December 10 - New York City
Caleb Lawson is an actor, singer, and all-round wealthy man. His fans are huge and they love him so much. Everywhere he goes, he is mobbed by fans. Caleb is engaged to Dr. Gwen Wright, an ER doctor who works many hours. They are getting married on Christmas Eve and are so excited and so in love.
Before the wedding, Gwen is heading to Los Angeles to speak at a conference about her research on cancer. She hates to be away but Caleb’s mother and others have the wedding plans well in hand, so Caleb convinces her that she needs to go and share her work with her peers. Caleb has his own plane but Gwen insists that she wants to fly coach. But he does send a bodyguard with her along with her good friend.
In the meantime, Caleb is meeting with some of his fans and his main bodyguard, Dean, sticks close to him. Dean will also be Caleb’s best man. Gwen’s best friend, Jenny, is going to be her maid of honor. Jenny works as a reporter and is also doing an interview with Caleb and his mother, Marjorie. Dean and Jenny tend to clash, but when Jenny learns that Caleb has a stalker that they have been unable to track down, things become quite worrisome all around.
This is the first book I have read by this author. The storyline is quite spicy so if you like that, this book is for you. The love portrayed by Caleb and Gwen is true and sweet. But it’s Jenny and Dean’s attraction to one another that is the scene stealer. Some funny events but some very scary ones as well. Saying this is a truly romantic read is pretty spot-on. Enjoy!

This book was not for me. I found it very predictable, and the characters so unrealistic.
I guessed all the major plot points long before they actually happened.
I found the things the main character doctor didn't know about basic biology laughable.
And the a-list celebrity, broadway actor, and restauranteur? While I like my book boyfriends to be exceptional he came off as completely unreal in not the best way.
Also, I found the images between the chapters to be jarring and detract from the reading experience.
Holiday Wedding by Melissa Dymond is a heartwarming and beautifully layered holiday romance that captures the spirit of friendship and love. With two intertwined love stories, both connected through deep friendships, Dymond crafts a tale that feels both intimate and festive. The characters are endearing, and their relationships bring out the warmth and magic of the holiday season.
The story builds at a perfect pace, pulling readers in with gentle charm before delivering a dramatic, emotional twist toward the end that had me on the edge of my seat. Dymond balances lighthearted romance with just the right amount of drama, making this an unforgettable holiday read.
This story features two couples, Gwen and Caleb who are madly in love and looking forward to their wedding and Jenny and Dean who are not a couple, just yet. Jenny is Gwen’s best friend but also a reporter who is covering Caleb, a famous musician. Dean is Caleb’s bodyguard who is trying to uncover the stalker who is sending Caleb some interesting hate/love messages. As Jenny and Dean work to uncover the person behind the threats, Gwen and Caleb struggle to overcome their insecurities as their special day grows closer.
I loved the dual POV between the two couples but must admit to enjoying that of Gwen and Caleb more so. There was so much action going on that I finished this book very quickly. With plenty of romance and unguarded moments, that I found myself racing to the end in the hope that all would be resolved smoothly for both couples.
This book I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Review:
Holiday Wedding by Dr. Melissa Dymond is a festive treat packed with heartwarming romance, suspense, and the perfect sprinkle of humor!
As Gwen and Caleb prepare for their winter wedding, they face some unexpected, and intense obstacles, from snowstorms to a suspenseful stalker subplot that keeps readers on their toes. Yet, what truly shines in this sequel is the parallel love story of Jenny and Dean. Their grumpy x sunshine dynamic, witty banter, and undeniable chemistry bring extra spark, especially for fans of the enemies to lovers trope.
Dr. Dymond’s dual POV storytelling is expertly handled, allowing readers to see both Gwen and Jenny’s perspectives as they navigate love and career in contrasting ways. While Gwen and Caleb’s romance explores the challenges of planning a wedding under public scrutiny, Jenny and Dean’s enemies to lovers journey adds depth and humor, especially as they’re forced to team up in the holiday chaos.
Though this is the second book in the series, it stands well on its own, with just enough background to catch up new readers. With an optional sweet or spicy version, Holiday Wedding is a charming, winter-perfect romance that balances the heart with a bit of heat!
I loved this book! I ate this up in 2 days! Caleb and Gwen were perfect in this story, and I loved all the side characters as well. I loved getting to know them more and see their wedding finally take place. The love between them was special, and you could see that throughout their whole story. The twists and turns in this book kept me intrigued. I was never bored, and I thought the spice was the perfect mix! The plot was so good and has really started to get me in the Christmas spirit.
