This is the third and final book in the trilogy and follows Poppy and Alistair as they see if there is anything left of that couple now they are divorced and have some distance. Alistair is the bad boy of the title and yet there is none of this in this book, he is reflective and relatively calm although still madly in love with Poppy. The book moves between the United States and the UK with a celebration and worship of the moon happening on both sides of the Atlantic. Poppy tries to stay true to herself and it is once again her friends that help her be grounded and see the future she wants her terms. The ending is never in doubt, but how they get there is worth a read..

This was a really charming and fun read with great characters. The journey between Poppy and Ali was truly heart-warming and I loved all of the supporting characters as well.

The journey this relationship took felt so real. It didn't feel like riducolous plot points were being thrown in at every turn to bring some turmoil to the relationship. It actually felt like a couple trying to heal and work through past trauma from their relationship. Both MC's had matured and developed in very real ways from their previous marraige, and I actually found i could relate to them. They were real people, with real hobbies and real families/friends which made the story feel whole and complete.

None of the characters overreacted and every conflict felt like it was dealt with in a mature and realistic way. It made me actually want to keep reading and I didn't find myself putting the book down and taking a break out of frustration with the characters.

I loved the journey Poppy and Ali went on, and I truly fell in love with each of the supporting characters and their effect on our main characters. As someone who hasn't read the other books in the stories I think I will make time to go back and read the other couples stories. Pickle stan for life!

Different take on the genre with the 2 main characters having been married to each other before, divorced and then back together. Felt strained at times and didn't always flow but a solid read.

I want to start off by saying this didn't read like a final edit. There were a lot of typos, markings indicating unfinished thoughts, abbreviations (obvs instead of the full word), and many formatting errors (words being split apart by extra spaces, lines being cut in half, pages and bolding out of nowhere, etc). The writing was polished in some part, but very inconsistent overall. There were also quite a few contuity errors or things that weren't explained properly (they got married at 18 but also after uni, marriage ended 18months ago, but also only 6 months after the wedding, but they've been apart for years and now somehow they're all grown up now, and more).

I have no problem reading about people with different spiritual beliefs, however I was left confused and frustrated at times, and I'm unsure if that's due to my own personal bias I was unaware of, or due to failures in writing. This was not fanatsy magic, but more spiritual Wiccan Magick based, but also not a book about magic. And I got tired of hearing about the feminine power that suddenly appeared part way through the book, very quickly.

The story itself was cute. I love a good second chance romance. While Ali was clearly the main adversary in their previous attempt at a relationship, I'm glad they both relaised they had their own responsibility in the failure of their marriage and had both intentionally grown since then, and it was clear they still cared for one another. And things didn't simply get better with no help this time around.

As with almost any time a niche subject is brought up and focused on in books, I struggled with paying attention to the tea/kombucha/beer brewing discussions, but it was clear they had their own passions now and were different people now. Though I would have preferes for said descriptions to have been more entwined with the story.

Overall I think it just wasn't for me and it has promise, but it's not quite ready yet to be released.
