I really tried to like this book. But the human sacrifices and religion really put me off. I also struggled to connect with characters . Ideas were unique but this book just wasn't for me

Review: This was rather stilted at the beginning yet I soon discovered that this was an uncorrected proof. Once you weave around the grammatical errors, it is a pretty fun read. There are pop culture referents that I did not like, as it detracted from the story lines intent. I am sure the author thought he was being funny, but it wasn't.

I would like to see where this series goes but will not lose any sleep if I miss the next ride.
