It's been a minute since I have read a romance book because I'll be honest they haven't been my fav genre recently. Holiday Wedding however was a TREAT to read! This was so much more than just a holiday romance. I loved how perfectly the writing flowed and the hilarious banter between Dean & Jenny. Adding Dean to my list of "book boyfriends" as I am writing this. The grumpy-sunshine trope was everything
My fav part of this story was that it included a little bit of mystery which I'll be honest I was not expecting. It added another fun level to the story. The spice was an ideal amount. It wasn't overly cheesy. The holiday aspect wasn't giving "Hallmark Christmas" which I was thankful for. Sometimes those books can just be too cringy for me. I cannot wait to read book 3!!

Gwen

Gwen and Caleb are madly in love, so walking down the aisle should be as smooth as Santa sliding down the chimney on Christmas Eve, but when Jack Frost sends a blizzard, their Christmas cookies start to crumble. And the icing on the gingerbread house? There’s a stalker on the loose! This Holiday Wedding isn’t looking so holly jolly. It’ll take a Christmas miracle to get these two married.

Jenny

Jenny’s life is a lump of coal. Her career as a reporter has stalled, and her boss is grinch. Eager to leave LA, she dusts off her snow boots to spend a month in New York covering Caleb Lawson, fiancé of her best friend, Gwen. New York is merry and bright except for Dean, Caleb’s grumpy bodyguard. He put Jenny on the naughty list years ago. When these two reluctantly join forces to hunt down Caleb’s stalker, the hot cocoa starts steaming. But can this maid of honor and best man make it down the aisle before their newfound feelings turn frosty?

Holiday Wedding is a dual POV (Gwen and Jenny), swoon-inducing, page-turning, holiday romance. Read if you like enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, grumpy-sunshine, snowed in, one bed, found family, and pulse-pounding suspense.

aahhh i loved that book!!!!
this book is the perfect one for a cute holiday romance ;) i usually like to read some to make me i the christmas mood, but this one is by far my favourite so far!! the writing of this book is so good that it makes it so easy to read, the banter of the characters, but also the way they were human made me fall in love with them :)

the choice of writing of book is so different from what i'm used to read, we have 2 different pov, but not the 2 main characters, but 2 of the female characters, and so we get to discover 2 love stories at the same time. This was such a great idea, i really loved it!! it changes from the other pov we're used to read :)

as for the characters, their banter was so well represented, the pace of the book was the right one to me, and i LOVED Jenny. Her story was my favourite of the two :)

and even if i didn't read her previous book, it is fine to read it as a standalone! i didn't fell lost in the slightest!! honestly such a good read!!

thank you to the Publisher and Netgalley for providing me the arc copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

Overall Rating: 4 / 5
Spice: 3 / 5

This one was good yall! It was a light and easy read that I just could not put down! I read it all in just a few short hours.

I have read several books with dual POV but none like this…where we have two couples and get the POV of the two female characters in the relationships! This was different but it was very well done! This story really surprised me. I thought it was going to be a purely sweet, funny, cutesy, Christmas romance but we got so much more. In addition to the comedy, and romance, we got suspense and mystery, and lots of spice!

I loved Caleb and Gwen. They are two people who have worked very hard to get to where they are today, in terms of their careers, and in the story, we watch them trying to work through their love for one another and being there for each other, while still trying to maintain their individuality. Their struggles made them realistic and relatable in my view.

Though I enjoyed Caleb and Gwen, Jenny and Dean were my favorite couple! From their funny banter to them fighting their feelings for each other, it was all so good. I loved the way Dean made sure to let Jenny know just how beautiful she was when she had doubts about her body. And my favorite scene of all times was when he asked for her brothers’ addresses because they used to tease her about her weight when she was younger, and she still struggles with the way she sees herself as an adult because of the teasing. It was also great to see Dean open up to Jenny about his past as a soldier and how that still affects him to this day. Her patience and understanding in that situation was beautiful to see. I am so happy these two found each other and I really loved their story.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I recommend it to anyone looking for a Christmas romance with a little mystery and thriller that is sure to get you in the holiday spirit.

I enjoyed this bit to sum it up in one sentence it's, sweet, funny, but very predictable.

Gwen is a doctor engaged to famous Broadway star caleb. They are trying to hide the date of their upcoming wedding (Christmas Eve) from the public to keep it private. Jenny is gwens best friend and publicist who does not get on with celebs bodyguard Dean. It's about gwen trying to keep herself as a respected doctor and not calebs fiancé, and gwen is trying to prove to herself and others that she's more than a mistake she made years ago.

What I did love was the 2 povs was the fmc and her publicist. It was two running stories of their relationships that intertwine with each other. I liked this as you had two stories in the same plot instead of his and her pov. I definitely loved jenny's pov more even though they weren't the main couple

What I didn't love was I felt like the story was fluffed up in between events too much. And some things were thrown in that was either irrelevant or made no sense. Like the glasses. Also, the 'villan reveal' was a bit anticlimactic. I also don't feel like this was a 'Christmas book'.

A fun and cosy Christmas romcom. This had such fun and exciting characters and made a really great Christmas read to get you in the holiday spirit. I also loved the uniqueness of having two versions: an 'open door' version is you want spice and a 'closed door' version is you want a cleaner read.

This book picks up where the last book ended. It is most definitely not a stand alone. The book also follows two different couples. The first couple is Gwen and and Caleb from the first book. Gwen is a doctor and Caleb is a big movie star. I enjoyed that their story did not ignore the issues that affected them in. the first book but expanded on the difficulties of dating a famous person. The second couple is Jenny and Dean and honestly I could have done without this story. Jenny was not very likeable in the first book due to her gossping behavior which caused issues for Gwen and Caleb. Dean has a very gruff exterior which made their relationship not very enjoyable. I liked the suspense aspect of the story and the fact that this book comes with a clean and spicy version.

