This was a light-hearted and fun holiday read.

I really enjoyed the time-travel aspect of the story, it really helped keep the plot entertaining. I did feel, however, that the 1950s feel was kind of missing. There weren't many period specific nods, and I think it would have really fleshed out the world to have a bit more of a juxtaposition between the modern day and the 50s.

The ending was also a little rushed and, although I was satisfied with it, I felt there was room for a bit more story before we said goodbye to these characters.

I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy this as much as the others but I really did! I loved it was set at Christmas for a change and followed the third brother. I also felt this book had a real solid plot through it with elements of time travel to keep you engaged throughout while also having fun characters to keep you reading

A charming, whimsical romance that blends magic, humor, into a delightful reading experience .

Sterling’s writing shines through with wit and heart, capturing the quirky charm of her magical world while grounding the characters in real, relatable emotions. The book’s pacing is perfect, keeping the reader engaged with a balance of light-hearted moments and deeper emotional beats.

While The Wedding Witch is a perfect read for fans of cozy romances and magical realism, it also has a broader appeal for anyone who enjoys a well-written story with emotional stakes, humor, and a dash of magic

After reading the two other books in this series I was a bit surprised that the third one was holiday themed romance and not a Halloween one but I was curious how it would compare. This one is a bit different than its predecessors but nevertheless has a great witchy atmosphere which I enjoyed. It was great to learn more about Bowen and his banter with Tamsyn was great.
I hope Erin Sterling writes more witchy romcoms soon.

I had intended to read this during spooky season, being that it was part of a witchy series, but I’m kind of glad I waited a little longer!
This one is far more of a Christmas romance than Halloween, and I loved that 🎄

📖 The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling
📚 book 3 • The Ex Hex series
⭐️: 4.5/5
🌶️: open door, a few scenes

💭 overall thoughts:
Bowen, our favorite grumpy bearded Welsh mountain man (witch), really found his match in (human) Tamsyn.
They were definitely the perfect grumpy/sunshine duo ☀️

I felt their chemistry immediately, and adored their meet-cute & email/text banter 🔥

The Kiss Curse is still my favorite in the series, but they were all fun witchy rom-coms! I loved getting a little update from the previous two couples 🥰

🎧 audiobook thoughts:
I did this one partly on audio, and the accents took me some time to get used to. I would have also preferred a male narrator for Bowen’s POV.

read if you love:
✨ witch + human
💼 boss/employee
🕰 time travel
💌 email/texting banter
🛏 only one bed
🔗 forced proximity
💕 dual 3rd person pov

I absolutely adored the first two books and was so excited to read this one, especially considering it's set around Christmas time which is my favourite holiday! I love Erin Sterling's writing and I loved being back in Graves Glen!

Bowen has always been a character I've been interested about and I loved that we got to know his character more. From the previous book we know he lives quite a solitary life so it was nice seeing him interact with his family and especially Tamsyn who happens to work with him. I very quickly grew to love Tamsyn and I loved the banter she had with Bowen! The chemistry between the two was off the charts and had me swooning!

The Wedding Witch is a funny, light-hearted and adorable romance sprinkled with magic and time travel which I absolutely loved. I need more books set in Graves Glen!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am obsessed with this series of standalones from Erin Sterling. I can always trust her to get me in the mood for witchy romances and the spooky holidays! This was another great story that was entertaining and hilarious! Highly recommend and can’t wait for the next one!

A cozy, witchy fall/winter romance between the last unattached Penhallow brother, who is correctly nicknamed Mountain Man and the quirky magical treasure huntress who teaches him about pop culture. When a spell goes wrong and the two are thrown back in time, shenanigans and romance ensures. The characters were likable and felt real, the pacing kept me engaged and most importantly: no third act break up.

