This was a helpful guide that covered a lot more ground than I was expecting. I did find it a little bit surface level or just ‘common sense’ in areas, but overall a well-presented tool.
This was such a helpful guide, especially if you are first starting out with bookish social media. I also really appreciated the tip about book specific hashtags on netgalley, I had no idea!
Such a great tool! I found it really insightful. Full of valuable information about engagement, posting, dos and donts for reviews and tagging authors.
A great reminder about disclosure when posting reviews for early copies.
Thank you NetGalley!

I wishI had had this guide when I started my bookstagram over 4 years ago. There are do’s and don’ts, tips and tricks, a how to on using Canva, and tips to making your posts accessible.
Thanks Netgalley and We Are Bookish!
This guide has been incredibly useful, and I plan to implement several of its suggestions on my bookstagram account.
The "Netgalley's Social Media Handbook" is sure to be helpful to anyone looking how to improve their book blog on social media.
Very informative with tips for various platforms and apps, including explanations of how to use them as a beginner, or how to better use them if a blog is already established.
Also, there are extra tips for using and reviewing on Netgalley.
Much thanks to the publisher, We Are Bookish for the complimentary e-book copy I recieved to review through Netgalley. I was not required to give a positive review, and the thoughts are my own.
Absolutely fantastic tool to have for those new to promoting arc books and books in general. This little handbook is clear and concise on how to maximize your reach and productivity if you’re juggling multiple platforms as well. Thanks NetGalley!

This was extremely helpful and covered a ton of ground. I wasn’t expecting the Canva tips or photo tips for books vs audiobooks. I feel like I have 100 new ideas floating around for my IG now!
Helpful tips!
I had no idea how canva could be used so I'll definitely implement that in future posts!
I wish I had this sooner! Just glancing through the PDF, I can see a lot of strategies I can implement to have more of a social media presence without sacrificing all my time. Kudos to the We Are Bookish team for sharing insights!
This handbook was clear, simple yet effective, easy-to-read, entertaining (great visuals!), and I also learned some things! Definitely great for beginners who are just starting their social media book journey, but has some handy tips in there for more experienced members too.
Thank you for the great information. Easy-to-use tools and guides. Very helpful. It will be very useful in creating posts on social media.
Short useful little 35 page guide that you can sit down and read in an hour. Not too lengthy and you can jump to section that is relevant to your platform or learn about a new one, Thanks for the guide!
So incredibly thankful to Netgalley for proactively looking out for the bookish community. Covers all the major platforms and gives straightforward, supportive advice.
Really love all of the information provided in this social media handbook. I have a Booktok-ish account that I want to dive back into soon. I also want to start a Booktube account after I finish Grad school at the end of this year so the links, examples, and tips are so helpful!
I wish there was more information and guides to strengthening my Netgalley profile for bigger publishers. Sometimes I have issues with getting approved for big name authors/popular series.
Social media can be daunting, but breaking it down into the steps provided makes it very easy. Great tips and helpful tools for book reviewers of all types! Thank you for the resources.
Very helpful to my next planning steps with my bookstagram but wish there was more information on how to strengthen my NetGalley profile.
I found this really helpful thanks NetGally, The only criticism I have is that it’s packed with loads of helpful links but you can’t open them in the background so I had to keep going back into the book to find where I was.
