Their work life defines Carlos and Sofia, career surgeons who excel at their work, and this causes rivalry when they meet. Carlos hides his pain and avoids emotional attachment, but when his anxiety is triggered, Sofia helps, and they give into a purely physical attraction. Mutual respect and trust mean they form an emotional attachment that neither expected. It proves to be healing for both. I like the dynamic between Carlos and Sofia. The gradual emotional attachment that grows between them and the story's dramatic trauma setting.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
This is a cute little emenies to lovers book from Mills and Boons - the second in their brand new Argentina series and it was a nice quick read even if a little slow.
An excellent romance. Two surgeons both with strong wills and real skill in the operating theatre fight to work out whether all they have is rivalry or if there’s a connection there. All the action takes place in the hospital with a few small exceptions., the detail is great with surgeries well described in just the right amount of detail making them interesting but not too long. Looking into panic attacks and PTSD was sensitively done and the sexy romance flowed through well.
