A really enjoyable read.
I would recommend to family and friends.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for my ARC, in exchange for an honest review.

An interesting, dark and unsettling sci-fi thriller. It's a crime story that looks at the ways in which technology is insinuating itself into all aspects of life - taken to a SF "extreme" (really, it's not so unbelievable that we'll see something similar to the "Skinjobs" or "Dollhouses" in the not-too-distant future).
McCabe is a good writer and plotter, and the novel kept my interesting throughout. Good action, good characters, and engaging plot.

Skinjob by Bruce McCabe is a stand-alone thriller which tells the story of Daniel Madsen, a federal agent on the hunt to catch a bomber before he strikes again. Skinjob is not your average crime thriller. Set in the not too distant future this book is set in a technologically advanced world, that is laden with greed and corruption. Skinjob has some well written and fast-paced action scenes and it is not afraid to tackle some troublesome questions about morality, religion and politics. Bruce McCabe is not shy about concentrating on the sex industry and what future technological advances might mean for the morality of a nation. I will let the reader decide whether they agree or disagree with his opinion. McCabe explores these issues in some depth which detracts from the pace and plot of the novel. I am not sure that McCabe fully understood what he wanted this book to be, it sits in an odd no man's land between psychological thriller and morality tale. Skinjob is an unusual take on the genre with a clever plot and well-developed characters. It is not a book for every reader.
