Still the One is a light, fun romance to read during the holidays.. Readers will enjoy the witty dialogue and lovable characters and root for them to find love again!

Eve and Foster was love at first sight. They were married within a month. But broken up soon after with hardly any spoken words. Five years later, they meet again in the worst circumstances.
Forced proximity, second chance love. I enjoyed the side characters but I felt like the story and characters lacked development and depth. The story was pretty linear.
It is a happy ending and I enjoyed the last chapter.

A joy from start to finish. Romantic and relatable. Love finds us at the right time and that’s what this book gets at. Both main characters were a joy to get to know.

4.5 🌟
This book was super cute! Definitely what I look for in my RomCom books. I love when books change perspectives in love stories. It makes it easy to connect with both characters. And (obviously) I was rooting for them the whole time!
Took off half a star for two reasons… 1) because many times the cadence was just off - like scene changes would happen where there should’ve been a page break and there wasn’t. 2) I can’t say that this RomCom vibe book actually made me laugh. But I did get all the warm, fuzzy, lovey feelings, so that made up for it in my eyes.
Overall, I really liked this book, but I didn’t LOVE it.
This is my first review with #NetGalley and I’m looking forward to getting more sneak peaks of new books!

A very different book to what I would normally choose today as this is quite a sweet romance novel that is mostly talk rather than action and set in the US, which is not something I normally look for in a romance book. I normally like mine a little grittier than this, which is a completely ‘closed door’ romance which features nothing more daring than a little chaste kissing on the page.
I’m not sure whether this will qualify as a ‘sports romance’ as, although the male protagonist is a successful, professional FMX rider, there is not much of his riding on the page, as he has a serious accident very early on in the book, which forms the inciting incident. Maybe someone more knowledgable in the genre than I will be able to tell me! Again, sports romances are not something than usually attracts me, but, despite this book being out of my normal romance-reading comfort zone, I found myself very much enjoying it, proving that it is good to widen your horizons from time to time!
The book is set in Portland, Oregon – a place I have always wanted to visit – so this was a big selling point for me and I enjoyed the parts forays out into the city. However, as Foster is seriously injured from fairly early on in the book, the action (such as it is) is mainly confined to the hospital and the inside of Eve’s apartment. And, given that Foster is injured, there is very little in the way of actual ‘action so, if you require a lot of ‘happening’ rather than talking in your books, this isn’t going to work for you. However, there are some parts that flashback a few years to when the pair first met that see them out and about – their first meeting is a highlight – and when Foster starts to improve- you’ll want to watch out for their evening at a country music bar which was my favourite scene of the book.
All of this being said, the characters are so strong and the chemistry between them – despite being not at all spicy on the page – is palpable and this carries the book really well despite the confines of setting and plot arc. I loved both Eve and Foster and was invested in their whirlwind romance from the beginning. This was a really sweet read with two great characters and fantastic tension and a satisfying ending. A big thumbs up from me.

When Eve's ex-husband Foster still has her listed as his emergency contact 5 years after they broke up, she can't let him wake up with no one by his side. Eve spends more time with Foster and even agrees for him to move in with her while he's recovering. As much as Eve cares for Foster and has been unable to find love in their time apart, she isn't sure if she can forgive him for prioritising his career over her.
This book was certainly emotional, and kept me wanting to find out more! I would class it as a second-chance romance, which I don't usually enjoy but the emergency contact plot made it interesting. I enjoyed the book, but it felt like there were a few things missing and that they solved their issues too quickly. One thing I really liked was reading the dual point of view.

I thoroughly enjoyed Eve and Foster's story. Aimee Brown does an excellent job of deeply examining their relationship, both through flashbacks and the characters thoughts in the present.

‘Maybe we needed to lose ourselves before we could truly find each other?’
This book was engaging and I liked the whole "exes being in close proximity to each other due to an accident" part. The first few chapters were really easy to get into but after a while, I felt like the story wasn't moving forward. There were definitely some pent up feelings between Foster & Eve but I didn't really feel the chemistry between them. Also, the flashbacks were were wishy-washy and didn't make me feel anything. The main conflict about these two living in two different cities was also resolved very quickly in the epilogue and I was expecting some angst because of it, but unfortunately the last half was very abrupt. The plot definitely had potential but the execution could've been better imo.
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review

It is really difficult for me to decide on a star review to this book.
On one hand, I really adored the writing of this author, the way everything was described was amazing; I connected so much with the main characters and I loved reading the little glimpses into their past, as well as reading their conversations.
But, on the other hand, the third break up act really upset me, because it made no sense, considering all their conversations leading up to this point. Also, I absolutely hated the side characters.
All in all, it is a 3.5 star read, that I rounded up to 4 stars.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Five years after their break-up, Eve still hasn’t found a reason to believe in true love. But when her ex-husband Foster has an accident and she discovers she’s still listed as his next of kin, Eve knows she can’t let him wake up in hospital with no one by his side. After all, those devilishly blue eyes have always been hard to say no to…
Foster isn’t sure if his poor battered brain is playing tricks on him when he sees the only woman he’s ever loved sitting next to his bedside. Maybe Eve never got over him like he never got over her? And when Eve agrees to him moving into her one-bedroom apartment to recover, it’s clear these exes have unfinished business.
I really loved this book! From the very first page, I was interested and couldn't wait to see what happened! I am also a nurse, so I could really relate to Eve and the emotional role coaster she was taking when Foster came into her ER. I loved the dual POV's, getting to see the internal struggle of both Eve and Foster as they navigate the unusual situation they are in. They are both very loveable characters and show tremendous growth throughout the story. I really enjoyed the side characters as well and felt they added to the storyline. This was a slow-burn, closed door romance with a HEA. I would definitely recommend this book!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this book in exchange for my honest review.

