This was a lovely read. We're immediately dropped into Jas' world and get to know her quirks and whirlwind approach to life. She is a very engaging character. I also really enjoyed the rest of the characters, from her sister to the various locals in the town. The story itself is perfect for readers who love feel good Christmas romantic comedies. It will keep you reading, with a wonderfully festive feel and you'll be willing the best for Jas. Very enjoyable.

Jas decides to go back home after her ex dumps all her fabric in the street. She decides that she'll start her hat making business there. Everything has changed since she left there 9 years ago. Nobody wants to do the xmas market so she decides that she'll do it

Jas is at a crossroads when her ex trashes her beloved vintage fabric stock and her much loved and treasured hats she has made. She returns home to find her mum has moved on with a new partner and she no ,on her has a room thanks to the walk in wardrobe in her old room. She decamps her new Milner business to her grans old house, then her mum throws a spanner in the works by deciding to sell the house a,one with her own and maybe move abroad with her partner. Jas finds herself running the Christmas market and she discovers she’s good at more than she thinks. Throw in a handsome man and she dosnt know where her ,I’ve is going.
Ballyclane is a typical Irish village loved my visit there and hope maybe to return in the future. Great book.

A cheery Christmas reads that relies very heavily on the trope of misunderstanding - a lovely read nonetheless.

Lovely nice slow burn Christmas read. Some bits I felt could have been missed but apart from that it was ok.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

I enjoyed reading this cosy read.

After Jas finally sees what her boyfriend is ready like, especially when he threw the fabrics she loved and was hoping to use over the street where they lived. She leaves and comes back home.

Her plans are to start her business making hats as to launch it at the Christmas market that is held in the Georgian square.

But, as she’s not been home that much, her home town of Ballyclane that she’s come back to has changed and is no longer how it was when she left nine years ago.

Her mother is in a relationship with someone she’s yet to meet, and her old bedroom is now a walk-in wardrobe Her gran, who Jas was really close to has passed away and her house, where she hoped to use for her business is now wanted by property developers.

Not only that, the Christmas market isn’t even under organisation. Jas doesn’t have enough time to do both, prepare for her business and organise the Christmas market. She definitely doesn’t have time for Niall, a builder, who has his own troubles.

Jas has a problem figuring out what is actually true, her best friend is hiding something, someone who treated her unkindly in her childhood is back too in Ballyclane, determined to do the same now and there’s a French female everyone is captivated by.

Will Jas finally get what she wants at the Christmas market?

I highly recommend this debut book.

An absolutely brilliant story . I loved the hats . The setting. Gosh school bullies , no no no. A real slow burn love story . The Christmas market I wanted to go to.. The main character drove me mad at times but I know it was part of the story. I was shouting at her at times. Read it and you will get. Ace ending .
