This romance-meets-suspense novel drew me in completely. I haven’t read Holiday Star yet (that’ll change soon!), but I loved every page of this book.

Dr. Melissa Dymond’s dual POV storytelling brings a captivating rhythm to the story, allowing us to delve into Gwen’s perspective as her wedding to Caleb approaches. Both are on a journey of healing, working through past traumas—grief, struggles with addiction—and strengthening their bond. Their relationship is deeply heartfelt, evolving with an authenticity that’s both moving and inspiring as they grow individually and together.

Jenny and Dean’s storyline is another gem. I found myself drawn especially to Jenny; she’s strong yet battles low self-esteem due to past rejections, which makes her journey relatable. And Dean? Let’s just say I’m a huge fan! His loyalty and kindness shine, helping Jenny find confidence and happiness.

Dr. Dymond masterfully combines romance, suspense, and thoughtful reflections on healing and growth. It’s like reading a romance and self-discovery guide rolled into one, with characters who feel like real people navigating life’s ups and downs. Truly loved it!

This story has a great balance of romance and comedy with an underlying mystery/suspense plot line. Gwen, a doctor is about to marry her famous husband in a holiday wedding, Caleb, and enlists the help of her best friend, Jenny, to help plan things with the best man, Dean ((Caleb’s bodyguard). Told in dual PoV from Gwen and Jenny, all four characters and their respective relationships and troubles are well-developed and interwoven for a lighthearted, quick read. I need to go back and read Holiday Star, which features Gwen and Caleb’s burgeoning relationship, however, I had no issues following along with the characters and happenings in this book. The artwork at the end of some of the chapters was breathtaking, the bonus chapters and epilogues were fun too, and the fact that this book is offered in both open and closed door romance versions is so clever.

#Review: *Holiday Wedding* - Melissa Dymond - ARC [18+]
4.5/5✨
2.5/5🌶️

When I saw that an ARC for Melissa's new book is available on Netgalley, I went so fast to request it🤭. Melissa was even faster to approve me for this one and I cannot thank her enough for this opportunity🤗.

This book had a unique way in the way the chapters were divided. It was dual pov, but it was from the perspectives of the female main characters, Gwen and Jenn. This way, we could follow throughout the book their separate love stories, which I found super ingenious and different from anything I've read so far.

Gwen is a doctor and she will get married to a famous actor, Caleb, on Christmas Eve day. The story starts a couple of months before the event and follows the preparations for the wedding and some other life changing moments.

Besides Caleb stands Dean, who protects him 24/7, because there are some crazy fans stalking him. This will be a bigger problem than they've expected and it will complicate things a lot. Because Dean and Jenn keep spending time together, they form a sweet relationship, where Dean is the one with his walls raised really high. But who can resist the good vibes and the sunshine personality of Jenn? Definitely not Dean🤭.

I liked that this story touched multiple emotions, from joy, to fear, to not loving it's own persona (in Jenn's case), the uncertainty about future (because of Nate's famous status). Melissa's books are fun to read, but they always have that touch of reality check.

Calev and Gwen captured my heart last year so I was super excited to be able to continue their story with this book. One of the things I loved about this book was how it addresses the struggles of Gwen’s growing medical career and Caleb’s fame and the things that go along with it. I was pleasantly surprised about with this book was the addition of Jenny and Deans story. I absolutely love, love, love these two. Jenny is a character. I instantly connected with in the first book she’s bubbly and outgoing and really resonate with. Stock for military and I love how Jenn becomes the healing salve to his wounds. This book is definitely one to add to your list.

I love that you can get two versions of this story. It is a great Christmas read as the sweet or spicy version.

I enjoyed that this is told from Gwen and Jenny’s POV. Gwen is getting married to Caleb. Jenny and Dean are falling for each other. Jenny is Gwen best friend. Dean is sent with Gwen on a business trip since there is a stalker threatening Caleb. I tried to follow the clues about the identity of the stalker and was shocked when it was revealed.

Second in the series and I love the dual POV between Gwen and Jenny. As they gear up for Gwen and Caleb’s wedding, Jenny and bodyguard Dean team up to find out who is Caleb’s stalker. I think it was so well written with this unique dual POV between two FMC - I love it’s a story focused on two couples, building right from the last book!

4.5 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the E-ARC. This book is part of a duet you have to read Holiday Star to know whats up. Ive had Holiday Star on my TBR so when I got the ARC for this one I quickly read it and then dove right into Holiday Wedding. This book was the ending I didnt know I needed. I choose to read the spicy version but I love that it also has a clean version so you get to experience the wonderful story of Caleb and Gwen however youd like. This story also has another story going of of Gwen's best friend Jenny and I was living for it. The author gave me the two genres that I love in once thriller and romance because there is some light drama that goes on and it just makes the story that much more fun. I also love that the author gives the MMC point of view on certain events as well. Cant wait to read more from Dr. Melissa Dymond.

I absolutely adored this follow up to the Holiday Star the forced proximity romance for Gwen and Caleb. Their story still remains one of my favorites. Melissa Dymond has become an auto-buy for me and I’m excited for her next book, Holiday Love.

Everyone is planning the exciting Christmas wedding for Gwen and Caleb, which introduces us into the endless bickering and bantering of Jenny and Dean. Jenny is Gwen’s best friend and Dean is Caleb’s bodyguard. I loved their story of grumpy Dean and sunshine Jenny. I also enjoyed the rest of the supporting characters.

For those that do not know, this author makes two versions of her books to ensure everyone is happy with the content, but I prefer the spicy version. I also really enjoy that she donates 10% of her proceeds to colon cancer research.

