The perfect mix of romance, mystery, and Christmas spirit ❤️🎄

I’m usually not one for romance novels, but Dr. Melissa Dymond does such a good job of combining romance with just a touch of that thriller vibe 🤌🏻

I love dual POVs and this one was fun switching back and forth between the FMCs. We are already familiar with Gwen, so it’s easy to slip back into her perspective. But then we also get a spicy new POV with Jenny and I thought the balance between them was just right.

This book is a sequel to Holiday Star, and you definitely benefit from having read it with character backstories, but it works well as a stand alone too!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Dr. Melissa Dymond for this ARC!

What a GREAT holiday romance!

I was especially grateful that Dr. Melissa Dymond offers this book in both spicy/sweet & clean versions. I find this especially respectful to all kinds of readers and each individual person's likes.

The dual POV gave this story depth and I enjoyed both plot lines. The chemistry and banter was ON POINT!

What a great book to grab and cozy up with! Will definitely be reading more from this author!

I only made it a few chapters in but it just wasn't my vibe. I did enjoy how the author was very descriptive and the spice was definitely spicy. I'll probably try to give it another reread in a month or so to see if I have a different opinion!

Spicy holiday fun with a little thriller thrown in. Perfect for fans who are looking for a story about the holidays, weddings, or different points of view. Take a break from your holiday to-do list and enjoy this book with your favorite beverage.

I haven't read the first book in the series but I don't think it impacted on this story at all.

I would have preferred to a dual POV from Jenny and Dean's perspectives as opposed to Jenny and Gwen's as I was more invested in Jenny and Dean. Gwen already had her story and her happy ever after so it didn't seem necessary to then have more of it in this book as well.

I'm looking forward to book 3 with Helen and Teddy. I think it'll be a bit more distanced from Gwen and Caleb with them living in New York and Teddy in LA.

I think the story really only needed on disaster - either the snowstorm or the kidnapping alongside the stalker but it didn't really need both. It just felt like too much all at once after things progressing fairly steadily until that point. I think more should have happened with Jenny's boss (and ex) Eddie after they realised he'd stolen information from her phone.

It was a cute Christmas story though and the spice was a little on the lighter side for me personally, but for those that don't enjoy spice there is a closed door version as well.

Thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

Holiday Wedding is a great follow up to the characters we met in Holiday Star. Told through the POVs of Gwen and Jenny we get to enjoy 2 different stages of romance. The continuation of Gwen's romance with Caleb in the days leading to their Christmas Eve wedding and Jenny's developing romance with Caleb's bodyguard Dean.
It's not often with romance novels that you get to see what happens after the initial happy ending so I love that we get to see Gwen and Caleb develop further.
With a bit of spice and suspense the story had enough to keep me engaged to see what would happen to the characters next. I also love the foreshadowing for our next couple.

It had everything I love in a romance—great chemistry, engaging characters, and just the right amount of tension—without feeling too predictable. The added bit of suspense kept me hooked, and the spice was perfectly balanced. I had such a great time reading it and can't wait to check out more from this author!

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5 stars)

Holiday Wedding had all the right ingredients for a great holiday romance—grumpy-sunshine, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, and even a bit of suspense to shake things up. The dual POV gave us both Gwen’s wedding chaos (complete with a stalker—because why not?) and Jenny’s unexpected romance with Dean, the grumpy bodyguard who has been holding a grudge against her for years. Jenny and Dean totally stole the show for me. Their banter, tension, and chemistry were so good, and the “one bed” and “snowed in” tropes delivered exactly what I wanted.

That said, the way the story jumped between Gwen’s and Jenny’s perspectives felt a little disruptive. Just when I was getting into one couple’s story, it would switch, making it harder to stay fully invested in both. I also wished the balance between the romance and suspense was a little smoother—some parts felt rushed while others dragged a bit.

Even with those little issues, I still enjoyed this one. The holiday vibes were on point, and I love that the author offers both a spicy and sweet version so readers can choose what works for them. While this wasn’t a perfect read for me, I’d definitely pick up more from Dr. Melissa Dymond in the future. She’s got a great voice for romance, and I’m excited to see what she writes next!

Oh how happy I was to be reunited with Gwen and Caleb. I loved Holiday Star so I already knew I’d love this book too.

It draws you in right from the start, Melissa Dymond has such a natural and engaging flow to her writing. Loved the additional insight into Dean and Jenny as characters. The multiple POVs between 4 characters was refreshing and kept a level of intrigue.

There were some stories/side characters I felt that were not necessarily needed and distracted away a bit from the main plot line, potentially more attention could have been given to Jenny and Dean’s story if these were not included.