4.5 stars!

I loved Holiday Star by Dr. Melissa Dymond and this book was such a fun way to spend time with so many of my favorite characters from her first book! I would recommend reading Holiday Star before Holiday Wedding. I think Dr. Dymond writes her physician characters so well. As a woman in medicine myself, I find so much that I can relate to in Gwen. I also loved Jenny and Dean's romance. This book does have a bit of suspense in it and I would recommend checking trigger warnings before reading this book. I can't wait to read more books by Dr. Melissa Dymond!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC on this delightful Holiday Romance and I'm so thankful to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity.

I've loved all of Dr. Melissa Dymond's books and this one is no exception.

I adored getting to see Gwen and Caleb again. Seeing their relationship mature and grow is one of the best parts of the book!

Jenny and Dean's love story is delicious! Their banter, the grumpy x Sunshine, the 1 bed, I loved it all and was thrilled to see them get their HEA!

The sneaks of the next couple, Helen and Teddy, have me excited for Holiday Love and I can't wait to see more from Dr. Dymond!

Easily a 4.5 ⭐️ read for me! I love a good Christmas story - especially grumpy x sunshine! This was a quick read for me, and loved it so much!

This book is a delightful, heartwarming holiday romance with dual POVs that will sweep you off your feet! Following Gwen and Caleb’s wedding plans through blizzards and unexpected twists, this book delivers all the festive feels you could ask for. The added suspense thrown in adds some serious tension, but the romance between the characters is so sweet and swoon-worthy, especially with Gwen and Caleb's love being tested in wild ways.

Meanwhile, Jenny and Dean's grumpy-sunshine dynamic is irresistible! Their banter and reluctant teamwork make for a perfect enemies-to-lovers journey, and their forced proximity heats things up even more. The crazy ending took me by surprise—I didn’t see it coming at all, which made it all the more exciting! It’s a holiday read packed with love, laughs, and just enough spice to keep you hooked until the very last page. Perfect for fans of festive romances with a dash of suspense!

Thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the opportunity to receive the ARC.

This was an amazing holiday read!! I absolutely adored the characters in every way! This book is everything you need for a Christmas read, I loved the grumpy vs sunshine aspect to it! I loved the suspense in this book as well! It definitely kept me on my toes

This book has two versions; A spicy/open door version (which I read) and a sweet/clean/closed door version.
This book is part of a series, the first part is Holiday Star where we get into the story of Gwen and Caleb.

This book continues with the love story of Gwen and Caleb and the planning of their wedding. But we also get to see Jenny and Dean fall in love in a cute enemies-to-lovers/one bed love story. We get a double POV from Gwen and Jenny which make the stories more intriguing.
The banter in this book is amazing, it made me laugh out loud. It's so well written that I fell in love with the characters, their personalities really came through on each page.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for letting me read the arc to this book.

I adored Jenny and Dean, and now I need to read Holiday Star. Ugh, the author's writing is top-tier, and the slow burn is immaculate. There were so many swoon-worthy quotes, and this is a must-read for fans of Hallmark movies. It's the perfect winter read, so grab a cup of hot cocoa and a cozy blanket and curl up for the next few hours with this sweet and spicy read.

I love Gwen and Caleb, but I can’t wait to see what happens with Jenny and Dean!
Okay, back to Gwen and Caleb. I loved their story in Holiday Star, and loved that they have decided to get married. There are a lot of other things happening besides wedding planning, and it is all blended in so well. From the planning, to family relationships, a mystery stalker, the pressure of fame and trying to have a personal relationship, experiencing worry over a past addiction. Through all of this they never gave a second thought of whether they should marry or not.
Lastly, I love how Gwen doesn’t change her life now that she’s married to a celebrity. She is a doctor still working to help people, and she kept her name. Love it!! Which goes to show you when you fall in love with the right person, you’re dreams don’t have to fall to the side in order to fully love your partner.

Will post the week of 10/14/2024

I was thrilled when I was contacted by NetGalley and asked to read and review Holiday Wedding by Mellisa Dymond - Christmas themed books are my favourite!

I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it within 3 days! The dual point of view between two of the main Characters Gwen and Jenny was brilliantly designed and flowed so well!

I loved how all the characters come with the flaws and complexities - makes for such an interesting and intriguing storyline. This also makes them seem very real and like you will bump into them whilst out and about.

I adore Gwen and Caleb’s story but for me I was hooked on finding out more relating to Dean and Jenny! The tension, the banter, the memories - grumpy x sunshine couple, loved it!

I personally haven’t read Holiday Star - the prequel to Holiday Wedding however it is already on my tbr list. Being a new reader I was so impressed with how I could catch up on past events whilst reading, discussing characters pasts and how relationships have developed over time.

Finally is the holiday and Christmas theme - perfect for me as a mega holiday fan! It’s got me in festive spirits already and is a real cosy read for anyone wondering.

Thank you to Dr Melissa Dymond, Victory Editing and NetGalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Very excited for Holiday Love to be released as the next instalment to the series in 2025!

Holiday Wedding pulled me in withing the first page. I definitely plan on going back and reading Dr. Melissa Dymond's books. This book can be read as a standalone due to the fact that it gives enough background on previous characters that you don't feel like there is anything you are missing. I loved following both Gwen and her best friend Jenny as they both went through their separate romances. I was given the chance to read the spicy version but I love how there is a clean one as well. The spice was well written and didn't feel like it overtook the story.