A special thank you to Melissa Dymond and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for an advanced copy of the book. I thoroughly enjoyed and probably would have finished it in one sitting if I had the time.

Thank you Netgalley for my ARC copy.

I absolutely adored this book in the end, It took twists and turns I didn't expect it to but was still a quick festive read. I really liked the way this was written and I really hope we get a book that follows Jenny, she was such a relatable character. Can't wait for the Next book to come out. I will 100% be recommending this book.

This book was a pleasant surprise. I went into this blind (not reading book one) and had a blast.

We get two love stories here instead of just one and I think the author did a great job balancing both. All the couples had great chemistry. I also liked the suspense storyline a lot. I think it added a bit of mystery and kept the plot entertaining.

A fun holiday romance !

5 Stars!

I loved every inch of this book. I read it in one day because I could not put it down. It had the perfect amount of romance, banter, angst and mystery. I knew I was going to love it because I loved the first book in the series. I loved how Melissa has put QR codes in the book to receive bonus chapters along the way as well as the pictures included. It was such an immersive reading experience and I ATE IT UP! The chapters are short and the story moves along quickly which I appreciate so much as a reader. Her Writing style is so good. Watch out for this author because I predict we will be seeing a lot more of her.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dr. Melissa Dymond for the opportunity to read this book.

I’ve been wanting to read one of Melissa Dymond’s Holiday books for ages and I always enjoy holiday romances so I was excited to read holiday wedding!

Caleb & Gwen are so cute as well as Dean & Jenny. I loved that the author went into some of the backstory of what happened in book one Holiday Star so if you hadn’t read that one you aren’t totally at a loss going into book 2. Caleb and Gwen are about to get married in less than two weeks and Gwen is going back home to spend some last minute time with her family before going to a medical conference to speak before the big day, we have a snowstorm and a stalker threatening their big day. Dean and Jenny happen to be the bride and grooms best friends, Dean is Caleb’s bodyguard. Jenny is Gwen’s best friend Journalist who Dean has a dislike for due to a situation that happened in book one I won’t spoil it for you. But GrumpyxSunshine, forced proximity add in suspense and a stalker and this book takes you on a whirlwind of plot, spice and falling in love, many laugh out loud moments as well. I really enjoyed the characters, the plot line and all the “ fun” in between.
The dynamics of the different characters was so interesting to read about especially Dean and Jenny that whit, banter and tension was chefs kiss! And The Stalker Situation, I was like okay it’s totally this person, but then *boom suprise*

Thank you so much to the author Dr.Melissa Dymond & NetGalley for this ARC! I highly recommend you read this holiday romance!

|Thoughts|
This holiday romcom follows two love stories, where we get the PoV of each of the FMC, best friends Gwen and Jenny.

I hadn’t read book 1 in the Holiday Romance series, which establishes the romance between Dr Gwen & celebrity Caleb. However, I was still able to enjoy this story as a stand alone and do plan to go back and read Holiday Star.

“There’s no world where we aren’t end game”

Gwen & Caleb:
We jump straight into their romance (literally) and just really wanted these two to have a happy ending. Really felt their love even though I hadn’t read book 1. Found some of Gwen’s issues a little childish (poor you, behind upgraded to first class. Life is just so tough some times).

“I’ll be there. I’d wait for you for a million years and then a million more.”

Jenny & Dean:
Can’t go past a good bodyguard romance and this also throws in some forced proximity/ one bed trope that is just tops tier.
Found myself more interested in this storyline as it had the added benefit of some suspense.

Overall, was a fun read and had some nice nods to Christmas.

Holiday Wedding by Melissa Dymond

At first, I was a little apprehensive about a sequel to Holiday Star continuing Gwen and Caleb’s story. However, Holiday Wedding is both a (Christmas) romance and a mystery, told not only from Gwen’s perspective but also from her best friend Jenny’s POV. Jenny’s story centers around her frenemy Dean and their efforts to foil a stalker before the upcoming wedding is ruined—all while fighting their mutual attraction.

You’ll find several popular tropes here:

Celebrity romance
• (Fr)enemies to lovers
• Snowed in
• Forced proximity
• Only one bed
• Grumpy vs. sunshine

Holiday Wedding is a little predictable and isn’t a new favorite for me, as most of the chapters from Gwen’s POV felt like an overly extended epilogue. Nevertheless, as in all her books, Dymond delivers passages filled with deep, meaningful, and heartfelt interactions between her characters. In this book, it’s the vulnerable conversations between Jenny and Dean about their fears and insecurities that steal the show, particularly Dean’s heart-wrenching confessions about his experiences in military service and subsequent PTSD.

If you enjoy a good holiday romance and loved Holiday Star, you’ll definitely want to read this one too.

Many thanks to NetGalley and publisher for providing an ARC.

I jumped right into this after finishing Holiday Star. This was a very fun mix of stories. It was a continuation of Caleb and Gwen’s story as they plan their holiday wedding while still navigating the challenges of paparazzi and Gwen being second-hand famous.

At the same time, we also follow Dean and Jenny as they deal with being around each other so much for their friends. Jenny is a bubbly personality and enjoys spending her time as a journalist and doing goat yoga. Dean is a quiet, serious bodyguard for Caleb.

Now that there’s an escalated stalker threat- they have to work together to ensure the wedding is perfect for their friends. It’s hilarious, it’s sweet, it’s romantic. And it doesn’t hurt that a massive snowstorm makes them spend unexpected time together! I loved the true Dual POV here between Gwen and Jenny in different settings. And also, a bonus chapter of Dean’s!

*This and Holiday Star come as either Open Door + Spice or a Closed Door version. Choose whichever you prefer. I, but of course, am reviewing Open Door.