The final part of the book I was absolutely hooked, there was so much thrill and excitement I couldn’t put the book down.
This was a lovely, cheerful, Christmas themed romance and I’d definitely recommend. It is written as a standalone however I would suggest reading Holiday Star before this book as a lot more will make sense and will make the overall reading experience more enjoyable.

Holiday Wedding by Dr. Melissa Dymond is a wonderful read that fully transported me to snowy New York and showcased a delightful romance. The story revolves around two best friends. Gwen, a doctor, is ready to marry her boyfriend, who also happens to be a celebrity. Jenny, a reporter and Gwen’s best friend, undertakes the task of covering Caleb Lawson, Gwen’s fiancé. During this assignment, she crosses paths with Dean, Caleb’s bodyguard, who put Jenny on the "naughty list" years ago. Together, they work to uncover the identity of Caleb’s stalker.

This lovely romance, with a touch of suspense, made my reading experience much more enjoyable and unputdownable. The festive backdrop adds a cozy, heartwarming element to the story, making it the perfect winter read. The well-developed characters added depth and excitement to the story.

This book is perfect for fans of holiday-themed romances, especially those who enjoy a blend of heartwarming moments, festive settings, enemies-to-lovers dynamics, and a dash of mystery.

I love that this author wrote 2 versions to her story- one spicy, one sweet- she truly wants to make sure everyone can enjoy her books. While I like closed door romance, I prefer spicy books and this version was good! If you're looking for a cute holiday romance with spice, check this one out!

This is a cute holiday rom com. Gwen and Caleb are getting married on Christmas Eve but with a winter blizzard and a stalker will they still be able to do it? There is also a side story of Gwen’s best friend and Caleb’s body guard. This was a quick holiday read that I enjoyed.

Thank you Netgallery for allowing me to read this book in advance!

Holiday wedding was a cute little holiday romance—but for me, it lacked the little “sprinkle” of more that I like in my holiday books. I am one for Hallmark movies and romance books, but I sometimes find that they all kind of fall into the same setting, and this was one of them for me.

I found it hard to connect with the characters, mostly because I do not particularly like when books straight up begin with smut and do not flesh out the main protagonists beforehand. I am sometimes a little worried that smut scenes and sexual tension in modern romances tend to overlook most of the rest, and I have to admit that it sort of threw me off straight away. I love a good smutty book—but I love a good slow-burn storyline beforehand the most!

this book was however a nice read when it comes to the overall writing, and I was pleased to discover a whole new author with this ARC!

I haven’t read *Holiday Star* (book 1), and surprisingly, it didn’t hinder my enjoyment of this book at all. However, it has certainly sparked a desire to go back and experience the first book to fully appreciate the depth of the characters’ journeys.

In this story, Gwen and Caleb are finally on the path to their dream wedding after a tumultuous start. Though they’ve made great strides, both are still carrying personal burdens they hide from one another, all while trying to navigate the challenges that arise in their relationship. One thing after another threatens to derail their wedding plans, yet, not even a fierce blizzard can extinguish the strength of their love. The way they learn to open up to each other—accepting help from one another and those around them—is a valuable lesson, one I think we could all stand to learn more of.

While Gwen and Caleb’s love story is the heart of the book, we also get a beautiful bonus with Jenny and Dean’s own blossoming relationship. I absolutely adored them. My heart ached for both of them—Jenny, who struggles with feelings of inadequacy, and Dean, burdened by his trauma, survivor's guilt, and a profound lack of self-worth. While it's important to remember that we shouldn't measure our self-worth through others, the way these two helped each other realize that they were "enough" was incredibly moving. It’s a reminder that sometimes, we all need someone to reflect our worth back to us.

Their dynamic—grumpy/sunshine, frienemies-to-lovers—was delightful and I couldn’t get enough of them. Their growth, individually and as a couple, was one of the most touching parts of this book.

All in all, this story beautifully combines heartwarming romance, personal growth, and the importance of leaning on those who care about you. It’s a reminder of the power of love—both romantic and platonic—and how it can help us become the best version of ourselves.

To be honest, I had to really push myself through this one. From the start, it felt like there were just so many unnecessary details added to create depth, but instead, it came off as a bit overwhelming and sometimes even cringey. I found it hard to connect with the characters—Caleb and Gwen were cute in theory, but their interactions just didn’t land for me.

That said, I did enjoy getting to know Jenny and Dean a little better. Their backstories felt more grounded, and I liked seeing their romance develop in real time.

In the end, I just couldn’t gel with the overall story, and at about 40%, I decided to DNF. I think it’s more a case of me not being the right audience for this one. While it wasn’t for me, I’m sure others will appreciate its charm!

This as a quick fun holiday read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book. I loved the mystery/thriller aspect of this story. It really could fit several genres. Loved Gwen and Caleb but I think Jenny and Desn stole the story.