This is the book I have been waiting for! I was so excited to get to know the next Penhallow brother! This one did not disappoint. I loved the element of being sent back in time, it gave it some amazing tension. Tamsyn was such a fun FMC to follow and I fell in love with this whole world all over again. Sterling is an auto-buy author for me and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

This story is a delightful blend of romance, magic and time travel which makes it the perfect cosy read for both the spooky season and yuletide too. Though it’s the third book in Sterling’s series, I think it can be read as a standalone too as I realised in the first few chapters that I’d missed out the 2nd book but the storytelling experience wasn’t impacted.

Bowen Penhallow, the strong, silent type with a grumpy edge, is a witch who thrives in his remote Welsh mountain retreat. Here, he can lose himself in ancient magics and revel in solitude, broken only by visits to his family—or from his ghostly best friend, Declan. When Bowen reaches out to Tamsyn Bligh, a formidable human known for tracking down magical items, he has no idea he’s about to spark a romance hotter than any spell. Tamsyn, driven and tenacious, has her own reasons for diving into the magical underworld, and when fate (or perhaps just some meddling magic) thrusts them together at a yuletide wedding they spark a chain of events leading to them both being sent back to 1957 where they must work together to get back to their present—while resolving mysteries from the past.

Sterling masterfully blends intrigue, romance, and humour with genuine emotional depth between Bowen and Tamsyn. Their chemistry shines through witty banter and shared vulnerabilities as they grow closer, and it’s refreshing that the tension is organic rather than relying on predictable plot twists. The story offers plenty of suspense, with the stakes high as the pair navigates the fragility of their timeline.

With an inventive plot, rich character development, and an atmosphere perfect for the transition from Halloween to Christmas, The Wedding Witch is a memorable addition to Sterling’s magical world. Highly recommended for readers looking for a seasonal read that’s both heart-warming and brimming with enchanting twists!

A lovely and unexpectedly festive speedy read with tonnes of pace, spice and new characters to keep this fun series fresh and interesting. I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did, a joyful addition to the series but hoping that this is not just a trilogy now the Penhallow men all have been matched up as all these characters are just too good to leave there! Was I slightly confused by the resolution? Yes, but I'm not mad about it - the chemistry between Bowen and Tamsyn is what I was hankering for throughout and it delivers in spades.

I really liked this book. I’ve read all of Erin Sterlings books as they haven’t disappointed! This book had a really good mystery/time travel concept that was different to a lot of other books I’ve read which was really good.

I’d read this book so quick.

Erin Sterling is back with another delightfully magical rom com in The Wedding Witch, where ancient magic, a time-slip mishap, and simmering chemistry come together in the Welsh countryside.

This time, we meet Bowen Penhallow, a brooding spellcaster who's traded social life for dark magic studies on a mountain in Wales, and Tamsyn Bligh, a crafty (but charmingly not-so-legal) dealer of magical goods who’s got Bowen in her sights, both professionally and in her dreams.

When Bowen is summoned to a Yuletide wedding, he crosses paths with Tamsyn, who has her eye on a magical heist big enough to fund her early retirement. But a wedding spell gone awry sends them spiralling back to 1957, where they’re surrounded by vintage witches, eerie house secrets, and a whole lot of Yuletide mystery.

As they try to return to the present, Tamsyn and Bowen are forced to rely on each other, leading to sparks that are just as enchanted as the mistletoe hanging around them.

Sterling captures the perfect blend of humour, magic, and holiday romance, with a cast of characters who are as eccentric as they are lovable. If you love the charm of a historical twist, a touch of mystery, and just the right amount of holiday romance, The Wedding Witch is a must read for your winter book pile! Prepare for laughter, swoons, and a whole lot of bewitching holiday fun.

This is my first introduction to Erin Sterling and her romantic-paranormal series, but I never felt out of the loop in regard to any relevant information I may have missed from the previous 2 novels. I'm sure if I did read them beforehand I may get more out of certain conversations/relationships/Easter eggs but I had a lovely time with this story all the same.

The plot was fun and engaging, just when I thought I knew the direction this book was gonna take, it went a different way entirely!