I also loved that we got to see Jenny and Dean fall in love. Their story was so good and I loved the banter and angst between them. The way they overcame traumas and leaned on each other is what really drew me to them!
This was my first book by Melissa and won't be my last! I can't wait for Dean and Jenny's book! Thank you to Net Galley for allowing me to read this as an ARC!
Thank you to Dr. Melissa Dymond, NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
This was the PERFECT holiday rom-com/ suspense book! I loved that the dual POV was between two best friends, not the FMC and MMC that we usually get in a dual POV. This made it feel like we got two books in one!
The dynamics between characters was amazing! They had real conversations and reactions to hard conversations that we often don't see in books. I did not read the first in the series (holiday star) but the author did such a great job with the character development that I didn't even realize I was reading the second book in the series until I read other reviews from other readers! I will defintely be going back to read it to get Gwen and Caleb "origin story".
Definitely worth a read this holiday season!
I feel like there was so much going on, but also nothing going on at the same time?
Holiday Wedding is marketed as a romance, but it really is a combination of spice, suspense and basically just tag tropes. It didn’t feel like there was much romance imo. When you got the “romance” side of the plot - it was just semi cringeworthy spice scenes, but not a ton of real build up.
The first 40ISH% of the book, i was really bored. I kept putting it down and picking it back up later because I just couldn’t get into the plot, the characters or just the book in any way. I couldn’t figure out what was even happening cuz it felt like a lot of “busy work” writing the first half and not much plot.
The second half of the book was a lot better in my opinion. Some aspects were cringy or not my favorite but the suspense aspect of the kidnapping etc. was intriguing and kept me wanting to read more. I feel like once she was rescued and they got married the story should have ended though.
It has surprise pregnancy trope as well, it doesn’t bother me much, but it quite predictable throughout.
Overall, it wasn’t BAD but it also wasn’t my favorite at all. If you enjoyed this book, i am so happy for you and i love that, it just wasn’t for me & that’s why reading is the best because it is subjective!
This book is everything you could ever want in a holiday romance. It's full of humor, charm, and all the warm fuzzies of a Hallmark romance. However, it also has so much more to offer than that. It deals with serious issues such as PTSD from time in the military and stalking. It has couples who have realistic disagreements and can grow closer together because of it. It addresses the many struggles that arise when two people come together as a married couple. I am genuinely struggling to put into words how much heart there was in this book. I would recommend it to every single romance reader I know.
Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley and Dr. Melissa Dyamond for my advanced copy. These are my thoughts:
This was a fun romantic suspense romcom. The story is told in a dual POV, but by best friends - Gwen and Jenny, giving the reader a 2-for-1 romance story. This was a soft suspense romance, but when the culprit was found, my adrenaline rushed a little and I did not guess who the stalker was!
The story revolves around the two weeks leading up to Dr. Gwen and her famous actor fiancé - Caleb’s Christmas wedding.
While Gwen and Caleb’s relationship is tested; her best friend and journalist - Jenny, finds herself in a romantic conundrum with Caleb’s bodyguard - Dean.
While Gwen is away for a medical conference in Los Angeles, she will find that being married to a famous star might not be as easy as she thought. Add a blizzard, delayed flight and a stalker that seems impossible to find, will love conquer all for Gwen and Caleb by Christmas?
Meanwhile, in New York City, Jenny must find a way to get along with Dean and together catch the stalker before the big day. Add a blizzard to this already hot and cold relationship, and secrets and insecurities will come to the surface, but will it bring Jenny and Dean together or will they drift apart?
This was a sweet story, where insecurities are exposed; relationships are tested and characters stand up for what they want.
I loved that it was set in wintery New York City and it’s a nice read to get you into the holiday spirit.
Holiday Wedding can be found in two versions - sweet (no spice) & spicy.
This was an addicting read! I haven't read the first book, but there's enough exposition that I was able to catch up pretty quickly with the context clues. I adored the different view points, and the different couples. I was on the edge of my seat at times, questioning myself to whom the suspected villain could be. I was so surprised! I felt like the author knew exactly what she was doing with certain characters. This book had it all - charm, spice, and speed. I was able to devour the storyline and still connect to the characters on an emotional level.
I loved this story!!!!! Gwen and Caleb are adorably in love and I love seeing them as a cute couple, and a badass couple! and then Jenny and Dean are sooooo hot & spicy with each other, it’s like getting the best of both worlds between both these couples!!! I loved the dual pov from the women, the suspenseful tracking down of a stalker, the wedding shenanigans on top of all of this, this story just pulled me right in.
