The last book in this series and I really enjoyed it (although I’m sad it’s over!). This is a long read (circa. 700 pages) and while I did feel there were scenes that weren’t 100% necessary and could’ve been done without, it was overall a great read and final instalment. Definitely recommend
I have loved reading this series! I can't believe it's over and everything has come to an end. It's been incredible reading about all of these amazing characters' growth! the love, the relationships, the found family is jut beautiful!
this series is the perfect mix of fantasy and romance🤌🏼 I really like how everything was wrapped up in the end after 4 amazing books <3
I love how strong and fierce Lor is. She will go to any lenght to protect her loved ones🫶🏼
the only critique I have is I felt like this book was a bit long. Idk if that's because I couldn't see how many pages it was/how many pages I had left or because it indeed was a bit long😅
but with all said, this is definietly a five star romantasy series I'd recommend to ANYONE who loves a good fantasy with lots of romance😍!!
OMG, you guys! I can't even with this author, she blows me away with her words. Everytime.
I cried!
Tale of the Heart Queen is the last book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series and I have to say that the finale was everything that I could have hoped for and more. I really enjoyed seeing how the plot was built up and how everything fell into place.
The suspense and excitement of this book had me on edge, I was consumed by every word all the way until the end. Pages were submerged with emotions and some pretty astonishing twists. The characters were great and kept me glued to the pages. Lor will probably remain as one of the best heroines I ever came across.
I swear, the deeper you dive into this series the better it gets.
Epic!
The final book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series did not disappoint. After the cliffhanger of the 3rd book I wasn't sure what to expect, luckily I didn't have to wait long.
Despite the first 3 books being slightly predictable, this one had me questioning how things were going to pan out.
My only criticism is the book felt a little long compared to the others.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange of an honest review. This series have been my summer obsession and I'm so happy to read this story early.
I have a lot of emotions about this book, both good ones and bad ones.
Lor and Nadir have quickly became one of my favorite book couples ever. I truly think they're one of the best fantasy couples out there. They have the slow burn, the development, all that good stuff. Their relationship evolve with the story, it's not rushed or dragged. It feels all natural and perfect.
Nisha has a way of getting you attached to the story and the characters. There are a lot of cliches and predictable stuff, but her storytelling and additions make it all fun. You care for all characters and the story gets you excited. I cried in many scenes because I'm just in love with Lor and Nadir and their love story. They were so hard to let go.
However, I'm sad to say that this was my least favorite book in the series. It's a long book, yes, but half of it just felt unremarkable. A lot of scenes could be cut and nothing would change. Despite all the scenes, I feel like the main events and all the big moments were a bit rushed. For example, I expected more of their re-union and the ending of the battle and stuff but they just...happened. It felt like reading the rough ideas in a draft than the book itself.
Still, I enjoyed it and the rest of the series. Lor and Nadir will always be one of my top couples and have a special place in my heart. Now if you excuse me, I will be crying.
Really grateful to be able to read this early. I’ve enjoyed this series, the world building and the characters so much I honestly sobbed coming to the end of book 4.
Lor and Nadir are two great characters who have overcame so much, the trials (quite literally for Lor) and tribulations on this journey have been incomprehensible. The start of the book will break your heart, and it honestly Lor deserved a break.
This is one of my favourite conclusions to a series, the way all the characters play huge parts in this was incredible. Any questions you had about the gods, the arks and their purpose, Lor’s destiny, magic, the heart kingdom and the other kingdoms are all thoroughly answered. You will be satisfied and gutted by the end, but you definitely won’t be disappointed.
Unfortunately, I DNF'd this book at about 60%... I still want to give my thoughts on the series as a whole though, because I did essentially binge the series in order to get to this book before the deadline and there was a lot I liked about it! My favourite books were probably the first and the second because I truly love the characters and the relationship development between Nadir and Lor. I loved how ominous the first book felt, and I loved the push and pull of the second book was the two characters were trying to resist their growing feelings for each other. Unfortunately though, the third and fourth book really started to focus heavily on separating those characters and getting into a lot of history in the world. There was a lot of POV swaps, and not enough time delving into the characters in those POVs to make me really care about them. I think all the POV swaps did detract from the reading experience, especially when the main characters would then repeat the information shared in those POVs as a way of them finding out the next piece of the puzzle they needed. I also think the intense focus on the history of the world was just not interesting for me as a reader. Adding to that the fact that there wasn't enough of a plot pushing the story forward, the whole reading experience just felt really slow, especially in the fourth book. I think there was a lot of talking and history, but just not enough exciting stuff happening on-page and a way too confusing magic and power system in terms of the gods. I found myself getting frustrated with all the mystery, rather than intrigued, which wasn't ideal. I'm really sad about how this ended because I truly loved the first and second book.
This book was everything I needed it to be to wrap up this series. I laughed, I cried and I am bereft that the series is finished.
Nisha’s writing is exceptional and incredibly transporting. I am usually a reader of books 300-400 pages long but despite being almost 700 pages I flew through this and enjoyed every minute.
