This book alternates between two time points: “last night” and “this morning.” A bachelorette party gone wrong leaves the attendees with no memory, a missing girl, and a mess to clean up. From the beginning, it’s clear that Miles, who is described as overpowering in the relationship, is the main antagonist. The entire bachelorette trip turns out to be an orchestrated experience where the girls are gaslighted into believing specific events happened when they didn’t—all masterminded by Miles. I wasn’t a fan of this book.

This started well, a group of women enjoying a few days in Vegas.
It then started getting a little tedious, same comments repeated over and over, endless descriptions of bars and VIP passes.
When one of the group just vanishes why wouldn't they just ring the police?
I had to finish just to see the outcome but by then i was just irritated.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
Not great for me.

This story reminded me a lot of The Hangover from the start. It’s a story about a group of girl friends who go to Vegas for a bachelorette party and the ultimate Vegas experience. It was planned to be a night they would never forget… It is well written and the perfect amount of mystery, suspense, and twists. I was sucked in from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!

I would give this 10 stars if I could! I love the movie Hangover, and this is a genius way to portray it in a thriller! Five friends on a bachelorette weekend in Vegas. What could go wrong? This was a fast paced, intriguing story. The characters and setting are described so vividly, I felt like I was right there in Vegas with them, trying to piece together what happened. Loved the storyline about their friendship and all it entails. This is a must read, you should rush to pre-order this now! Release date October 25th. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this

Thank you BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for an early copy of Waking Up In Vegas. The title got me, sounded like it could be similar to The Hangover movie. Started out very good, got weird and very unbelievable. Jess was a bit much, thinking who she was at moments and how many times was she going to say how happy she was being with her best friends, WE GOT IT THE FIRST TEN TIMES!!!! I did like reading both time lines simultaneously, that was the best part of the book. All in All a 3 star.

Thanks to the author for this arc. First of all this definitely gives The Hangover vibes right from the beginning. Rachel is painted to be Jess’s best friend who is the one who arranged the bachelorette party for her. Rachel is very suspicious and acts weird on both timelines, past and present. The past is the night before when they party so hard they end up getting into a lot of problems the next following day. Rachel is “missing” and the girls try to find her. There are some pretty good twists but it isn’t like gone girl to me at all really. I wanted more thrilling but it was pretty crazy at the ending like dang. I recommend, this was a fun read. I just wish I was a bit more twisty and crazy.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

Jess and 4 of her friends head to Vegas for her bachelorette party. A wild and glam night awaits. Then they wake up and things have gone wrong, and Rachel is missing without trace. With no memory of the night can they find her?

The story is told reliving events of the night, alternating with the morning after. It’s exciting and glamorous and the ending completely unexpected. I enjoyed the friend ship of the girls and could imagine being on the night out. This was a good read and kept me hooked until the last pages!

This was a pretty good book! It was about a bachelorette trip in Vegas with the bride and her 4 friends and we get lots of secrets and mystery while they’re on the trip. It becomes a mysterious story where you don’t know who you can trust or what is about to happen. I think it was entertaining!!

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for an honest review!!

Thank you for the opportunity to read this arc.

Friends go to Vegas to celebrate Jess getting married. What started as a normal bachellorette party weekend goes into more mystery and intrigue. The characters try to figure out how they got in the situation. I found the ending quite strange but perhaps that was what the author intended.

Waking Up in Vegas is a frivolous novel detailing the adventures/misadventures of five girls going to Las Vegas for a bachelorette weekend to celebrate the upcoming marriage of one of the friends. Despite their friendship, this is a disparate group of women and the tale is not wholly believable. I will be state that it is compulsory to continue reading to uncover what actually happened during this “girls” weekend celebration and I thank NetGalley and Little Fox Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book prior to publication.

Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this Advanced Reader’s Copy of Waking Up in Vegas by J.E. Rowney due to be published October 25, 2024.
Jess is always the responsible one. But for her bachelorette Vegas party, she is ready to “let loose” with her four best friends. When Jess wakes up in a bathtub full of ice, she knows something is terribly wrong. Her maid of honor is missing, and the other girls are scattered in disarray. What happened last night? The girls will have to reevaluate last night and possibly their lives.
Waking Up in Vegas alternates chapters with the morning the girls wake up and the night before – trying to figure out how they got in this mess. I couldn’t get through it fast enough to see what happened as each chapter led to the next one and left you hanging! The end was not at all what I expected, either – a very unusual plotline, but a satisfying book!