"Still The One" by Aimee Brown is a well-crafted second-chance romance full of delicious tropes and interesting characters.
Neighbor Phil definitely stole the show!
Overall, "Still The One" is a warm and sweet read that explores the concepts of true love, forgiveness, and compromise. Ideally suited for fans of closed-door romance novels.

I sadly DNF'd this book as much as i was gripped by the description and the cover. I love a slow burner however felt this was way too slow and left me wanting more and more and i soon become bored of the story.
Loved the overall characters eve and foster but would of enjoyed it more if we got more details about their past.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this arc, net galley and the publisher :)

An endearing second chance romance. Married after a one month whirlwind romance, Eve found the weeks apart from Foster to be seriously hard. She felt second to his motorcycle daredevil career. After three lonely months, she left him and divorced. However, the love never died and when he is seriously injured in a stunt gone wrong, she is enlisted to nurse him back to health. Life then takes many turns for both of them.
A very sweet and engaging romance.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Still. The One was an okay romance if you believe in getting back together after a break up. The MMC is a major risk-taker and once the FMC got over the fascination and the thrills she moved on into a more settled lifestyle and a stable job she loved. When he ends up in the motorcycle accident of her worst nightmare, she discovers she still cares. She cares enough to sit by his hospital bed and take him home for follow-up care.
The actual basis of relationship between these characters seems shallow and immature. Aside from the oft-mentioned sexual attraction there seems to be little reason for the FMC to give so much time and attention to this man. Over their five years apart he has not shown any inclination beyond an annual online posting to change anything. I know people often believe a big shake-up can change the direction of one's life, but in the case of addiction to thrill/risk-taking that's a big IF.
I appreciate the opportunity Aimee Brown and NetGalley offered to read this ARC in exchange for a review.

Still the One by Aimee Brown is a heartwarming contemporary romance that explores the themes of second chances and the enduring power of love.
The story follows Eve Cassidy and Guy Foster, whose whirlwind romance and marriage ended in heartbreak five years ago. When Guy has an accident and Eve discovers she's still listed as his next of kin, she knows she can't let him wake up alone in the hospital.
The narrative beautifully captures the tension and emotional complexity of rekindling a past love. Eve and Guy are forced to confront their unresolved feelings and the reasons behind their breakup as they navigate the challenges of living together while Guy recovers.
The plot is engaging and filled with moments of humor(specially those puns), vulnerability, and genuine connection. I liked how the story was written and the smooth flow and pacing it had with the flashbacks and backstory of the characters. It was interesting and realistic.
"Love is enough"
Aimee Brown through our main leads shows how important it is to support each other's dreams but the same time to ensure love is enough, that your partner is your priority too and communication is of utmost importance.
Eve is a strong and independent character who has built a life for herself after the breakup, while Fost is a charismatic freestyle motocross rider whose career has taken him on a different path. They were good but their communication was not. The relationship they share is relatable and so are they. The supporting characters were too good. I liked how everyone with their parts made an impact to overall story.
The book explores themes of trust, forgiveness, and the importance of communication in relationships. It also highlights the idea that sometimes, the person you're meant to be with is still the one, even after time and distance have come between you.
Still the One is a delightful and touching romance that will resonate with readers who enjoy stories of second chances and enduring love.

Thanks to Boldwood Books for my copy
I absolutely loved this delightful second-chance romance! It was such a quick read. We follow Eve Cassidy and Guy Foster as they reconnect after five years apart. I really enjoyed exploring their past and seeing how their earlier connection impacts their present. Guy's character stands out with his vibrant personality, making the story even more engaging. I can’t wait to dive into more like this!

I enjoyed the set-up of the book. It was cute, and the characters came across as very sweet people.
It was an easy read and one you can get through quickly, but it definitely could have been a four or five star. It had more potential, but it hit a point about halfway through the book that it became a bit corny, and their relationship/chemistry stopped developing. You don't really get much from the flashbacks either around this point.
The couple were slightly frustrating at the end because they didn't work out any of their issues on the page either. Would make a light, quick summer read.

A sweet, easy and very quick read from this author. I devoured this book in a day and found it such an easy read. Loved all the characters and look forward to more from her. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Will weeks in close quarters be the making or breaking of this smouldering second chance love story? Up close and personal, old habits can be hard to break.
Loved it. Will recommend to others.

My Thoughts :
We meet Eve Cassidy, five years ago after a very quick romance with Guy Foster and with only 30days under their belts, they got married.
Having rushed into things the marriage just didnt work and they went their separate ways.
Now it seems Foster is back, he turns up at Eve’s place of work unresponsive after a stunt motorbike accident where she works as a trauma nurse. Eve is still listed as his next of kin, and it seems he has no one so Eve has to care for him while he is in the hsopital.
When the time comes for him to leave the hospital, Eve offers to move him into her one bedroom flat where he can continue to recover. Foster is unable to go home alone as he needs around the clock care and there is no one else that can do it, so Eve feels responsible.
As the two spend more time together and grow close again, can they pick up from where they left off or is the past better to be left in the past!?.
I really enjoyed the POV’s from both Eve and Foster, as we get to learn more about their early relationship and why things just didnt work out.
Aimee Brown gives us all the drama with likeable characters. This was an enjoyable, fun read which is all about second chances.
Looking forward to more from Aimee Brown soon.