I love a good suspenseful romance, & this one is the whole treat! thank you for the arc!!!!
🩶Thank you Melissa Dymond and Haling Bookstorm, for this e-arc. I am leaving this honest review voluntarily. 🩶
I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday read. It has fun banter, lots of holiday cheer, and even a little mystery. One of the things I love most about Melissa's books is the fact that she has both a spicy and sweet version available, so if you don't want the spice you can opt for the sweet version.
This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. I haven't read the first book yet, and was still able to keep up with the storyline. I loved that you got not one, but two love stories simultaneously and it was told from multiple points of view. Jenny and Dean's story was my favorite. It was sweet and fun with a little spice.
If you like grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lover, snowed in, and forced proximity you will enjoy this book. I look forward to reading the first book in the series next. If you are looking for a fun, light read that will help put you in the holiday spirit this book is for you.
I enjoyed reading Holiday Wedding by Dr. Melissa Dymond. You will fall in love with all the characters. I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely. Happy Reading!
I am honored that this was my first NetGalley book to review. I really enjoyed the Dual POV and learning of Gwen, Caleb, Jenny and Dean! Wasn't over the top holiday and I enjoyed it so much.
⭐ Dual POV
⭐ Medical Holiday Romance / Thriller
⭐ One Bed
⭐ Forced proximity
⭐ Enemies to Lovers
⭐ Grumpy-Sunshine
⭐ Snowed-In
A fantastic story with a perfect feel-good factor from the author who lets you choose if you want your romance sweet or spicy. Since my personal opinion is the more heat the better, you can guess which version I opted for. Continuing the story of a hero and heroine introduced in Holiday Star, Holiday Wedding finds Caleb and Gwen on the brink of wedded bliss but everything and everyone appears to be conspiring against them and their upcoming nuptials. From the bride, Gwen attending a medical conference on the other side of the country only days before saying I do to groom, Hollywood star Caleb attracting a stalker, even the weather isn’t on their side with a massive snowstorm grounding all flights into New York, anything that could go wrong does. Throw in Caleb’s battles with alcohol addiction and his fears of relapsing and Gwen’s fear of losing her identity, will love and determination be enough to get them up the aisle?
With Holiday Wedding readers get not one but two romances as Gwen’s best friend Jenny falls for bodyguard Dean who is reluctant to trust the journalist after she’d previously let slip something about Caleb, bringing an enemies to lovers’ trope to the book but they find common ground as they work together to make sure the big day goes smoothly. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this story considering Caleb and Gwen actually spend very little time together with a lot of their communication done via phone calls. Told from various points of view, there was a great flow to the writing with likeable and grounded characters and I enjoyed the hint of mystery with the stalker element and no, I didn’t figure out who the culprit was but overall this book was a great read for a rainy afternoon.
A spicy swoon worthy Christmas romance that is not a typical romance. Dr. Melissa Dimond does it again with a romantic suspense novel that entices the reader to keep reading.

Thank you to NetGalley for sending me a copy to read.
This is the second book in the Holiday romance series but can be read as a stand alone.
This is the perfect holiday book to start the season off right! A perfect mix of romance, mystery, suspense and holiday magic.
Dr Melissa Dymond has done it again with another amazing book that had me captivated from the very first page. I loved the multiple POVs and how we got to see two different love stories.
I absolutely loved Gwen and watching her continue to fall in love with Caleb. While also see her navigating second hand famous. While Jenny her best friend was perfect! The banter between Jenny and Dean was chef kiss perfect!
I highly recommend this book for the Christmas season!
Super cute read! I really enjoyed this book & the 4 main characters Gwen, Caleb, Jenny, & Dean. I also enjoyed that this book had a Christmas setting but wasn’t too Christmas-y - the perfect read to get into the holiday season.
Holiday Wedding Tropes:
- Enemies to lovers
- One bed (!!)
- Grumpy / Sunshine
- He falls first
- Good Girl
- Snowed in
- Forced proximity
- Found family
- Soulmates
Huge thank you to Dr Melissa Dymond, Victory Editing, & NetGalley for this ARC!
This was super cute! I love romantic suspense & this was a good one. Although it could have done with some more suspense!
This is book #2 of the authors Holiday Romance series & could easily be read as a standalone, like i did. I loved the tropes:
•One bed
•Enemies to lovers
•Movie star romance
•Body guard romance
Yes, this story took place during Christmas time it wasn’t much a Christmas story, which I didn’t mind at all.
