I really wanted to love this one. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere but the characters and plot seemed underdeveloped. I ended up DNFing about half way through because I was not interesting in finishing.

This was so cute and cozy! The perfect winter read. It's a great mix of romance, adventure and magic that you just want to curl up with next to the fire and a good cup of tea

First, thank you to NetGalley and the publishers and Jenny Sandiford for an ARC of the cozy story!!

I really liked this book! It was everything I expected. It was sweet, magical, and light. The romance was slow burn and sweet. No insta love here! I’m a huge fan of banter and this book did not disappoint. Overall it was a light, easy read. The sort of book I love to read between my science fiction/fantasy adventure story’s that overwhelm my brain with world building and names I can barely pronounce.

This book is a perfectly cozy read that you should enjoy with a nice cup of tea and wrapped in your favorite blanket! Preferably with a cat on your lap.

I absolutely love Winterfrost Market, it is so cosy, adventurous, banter filled, it’s the perfect read. Elsie is brilliant, tenacious and fun, Kit is her perfect match, jaded, guarded but with a gorgeous heart. I really hope there’s a sequel.

**Review for *Winterfrost Market: A Cozy Fantasy Holiday Romance* by Jenny Sandiford**

*Winterfrost Market* by Jenny Sandiford is the perfect cozy fantasy read for the holiday season. With its enchanting setting, heartwarming romance, and sprinkling of magic, this book takes you on a delightful journey that blends cozy comfort with a dash of adventure and mystery.

Elsie, a tea-loving mortal with a heart as warm as the beverages she serves, is the charming protagonist of this story. She works tirelessly in her family's cozy traveling tea house at the Winterfrost Market, a place renowned for its Midwinter celebrations. But when Elsie's mother fails to return from a mysterious journey to Midwinter Haven—a fairytale land rumored to be inhabited by elves, witches, and fae—Elsie’s world is thrown into uncertainty. As she grapples with worry and fear, she enlists the help of Kit, a mysterious and captivating tracker, to guide her northward to find her mother.

The chemistry between Elsie and Kit is electric, though it's clear that Kit is hiding something. As they journey together, Elsie is drawn into a world of magic she never knew existed. But with her growing feelings for Kit, she’s torn between trust and suspicion. Could Kit be the charming prince of her dreams, or is he a fae in disguise, with secrets that could shatter her world?

Sandiford masterfully creates a setting brimming with magic, from the charming Winterfrost Market to the mystical land of Midwinter Haven. The descriptions of the holiday celebrations, the tea, and the magic are so vivid and comforting that they practically transport you into the heart of a fairytale winter wonderland. The atmosphere is cozy yet filled with a sense of adventure, making it the perfect read for those who enjoy a touch of magic with their holiday romances.

Elsie is an incredibly relatable and endearing character, driven by love for her family and a desire to do what's right. Her journey is both emotional and exciting, as she navigates the unknown while slowly discovering that there is so much more to her world than she ever thought possible. Kit, with his mystery and charm, keeps you guessing throughout the story, and his evolving relationship with Elsie is a highlight of the book.

The plot itself is full of twists and turns, keeping readers engaged as Elsie uncovers the magic of Midwinter Haven while also facing the emotional turmoil of trusting someone she might not fully understand. As the romance builds, so does the tension of uncovering the truth about Kit’s secrets and what really happened to Elsie’s mother.

*Winterfrost Market* is a delightful mix of cozy holiday cheer, heartwarming romance, and magical mystery. It’s the kind of book that feels like wrapping yourself in a blanket with a cup of tea while settling in front of a fire on a snowy winter’s night. "Winterfrost Market" by Jenny Sandiford is a charming and atmospheric novel that transports readers to a quaint, wintry setting. The story is filled with delightful descriptions and a cozy ambiance that makes it perfect for a winter read. However, while the setting is beautifully crafted, the plot and character development can feel somewhat lacking. The narrative pace is uneven, and some characters could benefit from more depth and complexity. Despite these shortcomings, "Winterfrost Market" offers a pleasant escape with its enchanting setting and heartwarming moments.

If you're looking for the ultimate cosy fantasy...look no further! From the moment I open the cover I was immediately drawn into the atmospheric novel woven expertly together by Jenny Sandiford. Her level of skill in creating a deep and complex world and describing it in a way that made me feel as if I were there with the characters is incredible. Even the romance felt genuine and I could see the subtle buildup from the beginning. I devoured the entire novel in one sitting as I sat on my couch with a cup of tea while wrapped in a cosy blanket. It is truly the best way to enjoy Winterfrost Market!

This was a DNF for me. I wanted to fall into the characters and the story, but kept feeling like I was spinning my wheels, knocking off pages, and not getting anywhere. There are some compelling moments, but overall, this was just one that wasn’t for me.

