Anytime I pick up a book with Elizabeth Goddard's name on the cover, I know I am going to be in for an exciting and suspenseful read that is going to keep me at the edge of my seat. Storm Warning was absolutely no exception! There were so many twists and turns in this book--- honestly, I had absolutely no idea how anything would end up turning out with this one--- feeling like I was kept guessing all the way through to the very end--- which I love in a suspense read. The suspense definitely kept me turning the pages to see how it would all turn out, but I also really enjoyed the chemistry between Remi and Hawk. The romance was perfectly balanced with the suspense, and I couldn't help but enjoy it all. If you love Christian romantic suspense, this is one you'll want to add to your TBR!

Storm Warning is book 1 in the Hidden Bay series by Elizabeth Goddard. I wanted to read this because I live in the Pacific Northwest, near the setting of this book. Storm Warning whisks the reader on a non-stop adventure from the first page. I read it in two days to see how it ended!

Remi Grant is quietly living and working at a lodge in Washington State near the Pacific Ocean. She has memories she cannot access and is under the care of a therapist. She knows something bad happened, but can't remember what. When she receives a lone puzzle piece with a note saying, "Remember before it's too late," Remi knows her missing memory is important and someone wants the information.

Hawk Beckett used to work for the King County Police but was let go in disgrace after a bad decision cost a life. He goes to the lodge to seek some peace and reflection when he finds a damsel in distress. After saving Remi twice, Hawk feels responsible for her and wants to help. Someone is after Remi, but seems to want her alive. Hawk and Remi must fight two storms; one from Mother Nature and the other man-made, determined to kidnap Remi for her memory.

I enjoyed reading Storm Warning. I liked the characters and the story line. The plot is heart pumping and face paced. I would recommend Christian fiction fans to read it!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Haunted by a half-forgotten past, former army photographer Remi Grant is working at an isolated storm-watching lodge on the rocky Washington coast when she receives a mysterious puzzle piece. The puzzle piece may be the catalyst to unlock a disturbing incident she struggles to remember--the event that sent her into hiding. But with heavy storms rolling in, she has to focus on the present, not get caught up in the past.
I have read many of Goddard's novels and this one is as good as it gets!
This book offers non-stop action and I loved every minute. This is Christian Suspense at it's best, and keeps you guessing right to the end, and yes, I guessed wrong at times, and was page turning for answers!
I highly recommend this page turner!

This book was fantastic! Nonstop action from start to finish, and faith embedded throughout. I loved watching the MCs grow as characters and in their faith, and being from the PNW myself, especially enjoyed the setting.

Goddard has another winner here!

I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

As usual, Elizabeth Goddard crafts a fast-paced suspense book that keeps the reader turning pages. Storm Warning takes place on the northern Pacific coast, and I eagerly anticipate further installments in this series, which will feature this amazing (and sometimes dangerous) setting.

My favorite line in the book is … “You know me, Remi. I’m the guy who’s going to help you get your memories back.” So sweet! I love the amnesia trope and a hero like Hawk was perfect for Remi, who has struggled with trusting others. Which makes sense. Someone had chased and targeted her all over the globe. The romance in this story was just enough while the mystery and action kept me invested.

This story is perfect for fans of: Christian romantic suspense, amnesia stories, military fiction, inspirational, stalkers, puzzles, whodunits, psychological, and happily ever afters.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All words are my own.

Revell and Netgalley provided me with a copy of Storm Warning for review:

The combination of amnesia, a hero with dangerous ties, and a deadly storm makes for a thrilling ride.

Remi Grant, a former army photographer haunted by a half-forgotten past, is working at an isolated storm-watching lodge on the Washington coast when she receives a mysterious puzzle piece. It may be the key to unlocking a disturbing incident she cannot remember-the incident for which former military pilot Hawk Beckett is seeking some perspective after a catastrophe in his own life. She must focus on the present, not get caught up in the past, as heavy storms are rolling in.

