This was good basic information for someone who is just starting out on social media. It wasn’t anything new or earth shattering- but good solid advice.

I just started using social media, mainly Instagram, to post reviews of books in September of 2024. I honestly had no idea what I was doing and kept wondering why I wasn't making any progress in terms of my follower count. This handbook, while short, is incredibly informative and easy to follow. The graphics summarize everything in a concise way, and I really appreciate that I can get all the information at a glance. I am excited to use the advice and tips mentioned in order to grow my account!

For someone who is just starting out in the bookish social media world, this is a really good resource! I felt that the information was a tad redundant if you are following a bunch of bookish accounts and also get Netgalley's newsletter as much of the information is the same. That being said, having the information in one spot is helpful!

This is an excellent guidebook. I really wish I had this in the beginning of my journey with Netgalley. I recommend this if you've been thinking about starting using Netgalley.

This is an invaluable asset for anyone who reviews books. I’ve enjoyed reading and reviewing for some years but never had any formal guidance. I just write as I feel and hope my thoughts will help other potential buyers. This reference guide helps you to structure your thoughts and it’s also designed to ensure you get the widest audience from a wide range of social media platforms. I don’t use many social media sites, but this book has encouraged me to consider adding a couple for the purpose of posting reviews. I feel confident I’ll be able to maximise the potential. A really useful guide for newbie and seasoned reviewer alike.

It covers the major social media platforms, general do's and don't's, tips for posting and photos, links and info about the NetGalley Book Advocate Toolkit and Shelp Application. This Handbook is easy to read with many bulleted lists to read or skim as you need. If you want to begin your book reviewing journey or brush up on the latest trends, this is a great resource.