A fun and romantic book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

The Ex-Hex was one of the first witchy romance books I read and I feel in love with Erin Sterling. The Wedding Witch did not disappoint. The story follows our loner king Bowen and Indiana Jones for hire Tamsyn. The two get magically sent back in time at a big wedding and have to work together to get back to the present. If you are a fan of:
-grumpy/sunshine
-one bed trope.
-he fell first
I think this book is right up your alley!

I always look forward to the next Erin Sterling release, especially because of the Welsh connections throughout her novel. This book, the third in the Graves Glen trilogy follows the final Penhallow brother, Bowen. Throughout the other novels, Bowen was the black sheep. He lived isolated from his siblings and was happy living the way he was. As his brothers settle, with some even starting families, Bowen is feeling lonely. He is even more aware of his isolation now that his brothers are sickeningly happy.
Bowen is incredibly intelligent, exceeding in his work his historic magic artefacts. He recruits the help of Tamsyn, a procurer of these artefacts and their chemistry is fantastic. When Bowen’s mysterious ghost best friend Colin pleads for him to attend his ex-fiancée’s wedding. His ghost best friend has an unusual back story from when they were in university so the pair don’t actually know if Colin is dead.
Tamsyn is also in attendance of this wedding as a way of procuring an ancient artifact that would pay enough so she would never need to work again. So, as the pair reunite after a digital friendship since they decided to work again, sparks fly.
The pair travel back in time after locating the artifact and have to fight to return to their time.
This was a really fun read. It wasn’t emotionally draining and maintained it’s fun and flirty tone throughout. It was great seeing Bowen differently than a grumpy bear he was introduced as. Their relationship was spicy and full of scorching moments. And overall they seemed to be great as friends as well as romantic partners by the end. As someone who enjoys their own company and space, seeing Bowen meet someone who didn’t impede on this and accepted his quirks was refreshing. As a Welsh person, it was fun seeing Welsh being used throughout. It’s not a popular choice so seeing my native language and country throughout was really great.
I am really looking forward to Sterling’s next book, will it be a new world and new characters? Who knows!

I must admit, I did start this book not fully being able to get in to it, however as I had previously really enjoyed the other two books in the series, I persevered and am I happy that I did! Once the time travel element of the plot kicked in, I was completely enthralled and couldn't put the book down - it was such a fun premise, filled with quirky and loveable characters. Bowen and Tamsyn were just absolutely gorgeous, I loved the chemistry they held from the second they laid eyes on each other and it all grew stronger as the story developed. This has been a stunning series to experience and enjoy, Erin wrapped it up perfectly.

I read the other books in this series so I knew when I saw this book, I needed to read it. It was good to get to know the third brother of the Penhallow family, Bowen. I really enjoyed the time travel element to the story, I enjoyed it so much that I wished it was longer. The dynamics between Bowen and Tamsyn were really entertaining. The series all ties in by explaining how the siblings are but I also loved reading about Bowen’s grandparents too. Overall a fantastic book, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I had a lot of fun in reading this witchy rom-com as there's enough humour and romance to keep you hooked and having fun.
Well plotted, likeable characters, good storytelling
Recommended.

After loving The Ex Hex and The Kiss Curse, I was pretty sure I was gonna love this one too. And I was so right!

Also, I've just found out that the woman who wrote my childhood fave and the OG enemies to lovers story, Hex Hall is also Erin Sterling. This is incredible news, love you Rachel, also please write more Hex Hall someday thanks.

Anyway. Sir Purrcival continues to be a very good boy, of course. The entire story is sweet, cozy, and perfect for a winter/holiday read. Tamsyn and Bowen are delightful together, and the cast of characters at Tywyll Hall are each unique and fun.

I do wish we got a bit more backstory on Tamsyn's life and on Bowen and Declan, but it wasn't a huge issue.

I also would now love to read Harri and Elspeth's full love story. Or Emerald!! Tell me more about her right now.

The ending was a lovely wrap up to a lovely series, and I maintain that out of the very popular "witchy small town romance" genre, The Ex Hex series is a league above.

Four Y Seren stars!