A mysterious man at the lodge saves Remi's life more than once, leading her to become suspicious and confront him. Former military pilot Hawk Beckett is seeking some perspective after a catastrophic event in his own life. In the face of the fiercest storm to hit the coast in a decade, Remi and Hawk must survive.

They aren't alone at the lodge, however. There is someone out there who does not want Remi to remember what happened--and they will stop at nothing to kill her.

I give Storm Warning five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

A suspense story written in the midst of an awful storm? This book screamed suspense to me!

This series is set in Hidden Bay and the author does a great job of describing the setting.

The characters are amazing and caused me to question throughout the story who was involved and who wasn't.

I enjoyed how the author incorporates Scripture into the story.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

An exciting action-packed story with a plot full of twists and turns. A woman in hiding with a dangerous past, and a man with a secret mission collide in a remote area of the Washington coast. Both need each other's help when things turn deadly.

This fast-paced story was hard to put down and kept me guessing until the clues were all revealed. The plot twists were unexpected and helped develop the characters' dilemma. Both main characters had histories that made it hard for them to trust each other. Their relationship develops quickly with the stressful situation they are in. I like how the author did the push and pull of their interactions, so it was more realistic and not an insta-love type plot. It left room for future possibilities. I enjoyed reading a story set in a place that was familiar and made it more interesting.
Some faith elements are tucked in along the way with short prayers for help.
Recommend for readers who enjoy a fast-paced romantic suspense read. Looking forward to more in the series.

I really enjoy Elizabeth Goddard's books, and this one was right up there.
This book offers non-stop action, whether someone is stalking you, or attacking you, or shooting at you.
Our main character is suffering from a mental block as to what happened and why danger is now her constant companion.
Enter a man that made choices, yes the right ones, but ended up in the death of a good man! He wants to give helicopter rides, giving tours over the beautiful Washington coast.
This is Christian Suspense at it's best, and keeps you guessing right to the end, and yes, I guessed wrong at times, and was page turning for answers!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Revell, and was not required to give a positive review.

Romance, mystery and nonstop action are the words I'd use to sum up Elizabeth Goddard's new series - Hidden Bay. I have read reviews where people said the villain was surprising however, I guessed the trajectory of the story fairly early on. That could be due to the number of books I read though.

Overall it was a good book. The characters are interesting and the book leaves you wanting to know the backstory of another character which will take place in the second story in the series. I liked the Christian focus to this book.

I receive complimentary books for various sources, including Netgalley, Authors, and other such sources. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received compensation.

Wow! I started out this story feeling slightly baffled by all of the unknowns in the story. But as I kept reading and the story unfolded, I realized it made me feel like I understand Remi, the main character, that much better because everything was unfolding in real time. The story was fast paced, full of action and intrigue and had me wanting to carve out more time for reading so I could solve the mystery alongside the characters. This series from Elizabeth Goddard is going to be one full of mystery and intrigue, and it will keep me second guessing what's true or not and I am here for that ride!

On the opening pages of Storm Warning, by Elizabeth Goddard, you will see Remi Grant, the manager of a lodge along the rocky shores of Washington, being rescued from a certain death. Former military pilot Hawk Beckett had arrived on the scene just in time. As they make their way to an adjoining cliff, Hawk cannot help noticing that the rope Remi had been attempting to use in her escape had actually been shredded. Something shady was definitely going on!

Remi and Hawk had actually met before; however, after a traumatic incident had caused amnesia, Remi has no recall of this fact. When clues from her past keep showing up, Remi knows she needs help. Someone had definitely found her in spite of all her efforts to stay hidden. All Remi can do is turn to Hawk for protection!

This is a high-intensity tale as both Remi and Hawk attempt to stay one step ahead of a killer. You will be surprised by the identity of the culprit when it is revealed on the final pages!

What a fast-paced opening to a brand new series by Elizabeth Goddard!

