logically then you'll get confused and may probably throw the book in the nearest bin! Sit back and let Clare and Henry's story flow over you. As long as you know how old they are you can roughly work it out.

This is also the first book I've finished and then turned to page one and started again straight away.

Given the TV series that was released either this year or last this book deserves to be republished. I fell in love with the film version and the book telling the story of Henry and Claire is just as good.

People need to read the book to get the full experience and the real depth of their love.

An absolutely brilliant book - considered a modern classic for a reason! Really changed the game for books on time travel that aren't sci-fi, with amazing in-depth characters.

This is one of the classics.

You feel that everyone should read this at least once in their lifetime.

I read it and wanted so badly to love it, but it just didn't fulfil it's potential for me.

The story is fantastic, the characters are great but it didn't blow my socks off.

4 stars - a sweet, gripping and emotional read.
I had seen the musical before picking up the book so I knew the overall story arcs, but it was so much more interesting getting to see Clare and Henry’s thoughts throughout their hectic lives. The book delves so much deeper into the struggles they face both because of and despite Henry’s time travel, and their romance felt deeper and more realistic when read through their POVs.

This book is full of emotion and romance and it will break your heart

This book has two wonderful main characters that you will full in love with and they will leave you devastated and in the need of a box of tissues
