‘The Nurses Mistake’ is the third book in the captivating series of ‘The Perfect Nurse’ which follows the lives of two intriguing nurses and sisters, D’arcy and Pippa.
Daniel Hurst has brilliantly crafted a narrative that seamlessly intertwines suspense, emotion, and the complexities of familial bonds.
The story is told from the dual points of view of D’arcy and Pippa, which enriches the understanding of their motivations and fears and escalates the tension as the plot unfolds through the perspectives of both sisters.
From the very first page, I was drawn into a fast-paced psychological thriller that kept me page turning throughout, while revealing the drama as they navigate the challenges presented in their lives.
Themes of loyalty, trust, and the sacrifices made for family resonate throughout the narrative, adding emotional weight to the suspenseful events.
I really enjoyed this book and thank Daniel Hurst, NetGalley and Bookouture for an advanced copy.

I have never yet been disappointed by Daniel hurst. As always although part of a series this is wrll written and can be read as a standalone. Told from the pov of the two sisters Pippa and Darcy. This given a much more powerful and emotional look into their lives and actions and true consequences of them to everyone else as well as themselves. The action is faced paced and it's a quick read. The usage of other cgaracters from past and strangers helps with the tension. Iin places I was shaking my head saying no be careful don't do it. It was so engaging and full of twists and turns from the past which suteley helped drive the character arc.
I was sad when it ended but I have a slight glimmer of hope that this might not be the end of the series. Either way I can't recommend this enough a 5 star binge read perfect for all. Thank you do much netgallery and publisher and author for this 5 star read.

So book 3 in ‘The Nurse’s Books’ series and I would say its pretty vital to read the 2 before as this is a continuation of the previous books

We are back with Pippa and Darcy and the book is pretty much an alternate chapter each as they continue trying to evade authorities and to make sense of what has gone before…

I think the book was different with longer chapters and less of the cliffhanger ending to each chapter but that was because the story is now defined re the characters etc, it was still as action packed as always and had the unmissable print of the author stamped all over it

Even in the midst of having to try and stay afloat and not be caught random and unnerving things happened just to ratchet ( nurse? ) things up even more

A good as always read, it’s fairly impossible to not enjoy a DH book and this again ticks all the boxes and ends with the trademark big ending

This is the final book in this trilogy. I have to hand it to Daniel Hurst he knows how to tell a good story. This one had me on the edge of my seat. Very satisfying conclusion. Looking forward to his next book or series.

Picking up where we left off in book two - we are back with Darcy and Pippa, two nurses on the run. Darcy is heading home, to the address listed in her notebook, while Pippa and the rest of the family are heading away from home.....

Darcy's memories are slowly being pieced together, Pippa is trying to keep her marriage happy and her family safe. Alternating between the sister's POV's, The Nurse's mistake is wildly unbelievable, in the best way, and incredibly exciting. Daniel Hurst has followed his theme of books getting even better as the story goes on - I thought this was the perfect installment. A reliable thriller as always.

Another great book from Daniel, one of my favourite authors and a brilliant conclusion to this series.

It was a fast paced, twisty thriller of a read that kept me involved in the storyline from the beginning until the end with great characters.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this great ARC which I can thoroughly recommend and the previous two books in the series.

The Nurse’s Mistake is the third book in the Perfect Nurse series. This is an addictive thriller that once you start reading, you won’t be able to stop. It’s full of twists, turns, deceit and murder and I loved it. Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the chance to review.

The Nurse’s Mistake, the third instalment of The Perfect Nurse series.

Again we pick up from exactly where we left Darcy in book two, on the run! The dual POV continues here with the story coming from Darcy, along with Pippa, Darcy’s sister. Darcy is on the run, heading back to Chicago where her notebook tells her that her family live but her family are also on the run hoping Darcy isn’t heading home! Darcy bumps into an old college friend on her travels who attempts to help her, but Darcy has another plan, she wants to get her story out there and make everything right. Pippa and the rest of the family have hidden away in an unused holiday home in the woods but they soon discover their neighbour is also on the run and isn’t who he says he is. Will Darcy be reunited with her family? Or will they all be caught by the police before they get a chance? With family tension and plenty of dramatic moments this was an on the edge of your seat book!

