This book was so confusing. I was expecting a cute billionaire romance, but why were there kingdoms and princes involved? It seemed very out of place: royal weddings and a coffee shop barista??

This book is part of the Cinnamon Roll and pumpkin spice series but can be read as a standalone.
This was a nice fall, cozy romance in a small town. Fenella leaves to town after a public break up to a small town and meets Silas where they become friends to lovers.

I loved it!! I could not put it down!! I really hope we get Ashton’s story, too! I already read all of the Love in Laandia books and getting this on was an unexpected surprise. I can’t wait for more stories from Laandia!!

I enjoyed Fenella and Silas's story! Two opposites who have a spark of chemistry that draws them together even though they both have some hesitancy on starting a relationship. But the more they come to know each other, the more they fall.
They were both great characters and I loved watching them bring their strengths and weaknesses together to help and lift each other. They both grew and it was a refreshing story seeing them not have drama in their relationship. Two adults who talked and just wanted to help those around them.
It was a sweet love story that unfolded. And I loved their sweet friendship that built into more. They trusted each other and that created a great foundation for a sweet love to grow between them. And for them to let go of hurts from their pasts and to let real love help them know who they were as individuals and as a couple.
Content: Nothing more than kisses. There is mention of alcohol as there are a couple of scenes at a bar and at a night club.
I received a copy from the publisher, Three Birds Press, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Happy Reading!!!

This book was just what I wanted! It is a closed door friends to lovers set in the fall! The romance was so cute!

Rating: 3/5
Spice: 0/5
Primary Genre: Billionaire Romance/RomCom
Trigger Warnings: Alcohol use, bad parenting
Plot 3/5:
Billionaire heiress Fenella needs to go into hiding after her most recent, very public break up with her cheating ex. Where to? Her other ex’s (who’s a prince, by the way) remote town! Well, technically it’s a whole country. Fenella can’t get enough of the local coffee shop, Coffee For the Sole, and her pumpkin spice lattes. She also becomes interesting in the coffee shop owner, Silas, once she realizes there’s more to him than coffee beans.
Tropes:
• cinnamon roll hero
• friends-to-lovers
• small town
• opposites attract
The Good:
* If you love a small town vibe, you’ll be obsessed with Battle Harbor.
* The LGBTQ+ character representation was great to see. I honestly wasn’t expecting it, it was refreshing.
* I loved the fall setting of the book, it’s a great vibe for an October read.
The Meh:
* While I didn’t dislike the ending, it did feel a little bit rushed to me.
* The slow burn was so slow that this almost felt like women’s fiction. It doesn’t detract from the story but as I was nearing the end of the book I was left wondering when something would happen between the MC’s.
Bottom Line:
This is a sweet, light hearted fall/Halloween romance. I would pick this up if you’re in the mood for a cozy fall setting and a closed door, slow burn romance. The cast of characters are quirky and lovable, the small town has a funky Viking vibe, and there’s royals with a castle. What’s not to love?

1⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and Three Birds Press for an advanced copy of Coffee Break With The Billionaire.
Fenella has just had a very public break up which would normally not be a big deal but she is a billionaire and is getting bad press. She goes to hide out and lay low and meets Silas. She falls for him but knows she will break his heart.
This book was so childish. It should be listed as young adult. All of the characters were so immature and spoiled. It was hard to even get through the book.

3.5 ⭐️
Cute and fun read!
It gives a nice twist on the grumpy billionaire trope by making the billionaire a smart but a bit spoiled FMC (Fenella) and gives us a cinnamon roll MMC (Silas).
Fenalle finds herself in exile from her home and family due to a delicate social media incident and is forced to go to a small town where Silas works at the local coffee shop. Even though they couldn't be anymore different sparks fly and the will they won't they begins.
I personally enjoyed the story though Fenella was a bit of a miss for me at some parts but overall a cozy cute read.