Remi Grant is supposed to find healing in working in a remote area in the Pacific Northwest. Memories evade her despite danger following her. If only she could remember part of her past, maybe she could figure out who wants her dead.

Hawke Beckett wants to forget the mission that went south during his time as a special ops military pilot. Crossing paths with Remi at the Hidden Bay resort only revives all the reasons he shouldn’t be helping her.

A slew of secondary characters keep readers guessing who the mastermind is. No one is who they appear to be, creating a delightful who-dun-it for readers. Twists and surprises will keep readers turning the pages until all is revealed at the end. And strange connections between minor characters abound.

The remote setting plays into the suspense, giving villains plenty of opportunity to create diversions. And nature does its best to beat Remi too.

I quite enjoyed the fact that the character I predicted to be the villain, wasn’t.

It’s a great first book to a new series. I look forward to reading book two!

I received an ecopy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

Another fast paced novel from Elizabeth Goddard. i enjoyed this story and look forward to continuing the series. i loved the setting! And the concept of the lodge and its employees sets up the future novels, which is great and I am already curious about the secondary characters past 9and futures).
My one caveat is the the main character (Remi's in this stories in ability to sense danger...she drove me crazy with her insistence to do something reckless while being in a tense situation (like wanting fries directly after a car chase).
But overall I enjoyed reading this book and really appreciated the clean aspect and faith content. Fans of Lynette Eason will also enjoy this novel.

“At the end of the day, where a person’s heart leaned - toward God or away - was what mattered.”

I can always count on Elizabeth Goddard to write an adrenaline-filled novel that I just can’t set down! Her ability to draw me in, care about her characters, get dazzled with her settings, and get encouragement for my faith journey is spectacular.

This first book in her new series features 29-year old Remi Grant, the manager of Cedar Trails Lodge in isolated Hidden Bay in the Pacific North West. Ex-Army Grant is driven by fear and paranoia and struggles to break free from her past.

Hawk Beckett arrives in Hidden Bay looking for a place to stay to get distance and perspective after a failed mission. He’s an Army helicopter pilot and former member of the Night Stalkers, a
Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

Remi has arrived in Hidden Bay to help remember her past. Hawk has arrived hoping to forget his past.

When they meet in this spectacular novel, Remi and Hawk get swept up in a world of double-crossing, international espionage, immanent danger and discover they are surrounded by untrustworthy people. I loved the focus on being free of our past and the reminder that we have no control over another’s decisions, just our reaction to them.

I can’t wait to see what Goddard has planned next!

I was gifted this book by Revell and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

A deep and complex storyline that keeps you engaged right to the end. It helped me to remember that I need to trust people and use discernment at the same time, people are not always what they seem to portray.

Former Army photographer Remi is plagued by amnesia. Former military pilot Hawk is near and saves her life more than once. They battle the storm that’s coming and the person out to stop her from regaining her memory.

This is one of Goddard's best yet! Totally loved it.
A rollercoaster of a ride with awesome characters and a great plot that won't let you put the book down. Just wow!!
This was a fantastic story that I enjoyed in guessing the who done it part. Lots of twists and turns that sometimes made my head spin but that's ok. It's what make a great story!
The storm setting was fantastic! I felt like I could hear the waves crashing against the cost.
I held held my breath from time to time throughout the story.
I do however; wish the author wouldn't put the excerpts from the next book at the end. To me, it spoils the story before we get to read it.
I can't wait until the next book!
5 stars from me. I highly recommend.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

I had not read Elizabeth Goddard before, but I'm delighted to have been introduced to her writing with STORM WARNING. The Washington coast setting is gorgeous and haunting. The arrival of a mysterious puzzle piece really gets the story going. I absolutely loved the protagonist, Remi, a former Army photographer with a tragic past. Hawk is also terrific as the male lead. As a serious storm barrels closer, they draw closer to each other in a battle for survival. Highly recommended for fans of "clean" thrillers/suspense novels.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance e-galley; all opinions in my review are 100% my own.
