This book is so CUTE! I love doodling, but struggle to make cute characters. This book is great for practice, from beginners to advanced artists alike! This book teaches you step by step how to draw over a hundred cute animals and characters, with variations on each one! I think this book would be especially great for older children who are looking to practice their drawing skills and learning to develop their own characters. Overall this is a great book!
This book was so cute and was able to prompt so many creative thoughts for me! The tips were well thought and placed throughout the book so as to be helpful and not overwhelming. I will be purchasing this book!
No hate to the artist, but I don't think I particularly vibe with their art style. I do think the drawings are cute to a certain degree, but based on the title "Draw it Cute!", I guess I was thinking it would be more cartoonish/kawaii style. My fault for not looking at the cover art more closely though. I liked the step by step instructions, but every single one had a different last one or two drawing(s). If there were different poses or drawings of the animals, I would have preferred to be able to choose a pose. I think it would've been nice to have been given options for the poses; especially if you include other poses/different drawings anyway. Overall, I thought it was a nice instructional book that was pretty easy to follow.
Super cute! This book has a great step by step for any beginner or artist who just wants to experiment with a new style.
This is an adorable book on how to draw cute things! This would be a great gift for the little artist in your life as well as adults who like sketching.
I thought it was really helpful with teaching drawing. I love the cover and the simplicity of the art on it.
I really love this. As someone with absolutely no artistic skill, I can now confidently doodle a dodo, which I will now make my entire personality. It's really easy to follow and gives some helpful art tips for how to take your drawing to the next level, each page also gives the character a little more personality too to help prompt you to try some other things. I love the art style, it's the perfect mix of cute and funny styles and there's such a good varied selection of characters, don't get me wrong, it's great to know how to draw the animals you see all the time in these books, like a cat, but I'd much rather learn how to draw a fogu. The addition of the magical creatures is really cool too and wasn't something I expected going in. I think this would be great for adults and kids alike and I look forward to adding unnecessary dodos to the bottom of all of my Christmas cards
The animals in this book are so cute and definitely beginner friendly. I am excited to work on some of these drawings with my kids to help both of us learn more about art. Thank you for the opportunity to checkout the book! I recommend this to beginners and children.
Absolutely love this book! It's helped me so much!
Thank you so much for giving me a chance to read/ review this
This is the art book for anyone who wants to skip directly to the fun stuff! Super cute step-by-step illustrations on nearly every page, and almost no text to distract you from the art fun. I loved the clever illustrations, but was even more excited that there were a few poses for each creature teaching you to explore how you can use the illustrations further when you master the basics.
Thanks to NetGalley, Heegyum Kim, and Quarto Publishing for the chance to read and review! My opinions are my own.
Lots of inspirational images to follow along with for kids interested in drawing. Several images accompany each character to show various steps in the drawing.
Easy to follow and build up each animal or creature. As the title suggests, the drawings are cute and hopefully inspiring enough to encourage users to doodle their own interpretation after some practice.
This is a cute book with a number of animals for you to draw. There are step by step images but there are no real instructions so I would say you still need some level of drawing skill to be able to get the desired result. The pictures aren’t particularly cute, and quite detailed but it will be fun to elevate my doodles.
I got this to do some drawings with my niece. She's a little artist and definitely leans towards "cute" drawings. It's nice how the pictures are broken out into steps, but I don't know that I'd call these pictures "cute". I guess I was imagining cartoonish, with big, sparkly anime eyes and simpler lines. There is a lot of detailing here and the animals are like 80s style cartoons for lack of a better description. Also, my niece and I legitimately were confused as to why the last drawing was always an entirely different angle or picture from the rest of the page.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher.
I had a nice time drawing with this book and my daughter loved my lama ! Anyway it's pretty minimalism so don't expect full explanation or anything like this. Also I'm not sure I will qualify the style of "cute" but it's fun and easy to follow for sure !
I was wondering when I would learn to draw cute, weird and lovely facial expressions and interesting postures.
Now I know the answer.
As always, such art guidebooks coming from the publishing team are perfect! Seemingly difficult looking drawings & forms are drawn very easily through elaborate steps on each page. Everything is so cute and so doable!
Thank you, Quarry Books, for the ARC.
This is exactly the type of art I love to draw, but I may not be the best at it. I loved every single illustration. Hardly any text, just good old fashioned step by step drawings. Brb, I'm going to go draw a duck wearing a cape and hat.
Thank you to netgalley for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book was adorable, I'm not a great drawerer but even i found this easy to follow and they came out looking something like the picture. However, my husband who is an excellent drawer found this very enjoyable to work his way through and his definitely looked like the pictures. We'll put that down to my lack of skill, I would recommend this book to anyone looking to get into drawing or anyone who wants to learn to draw some of these adorable pictures.