Now I know this isn’t the case with every series but how has this just kept getting better and better? Book two was better than book one, and now book three is even better! Couldn’t put it down, this had me hooked from the prologue! Daniel does it again, he never disappoints! Would love to see a fourth in this series…

Unfortunately this one missed the mark for me. The pacing was too slow, too much internal dialogue, although I liked the ending. I didn't feel like there was anything thrilling as such, but it was a good conclusion to the series. If you've read the previous 2 books in the series, make sure to read this one for closure.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

Daniel Hurst does it again with book three in The Perfect Nurse series. I’m really sad to come to the end of the road with this series as I loved nurse Darcy and her family who will do anything to protect her including kill. Although everyone thinks they are all dangerous we know that Darcy has only ever done what she has needed to do to survive and now she is on the run with some of her memories retuning her only thought is reuniting with her family. It’s a great thriller that won’t disappoint and if you haven’t read a book by Daniel Hurst before you really are missing out.

A highly entertaining and satisfying end to the nurse's series! Hurst is my go-to for a fast-paced, popcorn thriller and he has never once disappointed. You will definitely have to suspend disbelief, but who cares?! This book was so much fun to read. All of his books are fun and exciting. The Nurse's Mistake is book three and I believe the final book of the series. The mess that Darcy and her family have created is wrapped up nicely and I'm kind of sad that their journey is over. Maybe Hurst will surprise us with a fourth book?! I thoroughly enjoyed this one! I highly recommend it but advise you to start with book one. If you're looking for a fun, fast-paced, crazy thriller, Hurst's books are the way to go!

Thank you to Bookouture for granting me digital access via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review!

I love that Daniel Hurst made this into a trilogy!! I loved following the (stressful) life of Darcy on the run! I couldn’t wait to see what happened next and if she would get out of it. This had action at every turn! The first two books in this series are just as good and intense! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this advanced copy

I seek out Daniel’s books as soon as I can get them! I love his easy style! The Nurse’s Mistake is the third of an ongoing series that I feel will be continuing! I’ve loved all of these books as well as the Doctor’s series. In fact I’ve read all of his books! As we continue on the adventures of Darcy and Pippa (along with family), the action is non-stop! You root for everyone as there are all clearly good people caught up in unfortunate circumstances- well… murder that is! There’s an airiness as there is in all of the author’s books, and you can’t help but smile at their many escapades. Obviously there’s also tension, but overall, you are just clinging to hope that all will work out okay! Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

OK, I admit it. I am addicted. Daniel Hurst writes what I like to call “popcorn thrillers.” They are fast paced, easy to read, a bit over the top, and, dare I say, fun to read. (See The Doctor’s Wife series). This is the third in The Perfect Nurse Series. After the second one I wasn’t sure if I would read the next. Yet, here I am, reading and writing about it.

Darcy, once a nurse, has amnesia as the result of an accident. She killed someone, relocated to Florida where she kills someone else, and is now fleeing Florida to hopefully reunite with her family. Sister Pippa, also a nurse, was drawn into the drama and also killed someone. Now Pippa, her son and husband and parents are on the run. Got that? What danger will they find? Will they be caught? Will Darcy be arrested or will she escape once again?

As in the prior books, there are twists, turns, deceits, and, yes, more murder. It also continues the question, how far would you go to save your sibling, your child, your self? And, yes, one must suspend some belief as those on the run encounter various situations.

Want to make any bets as to whether I will read the next book/series from Hurst?

Daniel Hurst is one of my favourite authors. His writing style is fast paced, intriguing and engaging. This is the 3rd book in this series and probably the best one. I finished it in almost one sitting. I’d definitely recommend this book to all who like this genre or author.

The Nurse’s Mistake
By: Daniel Hurst

Another fast-paced thriller by Hurst. Darcy is on run with her family. Her family has no idea where she is. The Law has been looking for Darcy, because she has killed.

Darcy is a nurse and her job is to help people, so what are her real motives?

To be transparent some were to protect others and some were self-defense. Will she take the blame to protect her family? Her sister Pippa is with her parents.

The last straw was when Darcy fell in love with a married doctor. Thank you Bookouture for this gifted e-ARC. I can always count on a fun and fast-paced thriller by Hurst.

This is the 3rd in a series. The others are The Nurse’s Lie and The Perfect Nurse.

The Nurse's Mistake is a fast paced read that has you routing for Darcy as she and her family are on the run from the law.

Darcy has indeed killed a few people.

Some were self defense, some to protect others and some she will just take the blame for in order to protect her family.

Pippa along with her family and parents are also in hiding.

Did they ever pick the wrong place to hide.

Daniel Hurst once again knows exactly when to turn up the tension, throw a twist into the story and still have you routing for Darcy and Pippa.

I am a fairly new fan of Daniel Hurst and I have loved all his books to date and cant wait to see what he has in store next.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for a pulse pounding, hold your breath read.
