Foster is a FMX racer and almost died during a competition away from home. All of Eve’s feelings and nightmares about losing him due to an accident came flooding back to her while she helped save his life and then decided to keep sticking around to nurse him back to health.

Like Eve, I’m an RN, so it was fun to read her experience as an RN and then also taking care of her ex. What a predicament that would be!

It was an emotional rollercoaster of them remembering their past, navigating their present situation, and then deciding how to move forward. As a reader, you want to yell at them and cheer them on to finally express what they truly want and rekindle their spark.

I like how the characters are estranged exes brought together by a medical accident. It's an interesting premise.

I enjoyed how the novel moves at a good pace and doesn't waste too much time on descriptions and boring stuff.

There are some grammatical and editing things that I didn't enjoy. It irks me that there is no line spacing in between paragraphs. There is also no new line for dialogue. There's also lots of boring adjectives, which could easily be changed by opening a thesaurus.

I don't really understand why the main character is supposed to be this really hard working medical professional who does a lot of overtime, yet she has time to scroll social media at work. During the day, not a break time. It doesn't make sense.

I feel like this novel has good ideas and excellent potential. It could be a great novel with a few tweaks and adjustments. As-is, I give it a 3/ 5

3.75 stars! Such a sweet, feel-good story! I absolutely enjoyed it. The main characters, Eve and Foster, are both so likable, and their chemistry is just chef’s kiss. From the very beginning, I was hooked on their journey, and the story flowed so smoothly that I breezed through it.

The book follows Eve, who’s a bit stuck in life, and Foster, her old flame, and you just know sparks are going to fly when they reconnect. Their banter is super cute, and I loved how the author balanced the emotional moments with humor. It had the perfect mix of heartwarming moments and light drama, without ever feeling too heavy or drawn out.

Aimee Brown's writing style is easy to sink into, and the pacing keeps you turning the pages. Everything just flows, making it one of those books you could easily finish in one sitting (guilty!). It's the kind of romance that leaves you with a smile on your face and a warm, fuzzy feeling by the end.

I was fully immersed in this from the start… fascinating!

This was a fun, easy read for fans of second-chance romance. The characters were likeable and the plot was interesting. The writing was good with lots of detail.

However, this wasn’t a five star read for me for two reasons: Eve broke up with Foster but he’s made to seem the bad guy for not going after her - twice - when we should all just accept that “no” means no (and learn to communicate better if we don’t mean no). Additionally, the problems between the two that caused them to break up the first time never really got resolved - and another issue got added with a big lie.

I still enjoyed the story a lot. It was a sweet romance. The ending was well-done and very cute. I give this book 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4) and I will likely look for other stories by the same author.

This was a cute second chance romance , where we follow Foster and Eve as they navigate seeing each other for the first time 5 (ish) years after their break up. We know going into the book Foster is in an accident and Eve ends up looking after him, I really enjoyed reading about her supporting and helping him heal. This allowed them to slowly talk about the past and rediscover the things they liked about each other.

I enjoyed that the book included flashbacks to their past, allowing us to see how their relationship previously developed and got to see their pivotal moments before they separated. It added depth to the story and gave some insight to their past.

Overall this was a fun and enjoyable read!

I LOVED THIS STORY! I've read a few of Aimee Brown's books and this one is something extra special. I'm a sucker for a guy with tattoos and he reminded me of a guy in my building, so totally relatable! What I loved about this book:

The writing style: The wit and humor just had me giggling.
The story: I was surprised by the emotions I felt for these two.
The characters: I mentioned the tattoos. :) But also Eve and (Guy) Foster felt so real to me. Like I knew them personally, and that's hard to do. It must be because I don't feel that with most the books I read.

This was a cute story. With one bad accident Foster literally crashes back into Eve’s life. Jumping back and forth from real time to five years before you get their whirlwind relationship recap and where they are currently in their lives. Foster and Eve never had closure from their short marriage. Seeing each other again brings up all sorts of emotions. The struggle is real to not fall back into old habits. Can a thrill junkie and a career nurse find what it takes to make it work? A lot of laughter, tears and love seem to be the answer.
