Book 190 of 300 ~ 2024
🌟🌟🌟🌟
A little cloud loses its parents, and so the story goes. The rhyming was done well, and it didn't feel forced. Adorable illustrations, too.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is a cute story about a cloud who gets separated from his family.
The verse was written in rhyme, although I felt it wasn't a fun easy going flow if that makes sense, and was a bit more complex - maybe more suited for slightly older children.
The illustrations were very simple, but effective.
I received an ARC of this children's book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is a really cute book. The pictures are adorable and so is the story!
The Little Lost Cloud is a picture book about a little cloud who gets lost in a storm and needs to find its way back to its family. It meets some animals who help get him back home. The book shows that it's okay to ask for help and to also be a helper! It would be great for young children up to early elementary.
Thank you to the author for an egalley of this book for an honest review!
The Little Lost Cloud is a cute journey through the sky with a tiny cloud that gets separated from its family during a storm. As it floats around meeting various animals from different parts of the world, this beautifully illustrated book teaches kids the value of asking for help and embracing new experiences.
First off thank you to NatGalley for the eARC of this delightful book.
At first glance the book is beautiful: decorated with stunning digital art and carefully selected fonts. Any child would be delighted upon getting this in the had, I am sure of it.
The author should be a little more careful: they should avoid being unintentionally problematic. The phrase "you're so white like me" made me choke on my drink and when I showed my teacher wife she agreed that she would not be able to include that in her classes. Just something to think about. As innocent as it is, people pick apart everything while trying to be woke.
Other than that, the plot and storyline and points were perfect and really sweet.
Very cute book, rhyming was very on the nose. Liked the journey with the animals and can imagine my niece and nephew relating to the characters.
Such a sweet little book about the kindness of others and finding your way home. I would definitely buy this for my little one.

I have a bit of a soft spot for children's books written about clouds.
This is a cute story about a lost cloud. The illustrations are for a very young audience but the text is a bit too complex. There is a mismatch that makes it hard to target the audience for this book.
I enjoyed it as an adult with an appreciation for children's books but I would not get it for my library or recommend it to a student.
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the eARC.
The book was beautifully written. The author made careful word choices that were very impactful. Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it.
The Little Lost Cloud is a sweet story about a cloud who gets separated from their family during a storm. Along the way, they come across different animals who are kind and encouraging. The illustrations are simple and cute, and the rhyming nature of the story flows easily, making it a great book to read out loud.
I thought that this was a really lovely story!
The story is really well written, it has a lovely flow to the story and the layout of the pages was spot on - my daughter really liked this one and as a mum i liked the rhyming nature of the book.

This children's book tells the story of a cloud that gets separated from its parents during a storm and meets friendly animals along the way.
What I loved most was the illustration. The drawings are incredibly charming, and the vibrant colors make it perfect for kids! The story is also well-written; it’s easy to follow, with short, rhyming dialogues.
However, I found the small text a bit challenging to read. Larger, bolder letters would have made it easier for both kids and adults. Despite this, my toddler enjoyed it when I read it to her.
I would definitely recommend this book for children and would love to see more from this author in the future!
