This is a great resource to help guide you in using Netgalley and social media with best practices and hot tips, this has everything you need to start your Netgalley journey!
A very concise but useful crash course on how to approach the book communities on social media! Great tips for each platform and some lovely screenshots and examples shown! I’ll definitely be keeping these in mind as I continue trying to grow my accounts!
Thank you for this pocket guide! It’s really clear and way to read and follow with useful tips and tricks. I’ll definitely refer back to it! One for newcomers to the bookstagram or book review world. Great 🙌🏻
A great handbook for readers who want to create a social media account for book content but do not know where to start. This would have been very helpful when I started my Bookstagram. It provided tips for starting the major social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The format is easy to use and the flow of the content made sense. A new or expert book reviewer can utilize the handbook for suggestions.
Super helpful guide to those starting their reviewing platform! It had some tips that I had never considered as a veteran bookstagrammer. Will definitely be keeping this in my pocket for future use!
This was a pretty good book for online reviewing and blogging, and it includes some good tips for those who wish to review books.
I received a complimentary e-book from We Are Bookish through Netgalley.
I was not required to write a positive review, and the thoughts above are my own.
This is an excellent guidebook with good tips on how to get more attention across multiple platforms.
I thought I was doing a good job of getting the word out about the ARCs I've read, but I found ways to improve my reviews and how I present them. The creativity tips and software recommendations were beneficial, and I incorporated some of them into my latest review.
Thank you, NetGalley and We Are Bookish, for compiling this handbook.
I love this, and find it so helpful in a world full of bloggers.
I enjoyed the do and don't part of the guild I found that to be the most helpful of all.
Very informative, great for beginners and seasoned users. Quick and easy to read, I enjoyed the comparisons for formatting on different platforms.
Great guide by We Are Bookish! Helpful guide on growing a bookstagram, or any book related social media.
This publication was so helpful in focusing my social media outreach, This is a great resource for all social media platforms and anyone who wants to get started. It was easy to read and had a great overview of everything you need to be successful.
Whether or not you're a librarian, publisher, or just an informal book reviewer, the newly updated NetGalley's Social Media Handbook by We Are Bookish has everything you're looking for. A helpful guide for those starting in the book realm, or those long been here.
One thing I really liked is how informative the guide got. Not only does it do a deep dive into the basic social media platforms, i.g. Instagram and Facebook, but goes into how to personalize and tailor your content into different platforms. How to take a basic book review or just an introductory post on yourself, but tailor it to work with BookTok, BookTube, Facebook, etc.
I love that there was a strong focus on accessibility as well, creating content and working on making everything accessible to all in today's age, where digital accessibility is a huge topic.
A great social media guide that can be picked up, not just by those in the book community, but those looking to grow in the digital world.
Loved this - so many good tips for social media.
Lots of quick easy tips for beginners - i really enjoyed reading it and get some new tips and outlooks for social media
This is a really great resource for social media. I will definitely use some of this on my own channels.
Thanks Net Galley!
I am reviewing this so I can move this out of my give feedback inbox! I don't want to say that I will not give feedback because it will effect my rating on NetGalley. I don't want that to affect my chances of being approved or a book that I really want to read.
Thanks!
I always enjoy looking over these handbooks on NetGalley. They are full of helpful information for beginners but also anyone else. This one focuses on tips and techniques for social media and writing about books.
This was such a helpful little guide! I recently started my own Bookstagram several months ago, but there were several great tips in here that I hadn't even thought of. I'm looking forward to seeing how these ideas can help me going forward!
A fantastic resource for new book reviewers on this platform that have recenty started with social media. A uniquely tailored post for both new and old readers!
Helpful, some of the stuff I was already aware of, but it had a good range of suggestions across a range of social media.
On a silly note, I had been unsure about pictures of books with black and white covers because I read on an e reader, and I usually do cover shots, but I have confirmation that it's fine to add the colour cover in an editing studio! so NetGalley have confirmed this isn't cheating!