I have so much love for Lor and Nadir ❤️ Will we maybe see a spin off for Tristan?
4.5 stars⭐️
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for the epic fourth book to this masterpiece of a series! I loved this series so much and I can't believe I've just read the conclusion of this book series! I love the found family in this series and I binged it in one sitting!! I will read anything that this author writes at this point!!!
thank you netgalley for this e-book arc!
When I started this series I was initially sceptical of whether I'd like it or not but I absolutely loved this. Our FMC Lor is very strong and sure of herself but she knows when she's wrong and admits it...eventually. Our MMC Nadir is an absolute sweetheart and I wanted to cry at some points because he was just so sweet. I love that Lor feels safe with Nadir and he is able to help her fight the monsters of her past.
There was soooo much action in this book and a LOT of plot twists. Like I'd turn the page and something literally so unexpected would just happen.
If there was something I didn't like, it was probably that the author decided to redeem apricia. she was SUCH an annoying character ( if you read book one you know what i mean) and I don't like how she magically turned into this amazing person. Like I get that the author needs to tie up loose ends but I personally think she didn't need to redeem apricia because it was unnecessary. I literally forgot she existed.
I do appreciate that The Aurora King redeemed himself but still met a poor fate because he lowkey deserved it. It just broke my heart for Nadir because he finally got hope that his father changed but he still died anyways.
In addition, some sentences in this book just hit me so hard and I think there are quotes in here that some might find entirely relatable. I really did enjoy this book!

Tale of the Heart Queen is a captivating conclusion to the Artefacts of Ouranos series. The story follows Lor, who, after making a grave mistake, finds herself on the run from the Aurora King. Determined to end the conflict once and for all, Lor faces new enemies and must confront her destiny as the key to saving the continent of Ouranos.
As the land rebels, Lor’s journey takes her into the Underworld’s shadowy depths, where she faces deadly trials not just for a crown, but for the future of everyone. Her character arc is compelling, showcasing her growth from a desperate fugitive to a determined leader. The stakes are high, and the tension is palpable as Lor navigates through lies, theft, and battles to hunt down the remaining arks.
Tuli’s writing is immersive, with a richly detailed world and well-developed characters. The romance between Lor and Nadir is a highlight, evolving beautifully throughout the series. The plot is filled with twists and turns, keeping readers on the edge of their seats. The conclusion ties up loose ends satisfyingly, making it a fitting end to an epic saga.
While some might find the pacing a bit slow at times, the overall storytelling and character development make up for it. The blend of fantasy, romance, and adventure is perfectly balanced, making this book a must-read for fans of the genre.
Thank you to Little Brown & NetGalley for providing this eARC of Tale of the Heart Queen
This book is the last book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series and picks up straight after the events of books three luckily which is a good thing after THAT cliffhanger!!
I enjoyed this book and thought it did a great job of wrapping up the series. It was fast paced and we find out more about the history of Ouranos and the background behind certain events & characters. I think that Gabriel’s POV was my favourite this time and you feel emotionally invested in his story despite not being a main character.
I really loved the series as a whole and would definitely recommend
I was so excited about this book, as the first 3 in the series were so much fun and I literally couldn't put them down. After the cliff-hanger we were left on in book 3 I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review this arc & read the book early.
We picked up exactly where we left in book 3, which I appreciated as it meant we got to see the immediate fallout of the events and it was a nice reminder of the stakes. I raced through the first 35% or so, as I really enjoyed the position that Lor was in at the start of this book. I thought it was so interesting to get to see her this desperate, and I loved the parallels with Serce's actions & motivations 300 years prior.
I really like the way these books are structured, with a main POV (Lor) a flashback POV that adds to the lore & our understanding of history in this world & then a couple of extra side characters that make the scope of the story feel wider. The 'flashback' POV in this book was my favourite of the whole series. Getting to understand that particular character, comparing their choices to those made by our MCs, it really contrasted them but also showed the power choices can have. Ultimately this served to create a fleshed out antagonist, where in previous books I did feel he was more 2 dimensional.
Unfortunately, this book lost me a bit in the middle and although the final 30% partially won me back, my heart wasn't fully in it anymore. There was something about the pacing that made me feel like nothing much was happening and I just didn't feel the need to keep reading for quite a stretch. It felt like there was a bit too much of characters talking to each other, catching each other up on what had happened in previous books, and too many scenes of different characters reacting to the same information we've known as readers for 2 books now. Maybe if I had read all the entries in series back to back prior to this one, this might have felt like a much needed reprieve from the action before entering the final act, but as much as I LOVED getting more Lor & Gabriel banter, I was desperate for some action to happen. I also feel like there were some missed opportunities in this story to do something really interesting and original, considering the events at the end of book 3, and the offer made to Lor.
Regarding worldbuilding though, I adored the exploration of the Fae afterlife and the underworld; I thought this really rounded out the world and answered a lot of questions I had. I felt like there were a lot of questions answered in this book that I have had since book 1, and I really loved the conclusion to the Aphelion arc. It felt bittersweet, and earned, and believable. When I realised how the central plot line was going to be resolved, I did get goosebumps & ultimately the conclusion was satisfying for the series, if a little neat & tidy for my taste overall.
