Peanuts x outdoor exploration is such an iconic combo, as those beloved characters have always been a part of my Scouting and wilderness guiding journeys. This is a mostly informative and educational text that is boosted by the cute cartoon characters and interstitial comic strips - a great way to learn about outdoor essentials and connect to nature. I like that the style is like a boy/girl scout beginner's guide for kids, but it's not paired with any organizations specifically, so it can be for anyone looking for an intro to camping or related outdoor activities.

Not much really.

There was a page with a comic strip that had Peppermint Patty in a two-piece swimsuit that left her midriff showing, but could easily be fixed with a little pen.

There was a mention of mythology about the stars and a short mention of false gods.

All in all, it was a pretty good book, and has some things that are good to know if you plan to go camping.

An adorable guide to the outdoors and camping! This book is illustrated with Peanuts characters, and is honestly great for anyone of any age to read (especially if you love Peanuts).

This book is super cute! I'm not into camping, but I'm sure those who are, are going to enjoy this book. I really liked the little comics spread throughout the book.

Thank you for allowing me to read the advanced readers copy of this book! I simply adore anything peanuts and snoopy related, and this book was no different. I highly enjoyed reading all of snoopys tips and tricks about nature and camping and all of the animals who may live in the wildlife.

This was an easy-to-read beginners guide to hiking and camping in the great outdoors.

In this book, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang share their favorite tips and tricks for having the best and safest time out in the wild.

I especially liked the comic strips that were sprinkled throughout the book and kept it from being dry or boring.

An informative and fun read for lovers young and old of camping and the great outdoors!
There is camping tips and and many topics for camping that were covered. Its got recipes, how-to’s and all sorts of tips and tricks that was made even more fun with the peanuts characters.

I'm not an outdoorsy person at all, so Peanuts were the real draw here for me. I didn't realize going in that this would be a true how-to book for hiking and camping, but it is super detailed and a good primer for those who are beginners or newly interested in the "beagle scout" life. I absolutely love the design of this book and even though Peanuts is a not an expected connection, the design makes the content fun and accessible.

I didn’t except this to be such a guide book! Actually had some interesting tidbits. Also liked that it had some comics!

A good guide to start out camping and goes in depth about the benefits of camping, and the steps on how to have a great time outside with nature. A great start if you or your child would like to learn how to camp safely and comes with nice badges to award them.

How to prepare and when it's a good time to plan a camping trip, activities include:

• What types of animals one might expect.
• Lists of hobbies one can do at home/ locally to reconnect with nature
• Stuff to learn prior to camping and even ways to practice it at home.
• How to prepare for what's ahead
• Lists the many types of camping styles, hikes, backpacking, and goes into detail how about
difficulty as well
• Explains what to do in certain emergency situations
• Shows what plants are safe and not safe to consume
• Shows bug bites and describes how to treat some of them
• Also has a neat guide on prints and what type of animal you are tracking or are in the area
• Includes some good recipes to try at home or outdoors

This was a delightful read, filled with charming illustrations that perfectly capture the playful spirit of Peanuts. It's a fun and nostalgic escape, overall a great pick for Peanuts fans young and old.

This book is not just a collection of comics, rather the Peanuts gang adds their take to the many subjects that are covered in this title. This will make a fun addition to the bookshelves of nature lovers.

This book is a great choice for a person who likes to spend time outdoors. It entertains and teaches.

A perfect book for everyone who loves hiking, camping or exploring the outdoors.

This is a delightful addition to the Peanuts series, featuring the all-time favorite beagle. This book about the outdoors is perfect for young readers aged 7-11. The author has done an incredible job to compile a collection featuring Snoopy, Woodstock, and friends as they help teach kids about nature, the outdoors and fun camping escapades. The book combines humor and adventure, showcasing encounters with wildlife and outdoor activities. Notably, it includes a journaling section, camping tips and fun lessons, enriching the reading experience.

Such a fun book. Love the Snoopy theme. Very interactive and kid friendly wilderness info book. Lots of different pieces of info and fun graphics.

The perfect book for families. It's such a cute and fun read with so many amazing activities to do with your family. It gives the adults that nostalgic feeling and allows the kids to fall in love with their favorite characters while also learning incredible life skills.

Snoopy’s Guide to the Great Outdoors is obviously American so much of the information about animals, plants, etc is geared towards that but this book is still perfect for any child with an interest in nature and the outdoors. Each chapters focuses on a subject around camping and hiking, such as pitching a tent or eating outdoors, and teaches its Beagle Scout readers how to do these safely (for themselves and the environment), ending with a badge for what has been learned. There is plenty of room for children to make notes of what they’ve learned, lots of activities to try and, of course, beautiful and fun illustrations. I’ve loved Snoopy since childhood myself and it’s wonderful to see the range and quality of the Peanuts brand continues – this would be a fantastic present for any child, helping them learn about the world around them and how to safely make the most of being a part of it.

As a lifelong fan of Peanuts, I was absolutely thrilled to dive into Snoopy's Guide to the Great Outdoors by Kristin Mehus-Roe. This book is an absolute gem that combines the charming wit of the Peanuts gang with practical outdoor knowledge. If you’re looking for a way to get kids excited about nature, this guide is a must-have!

The book takes readers on an adventurous journey alongside Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown, and the whole crew as they explore the great outdoors. It’s fun to see everyone's favorite beagle in his element as the leader of the Beagle Scouts, where readers can earn badges while learning essential outdoor skills. From mastering the art of building a campfire to understanding water safety and practicing “leave no trace” principles, this guide is packed full of valuable information.

What I loved most about this book is how it manages to be both informative and entertaining. Wow, this was so informative yet very cute!
The information in this for camping tips and warnings was absolutely so helpful, and adorable. The setup of the book was very helpful and I feel like it covered so many topics for camping that I would have never thought to think off!
From recipes, how-to’s, tips and tricks, everything was around the Peanuts lore and I loved the little hidden easter eggs!

Snoopy's Guide to the Great Outdoors is a comprehensive guide to camping and hiking - for the raw beginner.

While this is a predominantly North American guidebook (eg locations, medication names and emergency services numbers are tailored to the United States), there is incredibly useful information for campers and hikers across the globe - from equipment needed to fire safety to knot tying to animal encounters and what to do in an emergency. There are fun sctions about art and photography and forest bathing alongside camp cooking recipes and camp activities

( * Note: As an Australian, thre are sections that don't apply, and the section on foraging for food should be approached with caution - wild blackberries, for example, are often sprayed. Always refer to local guidebooks or knowledge about safe plants! )

This book incorporates many Peanuts characters and Shoopy's own Beagle Scout troop alongside the hiking and camping tips, and ends up being both a fun book and an informative read. My kids are Scouts, and this will be a great gift for them.