❄️☕ 𝓦𝓮𝓵𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓮 𝓽𝓸 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓯𝓻𝓸𝓼𝓽 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓴𝓮𝓽! ❄️☕

Market promises an enchanting adventure. Elsie spends her days working tirelessly at her family’s traveling tea house, a staple of the renowned Midwinter Market. But when her mother vanishes on a trip to Midwinter Haven, a northern realm filled with elves, witches, and fae, Elsie has no choice but to embark on a journey of her own.

Determined to bring her mother home, she enlists the help of Kit, an intriguing tracker with secrets of his own. As they travel north, Elsie is swept into a world she never imagined, filled with wonders and dangers alike. But with fae known for their cunning, she must decide whether Kit is a trustworthy ally or a trickster with hidden motives. The road ahead holds more than just answers-it holds the risk of losing her heart.

Winterfrost Market had all the makings of a cozy, whimsical read, warm winter vibes, a magical traveling tea shop, and a wholesome dog named Pepper. While I loved the concept, I found myself wishing for more depth in both the world-building and character development.

The traveling tea shop was one of the most intriguing aspects, but rather than delving into its lore, the story primarily focused on the main characters, Elsie and Kit, as they journeyed to the kingdom to rescue Elsie’s mother. While the plot was fast paced, which helped keep the momentum going, I felt like it ultimately worked against the story, leaving little room for deeper world building or character exploration.

Elsie and Kit didn’t fully capture my interest, as I found them somewhat bland, which made it harder to feel truly invested in their journey. Anders, on the other hand, seemed like a more interesting character, but his role was too brief for me to determine if I would have enjoyed reading more about him.

Another aspect that held me back from fully enjoying Winterfrost Market was the writing itself, it often felt awkward and repetitive, which took me out of the story at times.

Overall, while I loved the cozy atmosphere and the idea of a traveling tea shop, I wanted more from this book, more world building, more character depth, and more time spent immersing myself in the magic of the setting. If you’re looking for a light and fast paced fantasy with wintry charm, this might still be worth a read, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations.

📅 Winterfrost Market was released on October 24, 2024.

Special thanks to NetGalley, Jenny Sandiford, and Velikor Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

"Winterfrost Market" by Jenny Sandiford is like a warm cup of cocoa with extra whipped cream—sweet, a little magical, and impossible to put down. Elsie, a tea vendor with serious main-character energy, sets off on an adventure to find her missing mom in a winter wonderland straight out of a snow globe. Along for the ride? A mysterious tracker, his very good dog, and enough cozy vibes to make you want to live in this book forever. It’s got adventure, romance, and the kind of festive magic that makes you want to build a blanket fort and read all night. Highly recommend!

I lighthearted cozy to warm you up during a cold winter. After Elsies mother goes missing while on a trip, she enlists the aid of a tracker heading in the direction her mother disappeared into... the fae lands. Facing her fears and preconceived perceptions of the different species, Elsie finds that not everything is as shes been told. Secrets are revealed and truths come out once they discover what happened to her mother. But to save her and the town that Elsie has fallen in love with, risks must be taken. Risks that could cause both Kit and Elsies own lives if they arent careful.

This was a quick and lighthearted read. Some darker themes were included but our HEA more than makes up for it.

REVIEW: Winterfrost Market by Jenny Sandiford ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A big thank you to NetGalley and Velikor Publishing for providing a copy of Winterfrost Market. This was a delightful, cozy fantasy perfect for the winter season.

The story follows Elsie, a warm-hearted, tea-loving mortal, who works at her family’s traveling tea house during the enchanting Midwinter celebrations at Winterfrost Market. The cozy festivities, however, lose their charm when her mother mysteriously fails to return from a journey to Midwinter Haven—a mystical, fairy-tale-like land said to be home to elves, witches, and fae. Elsie’s growing worry sends her on an adventure north, seeking help from Kit, a mysterious tracker with secrets of his own.

The book offers a low-stakes fantasy adventure that transports you to a magical winter world filled with whimsical elements like the traveling tea houses and a romantic, slow-burn connection between Elsie and Kit. I adored both Elsie and Kit—Elsie’s warmth and determination were so easy to root for, while Kit’s enigmatic nature kept me intrigued. Their opposites-attract dynamic was sweet, and their growing bond was a highlight of the book.

The winter wonderland atmosphere, magical market, and festive vibes make this the perfect book to curl up with under a blanket and a cup of tea. It’s an easy, heartwarming read, making it a great escape for cozy winter days.

However, while I enjoyed the charming adventure, I found myself wishing for a bit more depth and mystery. The plot felt a little too light, and I was hoping for something more gripping to hold my attention. That said, Winterfrost Market is still a delightful, feel-good read that’s perfect for fans of low-stakes, magical romance.