Thank you to Netgalley & Little, Brown Book Group UK for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

… Wow.
Big thanks to @netgalley and the publisher @littlebrownbookgroup_uk for an ARC copy in return for an honest review. I was hanging on for this after reading an ARC copy of book 3 and facing a super long wait after THAT ending (IYKYK!) So was super chuffed to get the final book early.
I really loved this whole series! I’m actually a bit sad it’s over, and I don’t think I’ve really felt that way since ACOTAR…👀
This is the fourth and final book in The Artefacts of Ouranos saga, and I loved them all. I always try not to spoil, but I’ve seen Nisha herself saying it’s a happy ending, so it was nice to see everything tied up in a neat little bow.
The last third of the book was sooooo good, it had me staying up super late to try and finish it. If you love romantasy but with a solid storyline (spice, not just smut) then this is for you. There’s gods and goddesses, villains, trials, royalty and magic ✨
Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you @nishajtwrites 🥰

Even though I’m sad for the story to be over, I’m so so happy how the final book managed to wrap up everything perfectly and give the story and characters the ending they deserved.
This series had everything I needed! A deadly conception, slow burn enemies to lovers, forced proximity, an amazingly feisty and strong FMC, great dialogues that made me chuckle more than once.
First of all, a huge thank you to NetGalley and Nisha for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
I have so enjoyed following Lor and Nadir's journey through this series and it's always a bittersweet feeling when you come to the final book in a series. I always have this fear that the author will leave some parts unfinished but Tale of the Heart Queen takes us on a thrilling adventure all the way until the end of the book.
I loved how once again, we are thrown back into the thick of things more the start and the chapters are fast paced as Lor sets off on her quest to end Zerra and find her rightful place in her lost kingdom once and for all, making sure that her loved ones achieve their dreams along the way too.
We get to see more of Ouranos' rulers as well as backstories from more of our beloved and not so beloved characters. The twists and turns near the end of the book had me in a chokehold and staying up reading until the early hours of the morning!
I've really enjoyed this series and I'm beyond excited to hopefully meet Nisha at RARE London.
Lor and her bar of soap get the ending they both deserve 🧼
4.25 stars
Thank you, netgalley, for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review of Tale of the Heart Queen.
The final instalment of the Artefacts of Ouranos brings us back with all our favourites (mine is Gabriel). The fire and sass of the characters stay true to the first book while allowing for some development. That being said, Lor is atrocious at sharing information, and this book has many instances where she has to come clean to those around her. It was during these scenes that I started to lose some of the atmosphere that had been established. It was like having episode recaps midway through.
I liked the way the story evolved, and I think it ended the series nicely. We got a little bit more from the Aurora King, but his personality changes are patchy and contributed to this not getting 5 stars.
Gabriel's chapters were by far my favourite, and his pov was the one I was most moved by. If the strength of his story could have been translated to more of the other characters, then this book would have been next level.
What an end to this series!!!!! The writing in this book was just everything!!!!! I’m so sad to say goodbye to this world but so happy I got to be a part of it. The ending made me sob and gave me shivers all over - couldn’t have imagined a better ending if I tried!!!!
"I promised I would burn down the entire world for you, and I meant it every single time"
Tale of the Heart Queen is the fourth and final book in the "Artefacts of Ouranos" romantasy series by Nisha J Tuli. I loved the dedication at the beginning of the book "To everyone who's waiting for their rainbow at the end of the storm" and this book, overall was a 5-star read for me.
I really enjoyed the fast pace, story/plot, vivid descriptive world building, adventure, family bonds, found family, fated mates themes in this book. The spice was also steamy and sizzling HOT. I also really liked the way the story developed and the inclusion of Gabriel's POV chapters.
I loved the romance story of Lor and Nadir and the ending was emotional, perfect and I cried tears of joy. Tale of the Heart Queen is the perfect completion to the "Artefacts of Ouranos" series and I highly recommend this series to all romantasy readers.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Little Brown Book Group UK for sending me the ARC.
Overall, I’ve had a great time with this series. It’s been a lot of fun, action packed and with a great range of characters. The early books did such a good job of creating a real enemies to lovers vibe for Lor and Nadir and I enjoyed seeing their relationship progress.
This final book wasn’t a short one but it flew by and was super easy to read. I think Gabriel and Rion’s POVs were my favourite. With Rion’s, it was interesting to see the history that led him to this point and the motivations that influenced his decisions (even if everyone else has ultimately been made to suffer due to his own selfish choices and subsequent regrets). However, his descent into drunken madness and his later epiphanies felt a bit sudden from the reader’s perspective. Some other things also feel like they wrap up a bit too neatly (like years of prejudice being undone by one passionate speech - if only!).
All that being said, I would absolutely recommend this quartet to anyone who enjoys the fantasy romance/romamtasy genre.
Tropes:
- Multiple POV
- Fated mates
- Touch her/him and die
Thank you NetGalley for this e-ARC.