This book can be read as a standalone, however several of the characters and the location overlap into other books/ series by Holly Kerr. Her family's money and connections put her in the public eye. Unfortunately it causes problems when her emotions control her actions. Forced to lay low, she chooses the country that she has the highest of connections. Royal connections.
He owns the coffee shop in town. Having been burned before by love he's hesitant to open himself up to love again. What do they have in common? When it comes time for her to leave will she?.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Coffee Break with the Billionaire is a nice escape from reality.
While I liked the story, there was something that I just couldn’t quite get behind with the main characters.

Fennella and Silas are from different worlds. She is an influencer and daughter to a billionaire and he has a coffee shop. They become friends first and spend a lot of time together.
The book is a sweet, cozy, closed door romance with a very slow burn. The ending felt a bit rushed and I would have liked to have more of them together.
The book is part of the multi-author “Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice” series but also a spinoff to the “Love in Laandia” series by the same author.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley and Three Birds Press. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book had a great plot with intriguing characters. I’ll definitely be looking out for more from this author.

Coffee Break with the Billionaire is a cozy, heartwarming romance that delivers all the fall vibes! As the seventh installment in the Cinnamon Rolls & Pumpkin Spice series, this book works perfectly as a standalone, but longtime readers will appreciate the familiar characters and charm that the series is known for.
Fenella, a billionaire influencer, is sent to the quiet Canadian countryside after a very public breakup with her cheating rockstar fiancé. Here, she reconnects with Silas, a small-town coffee shop owner who is as kind and steady as they come. Despite their different worlds, sparks fly, but Silas wonders if he could ever fit into Fenella's high-profile life.
I loved watching Fenella's transformation throughout the story. She begins as the classic "spoiled rich girl" but slowly grows into someone who appreciates the beauty of a simpler, quieter life. Silas, on the other hand, is the perfect "golden retriever" hero—a sweet and grounded guy who shows Fenella what life could be like if she embraced small-town living. Their slow-burn romance is full of sweet, tender moments, from pumpkin carving to stargazing, and the emphasis on small joys was heartwarming.
This is a closed-door romance, but the chemistry between Fenella and Silas was undeniable, and I found myself rooting for them throughout. The book is a fast, cozy read, perfect for fall and anyone who loves an endearing, clean romance.
Thank you to NetGalley, Holly Kerr, and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this delightful book. All opinions are my own.

After catching her rockstar fiancé with another woman Fenella makes a scene in their breakup and is sent into hiding, from the paparazzi. She goes to the island her ex and good friend are royalty of. She falls in love in the process, with a local business owner, with the island, and with herself. This book takes you on a journey of self-healing and overcoming past traumas. Silas the MMC is the definition of a cinnamon roll guy, not just because he sells them. This book is modern day, and uses a bit of modern terminology, which I enjoyed!
This was a soft and fluffy, quick read. Perfect for a mood reader, or someone looking for a slow burn happy ending.

This book was so sweet. Based in Laandia (many characters from the Love in Laandia series) and a part of a multi author series known as Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin spice series it should appeal to many.
Fenella is a “billionaire brat” that is famous for being wealthy. Silas is a small town guy who is sweet to the core. It is adorable to see Fenella learn and grow through the book. Although there is no spice the book keeps you engaged and rooting for them to make it.
Can certainly be read as a stand alone.

I would give this five stars if it wasn't for the incessant billionaire rubbish and use of 'purple eyes' - no one has purple eyes!! but other than that, Silas has my heart, the pacing was great and the writing was good, this is a perfect fall/autumn read

I've never read a Holly Kerr book before but let me tell you ... I am obsessed!!! This was such a quick read that I did not want to put down. I loved the cozy fall vibes, sweet moments, and just how lighthearted this book was.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc!!!

Coffee Break with the Billionaire: Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice by Holly Kerr is an adorably cute romcom that captures the charm of fall romance. While the story is sweet and enjoyable, it does have its cringy moments that can make you cringe a bit, especially with its heavy use of pop culture references that give off strong TikTok vibes. Some readers might find these references distracting or off-putting, but I personally found them fun and fitting for the lighthearted tone of the story. Overall, it’s a very fun quick read where you really don’t have to think too deeply about things

Unfortunately DNF on this one after 43%. I had a really hard time to get into this book. The story didn't capture me at all. Didn't like the characters either. I just couldn't get further with reading it...
